Amnesia: The Dark Descent (Horror Game)

Postby Evil Eye » Fri Feb 11, 2011 4:17 am

Did anyone get it? Reviewers are saying it's quite possibly the most tense, scariest game there is. I'll be getting the demo tomorrow.
+this O.o

Edit: lol, "Decent" in title.

Haven't got the game myself, but from watching playthroughs, it is pretty intense. The first game in a while to make me almost jump out of my skin.

First, lackluster OP at best.

Second, I've watched a full playthrough of this game, Penumbra, and Penumbra Black Plague (Which are all from the same developers). Definitely really scary games. I'm not one for horror games, so I think I'll stick with LPs of the game rather then playing it myself.

Not much more I could say =s

Lol, thought you would definitely be a horror type person. But yes, the Penumbra games are scary as ****. I don't see how people say Dead Space was moreso.

Dead Space is too actiony. And ya, I get scared way too easily to enjoy such games :P

Yeah. It's also the fact that you can just blow away anything that moves. In Amnesia your powerless, all you can do is run and hide.
That's the reason such games are great, silly. Provide a good thrill. =p

I love watching horror games, but as much of a horror fan as I am, I'd never have the guts to play Amnesia or Penumbra myself. (Yes I can be a chickensh*t when it comes to playing horror games. XD)

I get startled too easily. I wouldn't enjoy this very much. Probably why I never played silent hill...
