Godzilla E-war: The Return

Postby TyrannoTitan » Wed Apr 27, 2011 7:17 pm

All profiles should be entered into this topic ONLY.

The setting is the world, in the era of the millennium Godzilla series (Not Final Wars). Technology is advanced enough to give some resistance against the hordes of mutant and alien creatures that have swept across the globe, but humanity is outnumbered and outgunned, and thus its future is uncertain.

Rules:
1: City destruction must make sense. You can't destroy a metropolis in a few posts.
2: No powerplaying. Killing characters is selectively allowed. We'll be watching this carefully.
3: Godzilla is off limits. Other Toho kaiju are allowed, but as far as the E-war knows, what they did in the movies did not happen here.
4: Telepaths and matrix fighters for human characters are not allowed. Keep that ******** in Final Wars, thanks.

An unknown object sailed through space at high speed, making no effort to hide its trajectory: a beeline right for Earth. The UFO seemed to speed up as it approached the planet, rapidly closing in...

Meanwhile, in Tokyo, a small laboratory had suddenly become a crime scene in the early morning of the day, police cars surrounding the building, which looked like it had been ransacked, yet there was no sign of anything having been stolen. Instead, the only things that seemed wrong inside the amateur lab were the presence of a large cage (which had been torn open by whatever had been inside) and the bodies of the scientists, several of which were torn to pieces, and others simply stripped to the bone, having been devoured completely...

Bladed limbs clashed as a large tiger-striped mantis creature attacked another saurian creature, its scythe-like limbs cutting into the mutant's arms as it defended itself, which released a spew of flames at the giant insect, causing it to screech angrily in pain. Around them was the desolate remains of a city in Japan, destroyed by the surge of monsters long ago. Situated on one of the last remaining structures was a large mechanical saurian, which watched the two with its eyeless face. While most of the machine was unmoving, the radar-dish like device moved rapidly, giving the interior a detailed picture of the scene in various spectrums. Inside, in the pilot's compartment, Talon watched the fight while drinking from an oversized container filled with soda, a perfect visual display in front of him. "THE LEFT YOU *******, THE LEFT!" he yelled suddenly, slamming his fist on the arm of the chair he was currently sitting in, as the display showed the mantis' arm being removed quite violently from its body. Sighing, Talon continued watching, drinking loudly as the two mutated behemoths fought below him...

A giant astroid, still on it's own course towards Earth, broke through the atmosphere of the planet and flew down towards the surface at a rapidly growing speed. Soon enough, just some miles off the coast of Japan, the meteorite crashed into the water, causing a massive explosion to happen, sending water and chunks of debris in every direction. After moments of seemingly nothing going on near the crash-site after the chunks of the meteor and water fell down into the ocean, a serpentine-like shape formed, complete with a set of horns and wings, heading directly towards land from under the water. On it's back and under-side, a mass of creatures swarmed around the giant monster, some disengaging from it to swarm those not taken by their infectious cause yet in the sea...

Drifting through the vacuum, a large husk floats almost gracefully as it rides in the orbit of the Jovian giant, Jupiter. It was compact and inactive, but was not not just another space rock caught by the planet's powerful gravity. Its form was unnatural and its color vibrant in the bright rays of Sol's sun. The yellow and black carapace of the creature was bathed in the white light of the burning ball of gas so far away. Its transparent wings were spread, giving off a soft white glow as they took in the rays of life and converted them into energy, bright blue streams of electricity running down the wings and into the cyborg's body, replenishing itself. The planet below was a mass of swirling clouds of gasses, violent storms wreaking havoc across it, but miles away from the outer fringes of its atmosphere, the cyborg seemed so tranquil, at peace. It was unmoving, its legs were folded and tucked into its underside. Its arms were crossed. Its head resting in between the two menacing drills. Its visor eye was dark. While it may seem like it, the cyborg was not slumbering. It was always present of the shifts of its environment. Not too long ago it had picked up on the residual energy left by a space monster, as well as the perpetual energy created by the volatile planet it orbited. In this state, the space wasp saw nothing. Nothing but blackness until a sudden flash cast it all away, the silence within its mind broken by crackling static and a myriad of electronic chatter. The images were fuzzy and indiscernible. Corrupted. The logs were damaged during the event that seemed so distant in time as it was in space. The conclusion came after what seemed like hours of scouring the recesses of his mind. Curse the day when the beast was able to archive his memories, encrypting them within his electronic brain. He would observe and store for all time, for he would be able to live forever with the changes done to him. "Curse the day", the words echoed in the creature's head, spoken in a strange alien language. Intelligence was suddenly thrust upon him, knowledge and the intricate enigma that was thought. Despite understanding that it was a part of him now, he still wasn't used to it. "Curse the day" He thought again. Shortly after, several notices made themselves known. Lines of alien symbols danced about the cyborg's vision, warning him of an imminent collision and shift in gravitational field. The cyborg wasp's visor lit up, a red sash around his head. He saw what he was being warned about looming ever closer. He scanned the surface of the celestial body, the reticle dancing across it. The results were that the body was mostly rocky, though traces of water were present and it was devoid of an atmosphere. Its gravitational pull was substantially weak when compared to that of Jupiter. Ganymede, the largest moon in the solar system had caught the wasp as it passed him, pulling him towards its rocky dark and light gray surface. Spinnerax's wings lowered, folding over each other and pasting to his back and sides while he unfurled his legs and uncrossed his arms. His drills glowed dimly as he pointed his arms to the surface, twin golden beams of light being fired from the spinning weapons. The vector beams worked to slow the wasp's descent to the moon, though they were feeble when compared to their maximum output...

As Talon continued to watch, two very large energy flares were picked up by the radom: One that had landed in the ocean off the coast of Japan, on the other side of where he was situated, and another was hurtling toward their location at high speeds. "Looks like we got another one." he said, his voice somewhat cheerful, though his expression was that of disappointment. Power began to flood through the Exterminator, though it did not move, only preparing for the inevitable...

The object slammed into the earth, several hundred meters away from the battling mutants, casting a large plume of dust into the sky and sending a concussive shockwave across the shattered cityscape. In its wake was a large crater, inside of which was an equally massive meteorite, crackling with visible bolts of yellow electricity. After a few moments, the gargantuan rock exploded in a blast of bright yellow light, temporarily blinding anything that looked directly at it, causing noticeable electronic interference as well. Two giant, golden wings stretched from the husk of a meteor, followed by the rest of the alien monster's shimmering, scaly body, its three serpentine heads rising up into the air, eyes as red as burning coals staring out over the terran landscape. The massive dragon reared up and shrieked to the skies, each fanged mouth producing a different trilling cry, like that of a chaotic chorus of bells. Its wings spread wide, absorbing the sun's rays to energize the space being, as it lifted gently into the sky, landing with a dull thump at the edge of the crater.

King Ghidorah had arrived.

King Ghidorah stared at the mutant monsters, snarling. Static crackled across the dragon's golden body, but also tickled the skin of the monsters, and even Talon to a lesser extent, safe as he was inside his mech. The space monster had managed to regain some of his energy, lost during his space flight here, en route to the planet's surface, but now that he was outside of his protective shell, he could harness the full power of the sun's energy through his wings. Soon, he would be at full power, and ready to vaporize these crude beasts...

Before the object collided, REX's foot-mounted spikes drown themselves into the building, the resulting shockwave causing the building to groan loudly, but the machine remained undisturbed. The mantis-like mutant, light weight as it was, was hurled onto its back from the shockwave, while the saurian creature stumbled back, eventually coming to a halt. The saurian mutant roared at the space monster, viewing it as just another opponent, spewing white-hot flames at the slightly larger hydra, while the mantis fought to right itself. Meanwhile, the Exterminator's rail gun was raised, targeting cross hairs appearing on the view in front of Talon, who guided them toward the image of the space dragon...

King Ghidorah barely flinched at the stream of flames that washed against his armored scales, sending out another trilling cry. As he did so, his three mouths began to crackle, releasing streams of electricity a split-second later. The Gravity Beams tore across the cityscape, one hitting the saurian right in its scaly chest. A second beam slammed into the prone mantis, sending it sliding along the ground, throwing up rubble in its wake. The third beam hit the building REX was standing on, slicing through the human materials like they were tissue paper, the building beginning to topple forward, taking the mech with it...

Prongs retracting, the mech disappeared in the resulting cloud of debris, jets carrying it backward into the somewhat intact part of the city, which Talon knew very well. The mantis shrieked, trying to stop itself with its intact limbs, while the Saurian creature was unable to move, its sharp teeth clenched as it tried to withstand the pain...

Turning the third Gravity Beam away from REX, King Ghidorah aimed it at the mantis, the two combined beams plucking it from the ground. Keeping the saurian stunned, the space dragon flung the helpless insect mutant at its saurian partner, sending both crashing to the ground. Only then did King Ghidorah stop firing the Gravity Beams, screeching tauntingly at the two downed monsters...

The shape continued on towards the coast of Japan, the infectious creatures on it clinging on tightly as it sped through the water. The beast let out something similar to a roar, and soon, a few more of the swarm released from the monster and followed their bretheren going into the deep. As long as there was plenty to feast upon, the Serag wouldn't leave their 'mother', as they called 'Hunter'...

The radom was able to pierce the veil of dust and a few half-destroyed buildings, keeping its cross hairs on the space dragon, while the rail gun began to collect energy. The mantis shrieked again, but this time the sound was extremely sound, shattering the very few windows that were left in the area, as well as dazing the downed saurian mutant, giving the insect time to get onto its many legs...

The glowing from the drills faded away as did the golden spirals as Spinnerax touched down onto Ganymede, the monsterous wasp adapting to the pull of gravity after being weightless for so long. His spiked legs bore into the rocky ground, bits of rock and dust floating off several feet. Spinnerax looked around the desolate surface, spotting the rays of the sun peaking up over the horizon of the small rocky body. He started to walk towards it, each step he took causing small tremors and causing boulder sized chunks of the surface to suddenly float off. In the distance, the wasp's reticle rested upon a small building, made of a silver material that shimmered in the light of the distant sun. It had rounded corners and seemed to be built from over lapping metal sheets, as if at one point the construct was folded up. Not too far from it was a flag, which was now waving not because of wind, but because of the quakes of the wasp's approach. "How...interesting" The wasp thought as he examined the build of the simple structure, the fact it was here at all intriguing him. Life had found its way to this far off world...

King Ghidorah shook his heads, annoyed by the shriek, and proceeded to bombard the mantis with more Gravity Beams, intent on vaporizing the little mutant before it became more than just a pest...

Swimming away from the island of Madagascar, the saurian creature began to swim in the direction of europe. Sauron had only recently awoken from his long slumber and though he had been able to quickly satisfy his thirst by finding a lake on the island he had recently left, his hunger was intense and he was determined to find himself a meal, no matter where he had to go to find one...

OOC: My previous post should be used as an example as to why proofreading is important.

As the mantis shrieked in pain, the saurian creature was already on its feet, another stream of flames splashing over the space monster, this time aimed at its heads...

King Ghidorah hissed in frustration as the flames washed over his heads, momentarily interrupting the Gravity Beams. In response, the dragon's wings began to crackle with electricity, which suddenly arced into the saurian beast, hurting and stunning it while King Ghidorah mercilessly battered the mantis again, trying to cook the insect inside its own carapace with his Gravity Beams...

After several moments of deliberation, Spinnerax made up his mind. He would set out to find the nursery of life that was home to the beings who left evidence of their pressence on the large moon. The small building was forever proof of their existence. There was always the possibility that life in this system was extinguished by a catastrophe, such as violent eruptions from a world's volcanoes to an impact from deep space. This frozen world seemed to have had its share of such impacts, crators littered the lunar landscape. Still, the prospect that life still existed somewhere was enough to turn the wasp's sights to the distant worlds nearer to the star. Life could not be supported this far from the precious life giver, save for the likes of himself. With that, the wasp lowered himself slightly before kicking off of the rocky surface, a plume of dust and rock trailing after him as he lifted up from the surface of Ganymede. His legs folded up and his arms swung about drills pointed behind him. His augmented limbs locked in place, and shortly after two bright flashes casted off the shadows. The cybernetic wasp shot away from Ganymede in an instant, hurdling towards the inner solar system, trailed by spirals of golden light
