Unannounced, three cats emerged near the entrance to the Stormclan camp, the scarred face of Alaitoc leading them. Although the Novaclan cats could've bypassed the cats guarding the clan, they felt it disrespectful to Stormclan. Instead, they would make their presence known and wait, seeking audience with the clan's leaders...

Vixentail, Poppytail and Emberspots, who were guarding the camp entrance, stepped forward to confront the newcomers. "Stop." The fox-colored she-cat's voice was cool but mild. "Who are you, and why have you come here?" The other two former ShadowClan cats were watchful, Emberspots opening her mouth to taste the air for other scents, Poppytail watching the unfamiliar cats for ripples of fur or flicks of the tail that might be signals to attack.

"And it's appreciated, Demontalon. I'll make sure to mention it with Snowstar" he growled. a low hiss came from a tree near the entrance, Nightclaw standing vigilantly as he eyed the three cats. "It's ok. They're Novaclan" he hissed to the cats surrounding them, as Wraith approached. "Apologies, Alaitoc. But with the current troubles i'm sure you can imagine precautions must be taken" he growled as he walked up to the Novaclan cats...

Alaitoc raised a brow, not expecting such hostility. "In such times, these things are certain." he growled plainly to Wraith, the two she-cats at his sides eying the Stormclan cats carefully. "I'm here to discuss our mutual problem."

Vixentail began to open her mouth to ask how they could be sure he was really who he said he was, when Nightclaw and Wraith's words registered with her. She snapped her mouth shut and nodded, stepping back to reassume her post. Poppytail too stepped back, and though Emberspots shot one last wary look at the NovaClan cats, she settled next to her denmates.

"Of course. i was actually planning to visit your camp later today on the matter myself" hissed Wraith as he stepped aside, tilting his head towards the camp. "Come. Let us discuss these things in privacy" he growled, before turning to lead Alaitoc towards the Leader's den...

The white tom sat in the Leader's den in solitude, mulling things over. The silence helped his thought process. Coldeyes was out leading a patrol, and while he was gone, Snowstar had instructed some warriors to go out on a hunt. Numbers were key now. Too much cats couldnt be out in the wild, for the camp would be vulnerable, yet too few cats out in the forest were easy targets, despite how well they could fight. They would be picked off and the clan wouldnt know about it for who knows how long. Its only until a cat is missed would anyone note its disappearance. It was either that or finding the body. A thin balance had to be established. He managed to get a glimpse of Riverstone going out in the group of cats, Mudswirl wasnt with her, suprisingly. When he couldnt be with them, his kin seemed to take comfort in each other. Hawkclaw with Lightstorm, Mudswirl with Riverstone. Maybe she was off helping another clan member, or was with Fogcloud. Fogcloud...he hadnt seen him in camp either. Snowstar's tail twitched for a second as he thought about what that could mean, but just as quickly as his worry came, it disappeared. He was probably off doing his duty also. Its not like they would leave the camp unannounced in such times, afterall.

And he was right, for the most part. Mudswirl was among a crowd of cats, grooming each other before heading back to their posts to guard. If she learned anything from her father, its definitely how to keep her pelt clean. Fogcloud was also a part of this, though he was grooming himself, focusing on his tail for the moment. Most of the cats here were strangers to him...he'd need to find some way of getting to know them a little better...

"You'd best assemble your thoughts, Snowstar. We have guests" growled Wraith as he stepped into the Leader's Den, almost knowing instinctively that Snowstar was lost in thought. it seemed a combination of the moons they'd spent working in tandem to operate the clan had had an impact. he knew how the white tom thought almost too well...

"Indeed we do. Impecable timing at that" Snowstar mewed, turning to face the den's entrance. The scent of the Novaclan cats had drifted into the den just seconds before he spoke, and with a grin he said "We finally have our meeting, Wraith", knowing how urgent speaking with the other clan was to the black bengal.

Alaitoc stepped into the leaders' den, nodding in greeting to Snowstar. The other two Novaclan cats sat just outside the den, giving the leaders privacy without leaving their Exarch completely. "Let's cut to the chase." Alaitoc growled bluntly, seating himself near the entrance to the den. "What have you learned of this new clan? Some crazy notions about what when on here have reached my ears, and I pray to the stars they are not true."

"Im afraid the term 'crazy notions' needs to be redefined" Snowstar mewed, tail wrapping around his paws as he did. A part of him wondered how, exactly, did word of the visit to the Darkforest leave boarders of Stormclan. "Something Ill have Coldeyes investigate when he returns" Snowstar thought, expression barely changing as he did

"You have your own methods, as do we.What we have to say can wait for now. I'm sure there's a reason you're here, Alaitoc. Feel free to say what you'd like to say. then we can discuss what we've discovered" he growled. Before discussing how this information reached Novaclan, he'd like to know what there was to be said by the allied clan...

Demontalon had rejoined Hawkclaw, who had succeeded in shooing Bramblekit and Cinderkit back into the nursery. The dark tabby and black she-cat were now deep in conversation about Demontalon's idea. "You're brilliant!" Hawkclaw had exclaimed when Demontalon first explained. Now they were discussing how best to employ each Clan's strengths. ThunderClan had fought best in thick, bramble-entwined undergrowth that would trap the other Clans. RiverClan used the water to their advantage. ShadowClan were best at using the shadows and the night to move without being detected. And WindClan had been the fastest Clan of them all, quick and clever in battle. And since Flamesight had been a WindClan warrior, there was no need to flounder about trying to imitate fighting skills seen in faded memories.

Alaitoc stared at the two for a moment before nodding. "We've located the clan's camp. We can continue watching them, after they've settled down..." the Exarch explained, a fresh wound visible on his flank from their last trip to the camp. Surely, after their discovery, the cats would be on high alert, making surveillance all but impossible...for now.

"Any idea of their numbers?" growled Wraith as he eyed the tom's injury for a moment, though not lingering on it...

Snowstar widened an eye slightly at the tom's injury, but out of respect didnt stare. He didnt say nothing for the moment, instead mulling over the notion of Novaclan spying on Stormclan. The cats were superb in stealth, it wasnt that big a stretch to think somewhere amongst the trees were pairs of eyes monitering and studying clan affairs within the camp, as they had been doing to the enemy before being found out. It would explain them having knowledge of what went on in the confines of the camp before their arrival. If that was the case, then what were their motives? Was Novaclan simply a temporary ally, and after all this is said and done, they would set their eyes on Stormclan, using what they gathered from espionage to asess the clan's strengths and weaknesses? Past experiance taught him never to assume anything, be it good or bad. He didnt assume these cats were a threat in disguise, nor did he assume they couldnt ever be. He'd need to watch them whenever they came into his sights, and perhaps when they werent...
He'd discuss the idea with Wraith when the meeting ended. He growled finally "Do you want our medicine cat to look at that wound before you leave?"

"Not an exact count, but surely there were enough in the camp to match typical clan size." Alaitoc growled, turning to Snowstar. "That is not necessary, thank you."
