Hraesvelgr hissed as they moved onwards, still sniffing the air and looking around.

Kiara smirks and says, "yeah, I would," but thinks, "Well, THEY would be the dead ones."

Ikargu soon lands nearby Saurgu after the flight to the lake, and lowers himself so Sarah can safely get off of him.

Shezz soon looks back at the map and keeps his eyes locked onto it as they move onwards, slowly down a bit to get to Kubba's side, to show him how far away the village was...

Khorne soon looks up, seeing a lizard esque shape watching them from higher up in the mountains.

"Hmmm..... keep an eye on that one. He looks dangerous."

Laura says to Kiara, "Yeah. So, how'd Immanis find you? Most of us usually are recruited because we're supposed to be executed for mischief, but Immanis or Drakun II/ Draco saw potential in us."

Sarah slides off Ikargu's back, waiting for him to tell her what to do...

Kubba looks at the map and nods.

"Ah, yes. Very close, we are getting now. Hour or less it appears we must go on."

"Well Sarah," Ikargu started, "we'll continue with your practice from where you left off, so that way you'll be better at the basics of swimming." The ice dragon soon dives into the water, his head poking out of the surface a bit away from where he originally was at.

"You really wouldn't like to know," Kiara responded to Laura, cracking her knuckles.

Shezz nodded and went to the front of the group after that, still monitoring the map.

Hraesvelgr nods and keeps her eyes on the lizard-like creature, hissing once while moving on...

"Too much of anything is unpleasant, Desrium. Hence why it's stated as 'too' much" rumbled the Dragon as he walked onwards, calmed somewhat by the rain. though he could fly in this weather, it would drain him, as he would be forced to magically keep the rain off his wings in order to maintain lift. it was a waste of energy that could be better spent elsewhere...

"Like the rain in those places where it doesn't stop falling?" Desrium inquired, shifting his attention from the rolling dark clouds to Septimus, water streaming down his armored body, especially around the sides of his mouth.

'is there anywhere we can get water before we reach this village?' Arsenic asked, a slight frown crossing his expression.

"Well, the spring the village probably draws from seems to emerge from the mountain, so we could draw it from it's source. problem is, the map says nothing of how rocky the terrain around the spring is, so for all we know it could be inaccessible" said Andruil with a sigh, running a hand through his hair and pressing his temples in frustration. How had he not seen it?....then again, one way or another they were going to face this issue. this village was the meeting point of both paths he had identified when they had started their journey. Perhaps that's why he didn't take note of it...

"Well, that's a difficult example. in some places, there is no harm in constant rain. in others, it's a disaster" growled Septimus as he noted the trees were starting to become more closely packed, as he walked under the shade of one, noting that he'd soon be well within the treeline. "A better example would be windy weather. While some wind is good because it helps birds and other airborne creatures fly more easily, and helps spread the seeds and pollen of plants to new places, it is bad if there's too much of it, because those same flying animals risk being blown roughly through the air and falling to their deaths, or into trees, or cliffs, and tires them quickly" explained the Dragon, choosing the example as a result of a breeze that had blown the rain under the shade of the tree, hitting him despite being in the shade of a tree in passing...

"I could see how that could be problem" Desrium said as he nodded, his voice barely audible over a sudden wind gust that stirred up the leaves overhead. Rain sprinkled down on the two and the flap of the satchel fluttered about. It was then he realized that the rain could seep into Septimus' bag. He wasn't sure how the inside would react to the water...would it soak up the moisture like the soil he went through the night prior...and turn into mud? "That would be unfortunate" He thought as he put the spoon back in his mouth and hoisted himself up, swinging his body over the side of the satchel and hanging there still, dangling just a few feet from the ground. He reached forward, grabbing the satchel's cover with one hand and pulling it over it's contents, the drops of rain being blown underneath the cover of trees splashing against the barrier. He then let go, letting himself drop to the ground with a splash as he landed in a puddle. Satisfied with the knowledge Septimus' items were safe from the storm, he started to walk beside the silver dragon. He pulled the spoon from his mouth, taking note of Septimus' reaction to it last time, the handle gripped in a hand that hung by his side, gradually being rinsed off by the heavy rain

Dire Howl fought on, killing as many as he could. When finally the giant wolf heard the answering howls of his Clan. The wildlings had tired Dire Howl and inflicted some wounds to the mighty canid. But the sounds of many wolves seemed to make them lose their nerve. There thoughts of escape however, have sadly came to late the wolves have already formed a circle around the camp and are now closing in. Dire Howl howls with victory as his kin rip the life from the foes before him...

"No... I didn't kill my father... I swear, it wasn't me... IT WASN'T ME!!!" Dione cried out, struggling to free herself from the grip of the two guards. she had completely lost it... not only was her father dead, but now, she had been framed by someone else for his death...

She continued to struggle and cry... until Trajan's hand grabbed her by the lower jaw, and shook her head to face his narrowed and determined eyes. "There is no other evidence to point to anyone else but you, Dione. You had the motive, you had the means, you had the time... it all points to YOU!" Trajan snapped as he let go of Dione's jaw. The resolve and anger in his voice was more than enough to cause Dione to stop crying, though she still trembled in fear. With that, Trajan looked to the two guards. "Untie her, and take her to the collusium! Have the messangers go out all across Germania to announce that the true mastermind behind the murder of Jeetis will be put to death in 1 week... Understand?" Trajan ordered. The two guards nodded, before they untied Dione, grabbed her hands, then escourted her out of the room. Once the door had shut, Trajan starred at the door. Until he too collapsed into a complete heap, his face buried in his hands at the table...

It was the hardest choice he had ever made in his life...

Meanwhile, the Gandiors were still on the rooftops, watching the humans pass by below. The large bat-creatures were still intrigued by what was going on, especially when they saw numerous men mounted on horses riding around, announcing something...

Back in the swamp, Thems was already nearing the city of Tristan once again. The 8-headed Orochi had been faring for herself rather well, and had avoided catching the attention of any Akantierus that might have been roaming around... the last thing she had needed would have been a run in with death itself...

Once Septimus was safely under the shade of the trees, he slowed his pace back to a more reasonable one, looking down at Desrium as he growled "Desrium....What do you know of Zuppoland?". his eyes shimmered with a mildly excited, almost arcane glow...

Uriel was once again in the air, soaring gracefully up stream, watching with wide, curious eyes as Zeke swam through the water below, only slightly behind the dragon above. Various creatures seemed to avoid the serpent as it moved, despite its small size, clearly knowing what the creature's kind was capable of...

Desrium looked over to Septimus, the light blue glow of the dragon's eyes and runes clearly visible in the gloom of the storm and the shadows of the trees. "How peculiar. Where did such a question come from?" The armored being wondered. It was good fortune that he came across the volume at Daaven. "Very little. I managed to find a book about the place...though it was quite worn and missing a lot of information" Desrium replied. The place was ancient and its location lost to time... he knew that quite well...and he suspected Septimus had more to tell him...

"Ah" responded Septimus, the faintest trace of disappointment in his reaction. Desrium was unlike anything he had ever seen on Aster, in person or through the many books he had seen. however, in one of his books, namely Zuppoland: Legends, Lore, Facts & History, he had seen a depiction that seemed to resemble Desrium to a degree. the illustration was however, vague, leaving the Dragon wondering about the nature of it. "I have a book on that subject. I was, incidentally, reading it that night we met. The reason I mention it is because I saw an illustration in it resembling you to a degree. Whether it truly is you, or something like you, or whether it is a style of Zuppolandian armour, or something else entirely, is something that escapes me. The idea occured to me that we could investigate. there are rough mentions about the location of Zuppoland. it is apparently an island off Aster's South Eastern coastline. Perhaps the key to your past lies there..." growled the Dragon, cocking his head as he suggested the possibility...

"An interesting prospect. Though I must ask, how long ago was it when your book was published?" Desrium replied, his form becoming a dark silhouette as lightning lit up the sky, followed by a blast of thunder. Only his red eyes were visible as the shadows gripped him for those mere seconds. While he liked the idea, after all, he was thinking of heading to the strange place where he might fit in; the implications of the dragon's words confused him greatly. If the illustration was of him, then that meant he had been to Zuppoland at one time...he had been to an ancient civilization said to have been lost to the ages...

"If only Aviva were with us," Vix murmured. "We could ask her to scout ahead..." 'Nothing to be done about that now,' Arsenic said, closing his hazel eyes for a moment in thought. 'I suppose if all else fails, the animals of the area should be able to show us where there's water that's safe to drink...' he said slowly. 'It's just a matter of pulling the information from their minds...a lot of the time their thoughts are whipped into a frenzy of instincts and needs. I can do it, but it takes time, and patience.' He opened his eyes again and looked at his companions. 'The problem is it can be difficult to tell if the water source is big enough to take what we need from it.'

"To my best estimates, roughly 400 years ago. this is a republished version of the original. probably because the originals were disintegrating from age" responded Septimus, remembering the print date on the back of the book. memories of the days he first learned written language flooded back into his mind. he had pulled knowledge of the language from the minds of several of the first people he met, leaving him with a rather broken vocabulary both in speaking and writing the language. but that changed as time passed, eventually reaching his current state after entering a library for the first time. It was then that Septimus gained a love for books. the irony of it all was that with that memory, the realisation struck him that he and Desrium weren't that far apart. Desrium was like he was when he first left his home...

"Sifting through the needs and instincts must be an....interesting....experience" said Andruil as he thought about the concept for a few minutes. what would it have been like to look through emotions and feelings? was it like reading a book? or did the one looking through it feel it as the creature did? that WOULD explain the apparent difficulty. the thought made Andruil smirk in amusement. the idea of Arsenic being washed up in the instincts and feelings of an animal drew some rather amusing mental images...

Arsenic smirked. 'Oh, you have no idea,' he said, letting out a chuckle. 'A word of advice if you learn telepathy - stay away from the minds of rabbits. Especially in spring.' His smirk broadened. 'I fear it would be too much for any man to handle.'

At the mention of the word "years", Desrium's eyes began to glow bright, so much so that as he moved, wispy crimson trails lingered for split seconds behind him. He knew what the word meant, but he had no practical way to apply it. His largest understanding of time was day and night... he couldn't even imagine one year, much less four centuries. All he knew was that Zuppoland was hidden behind a screen of mysteries spawned from the passage of time. How could he have been there so long ago and end up exhausted on the Asterian shore in the distant future, unable to recall anything but his name? "How peculiar" He thought, his silence a contrast to the loud pattering of the rain.

"Considering you can't even handle my mind, I'm not too surprised" commented Andruil with a chuckle as he considered the implications of what Arsenic had said...

"If you are interested to find out, We could go and look for it after I've resupplied for the slugs" growled the Dragon as he eyed Desrium, a light smile gracing his reptilian features. in addition to helping Desrium with his past, it would be a learning experience. the Zuppolandish were almost as illusive as the Hueilin. it would be interesting to see how they had evaded the eyes of explorers for all these centuries...
