"Unlikely. We'd best move as fast as possible then. the sooner we reach this alien tecnology, the better. It seemed to recognise the Duvan'Rah as an old enemy. I'm going off on a limb and guessing that thing may have had a hand in the disaster that drove your kind to construct the Ark in the first place. I wouldn't put it past that thing to try and hunt you down actively" responded Horus...

"Simply put. I think we've found what killed the Duvan'Rah" explained Horus as he eyed Osiris...

Osiris replied again, not quite understanding what Horus was trying to say "Considering that Placentra and I are very much alive, and we just fought two other Duvan'rah, and placentra tell's me a fifth showed up during the fight, I'm going to go out on a limb and say, no, that's stupid, it didn't kill us.."

"You've forgotten what i told you about how you reached the planet in the first place? Ark, millions of stored entities representing what remained of the Duvan'Rah's civilisation?" replied Horus. perhaps the other Duvan'Rah had done more damage than he initially thought...

Osiris replied simply "I didn't forget, but I never said I believed it either."

the Dragon sighed at the respond, giving up. "I can't say i know it all...but i can assure you i've only told you what the Ark showed me" replied Horus eventually...

Osiris replied thoughtfully "I understand that, but I can't exactly make judgement based on your stories, dragon. When I've uncovered more myself, I will get back to you on the subject."

"Fair enough" responded Horus, understanding the Duvan'Rah's skepticism. as he reached a relatively open area in the city the Dragon edged away from Osiris before stretching his wings upwards and outwards slightly, testing the joints to see if he could fly. noting a slight painful sting at one point in one wing, he furled his wings again and directed his internal systems to run a diagnosis of the problem and find a solution...

Aeonus appeared again, behind G1, with its front limbs poised to strike. This time, however, it was not without retaliation. Twin maser blasts slammed into the alien's chest, throwing it back, the resulting swing toward G1 missing the mech's back by only a few feet. Landing on its bladed limbs, Aeonus let out an otherworldly snarl. "I see my previous demonstration did not set in. Perhaps another lesson is in order." it boomed, disappearing in another flash as another shot was fired, harmlessly striking the ground...

Megapede began to lower his front sections toward the ground, only to use his four insectoid arms to grab four chunks of earth once they were close enough. Rearing back up, the centipede hurled two of the chunks at the Kryll approaching him. MKG, meanwhile, spun around, blasting 3 Kryll with his beams...

"All GDF units are ordered to retreat. Disengage the target and evacuated the area as quickly and safely as possible." the order was issued, and the mechs would obey without question. Battered and broken, they left, many taking to the air, while STING dove into the ground, disappearing shortly after. In their wake, Aeonus reappeared in mid-air, laughing. "Yes, run! Abandon your world and accept your destruction!" it taunted, chuckling darkly. The spider-like limbs began to retract back into Aeonus' body, shifting back into its previous form. The alien being was suddenly enveloped in a sphere of blinding light, which smashed into the ground directly beneath it, creating a miles-wide crater in a split second, with the sphere at its center. The ground around the sphere began to shudder violently, the earthquake one of the strongest in earth's history, with no intention of stopping. Completely ignorant to the event at hand, the GDF mechs continued to retreat, Tyvexious carrying his severed arm...

Razortail, having received the order to retreat at the same time as his fellow units, fell back with them, flying away from the battlefield at Mach 3 once he was at a sufficent height over the city so that the buildings would be unaffected by the sonic boom. The wounds inflicted earlier had stopped bleeding, but he knew that staying to fight would only result in worse injuries and possibly death...

Jackson bared his teeth, his hands practically trembling on his command console, pilot cursing the monster as it appeared. With the order, he powered down the hypermaser. It let out a low droning as the pulsating blue-white glow at the end disappeared. G1 pulled back in a hover before twisting about in the air and shooting off, unable to safely transform in his current state. Another defeat, and this time he had the support of the other units. Above him, he saw the golden flash of light that signalled the space wasp's departure. A sonic boom went off beyond the clouds, the clouds themselves tearing away into thin white wisping trails behind the cyborg...

The sky began to darken unnaturally over the quaking ground, as if the world was tearing itself asunder...

After some time, the GDF units arrived at the nearest base: The European HQ. Each damaged machine was lowered inside one by one, while those that took less damage were sent outside to make sure the area remained secure. Inside, repairs begin on the damaged units, while Jackson is called to the control room of the facility...

Jackson steps into the room, still in his pilot suit. He gives the commander an even stare, holding his black helmet against the side of his hip. Seeing the man in person was a rare event. Usually, the commander spoke to him on the other side of a closed communication line when he is in G1...

The European Commander nods at the pilot as he enters, turning away from a series of consoles. "Its good to see you survived, what with G1's condition..." he said with a frown, looking out of the command center and into the holding bay, seeing G1 suspended inside. "But that's not why I called you in..." the Commander said, gesturing for Jackson to follow, heading out of the command center and into his private office...

Razortail stood still in the repair bay, allowing the repairs on him to proceed. His damage was not as bad as that of some of his fellow units, with some damage done to the scales on the back of his head and the armor on his shoulders, but he was aware that his masters wanted to repair the damage on him quickly so they could focus more of their resources on the more damaged units...

The commander made his way to his desk, taking a seat behind it. Gesturing to a seat near where Jackson was standing, the commander leaned back, though he continued to frown. "We have a...proposition of sorts. Something to occupy you while G1 is being repaired." he explained, obviously choosing his words carefully.
