the Messenger nodded respectfully, before taking a breath. "My lord, My message comes from Sir Alexander Lyall, Regent of Valenhad. He wished me to hand you this letter" he said, as calm as possible, though nervous. he gave the King a cylindrical black leather container, within which was a roll of parchment, the Valenhad Royal Insignia stamped on the red wax seal holding the end of the parchment to the rest, keeping it from unrolling unless opened. within, was written:
"To the honourable King Trajan of the Kingdom of Germania,
As a neighbouring faction with good relations up till this point, The Kingdom of Valenhad feels it their duty to warn you of an impending threat from the Kingdom of Draxon. Extensive research and investigation has proven to us that the faction's ruler, King Draco, is under the sway of a powerful Archdemon. The demon has already targeted and nearly destroyed a village a few miles from the Draxon borders, and intends to spread outwards. Reliable sources from within the Draxon royal palace itself revealed to us that the demon intends to use Draxon's Army to conquer the entirety of Aster, by means of gradual, systematic attack. Steps have been taken to prepare for war, including warning numerous neighbouring factions. But without knowledge of the full extent of the demon's abilities, such precautions are lacking. it is feared that it may not be enough without Germania's support. It is doubtless that the Draxon King may attempt to contact allies and other nations on good terms with them to attempt to gain sway over them easily, so it is highly advised you beware such attempts. We request that you respond with your decision as soon as is possible. Our messenger, Daniel, will remain with you until your course of action is decided and your response written, at which point he will deliver it to us.
We sincerely hope that it is not too late to prevent this catastrophe from worsening,
Your friend and ally, Lord Sir Alexander Lyall, Regent of the Kingdom of Valenhad"
Shiryaz eyed the drake for a long moment, before chirping again, turning his head to face the others, before looking back at the drake, eyes locking once more...
Septimus meanwhile, was still deeply asleep. he had no intention of leaving this early. While the others would likely be moving now, he had planned to sleep till noon before making an effort to leave...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
