Laura nods and follows closely behind Kiara...

Kiara opens the door and slowly begins to head outside, looking around. She walked seemingly cautiously, heading for an alleyway, but made sure Laura was behind her...

Laura says, "Don't worry, I'm right behind you." The royal guard holds her blade tight...

It was as an exposed spot in the canopy passed overhead that Septimus felt it. there was a strange feel about the rain. an aura of power that seemed unnatural. the Dragon's eyes narrowed, considering the implications. a weather manipulator of a calibre capable of influencing weather so widely......he knew of only one. "Impossible" growled the Dragon, thinking aloud. how could Arashi be so far from the Hueilin's home in the mountains? Septimus knew his father was powerful. but there was no way he was powerful enough for his storm to reach this far from the Kirrahara mountains. was it possible someone else had such a powerful command of storms? was Arashi actually worried Septimus could be successful, and was chasing him to ensure that didn't happen? was he reaching out to see what surrounded their home? the Dragon shrugged off the thoughts. the odds of it being Arashi were slim, at best. after doing so much to consolidate his hold on his position as leader, there's no way he'd leave his beloved home. there had to be another explanation...

the disciple watched carefully to see what the commoners purchased regularly, to learn more about the staples of Germanian life. he took note of a couple of antique merchants nearby, but paid them no mind for now. his research was more important than shopping. he could browse there later...

"It is more than possible, friend" Desrium said, glancing over to his side to look at Septimus. "Even you can be wet by the rain" He went on to say before staring forward again once more, the distress the dragon felt going unnoticed by the armored being.

"You don't feel it?" growled the Dragon as he eyed the armoured entity curiously...

"I cannot exactly feel...friend" Desrium replied, holding his hand out with his metal palm facing the gray sky. Raindrops ran off of it, but he never felt them land. The only thing he did feel was the chill within his metal shell...

"Ok, good," the demoness thought, before whispering to Laura as she entered the alleyway, "we should stay here until the sun goes down and think of a way to get out of here. We'll have a far better chance of escaping then, anyways..."

"There's a kind of.....power, in this rain. it's not natural" rumbled the Dragon simply as he walked...

" MAKE WAY! MAKE WAY!" A loud voice boomed through the marketplace. instantly, aeveryone moved off to the sides as the two burly guards moved through the city. Behind them was the sobbing, dusty, and broken form of Dione, being dragged on the ground by the ropes in their hands. The people in th emarketplace simply watched, they knowing what th eprice would be if they dared go against the Emperor's orders...

All, except Lamia.

"LET HER GO!" Lamia screamed as she dashed from her stall to Dione's side. The daughter of the deceased pope looked up weakly, her eyes gazing upon her childhood friend. A small smile formed on her face, even though tears streamed down her face. For a brief moment, the two friends shared a moment of peace, a moment of tranquility... one that was short-lived, for one of the guards yanked on Dione's rope, bringing the girl back in line. The other guard grabbed Lamia by the neck before spitting at her face.

"If you know what is best for you, girl, then you'd stay out of our way. Get near her again, and you'll be treated as a traitor of Germania, and suffer a fate worse than death itself." The guard rumbled as he hurled Lamia onto her back. Dione, terrified by what was going on, tried to struggle out, but she was unable to as the guard moved off toward the colusseum. Lamia struggled back onto her feet, her eyes burning with anger. She cletched her fists as the guard smirked, before he began to head back. For a brief second, he could have sworn he had seen what looked like flames around her fists, but he blinked one, and they were gone. The guard went off to rejoin his pal on their way to the colessium.

"Damnit... DAMNIT DAMNIT DAMNIT!!! WHY DIDN'T I HELP HER OUT?!" Lamia collapsed onto the ground when she got back to her stall. Now tears were in her eyes as well. She could have freed Dione, and murdered those guards to free her, but she hadn't... Why?! As she pondered this, the marketplace resumed all activity, with people nervously going from stall to stall to buy what they wanted. As Lamia cried, the shrewd businessman slowly approached her...

"Who put the...power...in the rain?" Was the armored being's response, turning his gaze to the stormy sky, flashes of light going off amidst large, dark clouds. The thunder that followed cracked almost directly overhead, the booming sound rippling across the landscape...

The disciple watched silently, intrigued. he added a mental note to his information on Germania. Dictatorship ruled through fear. civilians oppressed by guards. the man eyed Lamia curiously, deciding to approach her. to learn more...

"I.....I don't know" growled Septimus. no. that wasn't right. he did know.....he didn't want to know, but in some strange, unnerving way, he did know...

"Is it a bad thing, friend?" Desrium asked afterwards, still peering up at the angry skies above, unaware of the power needed to manipulate the weather. The dragon spoke of something he clearly didn't understand, despite his aloof tone and he was trying to grasp some understanding of the matter.

Nitsunobue began to burrow to the north, knowing the colder temperatures will stop his bleeding for a little while, but he will inevitably need to rest in order to regain both his strength and his health...

"Depends on the intentions of the one doing it. something with that much power would likely be a serious threat to everyone if it had malevolent motives" responded Septimus lowly, thinking through the possibilities, trying to find any alternate explanation to the ones involving his father...

Just moments after Septimus spoke, a bright white and blue arc of lightning shot down from the heavens, striking the Earth in the far distance beyond large rolling hills. Crackling thunder rumbled through the clouds before leaving the rhythmic pattering of rain once again. Desrium fell silent at that, slipping into deep thought himself. Why would anyone with so much power waste it on making storms? Lightning and thunder were spectacles in their own right, but this place had more than enough rain in a short time frame. Why didn't they send this downpour to the places that hardly-if not never- see rain?

"Are you alright?" The shrewd businessman asked Lamia as he went beside her. The young woman looked up, tears dripping down her face.

"I'm fine..." Lamia murmured as she looked back down at the ground. "I just... wish I could help out Dione... she's a dear friend of mine from years back..." At this, she once again burst into tears, her head covered by her arms. The businessman looked at her with pty and remorse. He wished he could help her, if only because he didn't wish to see a fellow seller in such pain. Besides, h knew how she felt. Loosing a friend to the government was something he had felt before... and it stung him deep to the core.

Arsenic let out a half-choked-off laugh at that, trying to control his reaction. 'more like your cousin spent too much time around them my friend. Besides, male elves in the village are always being mistaken for women by outsiders. Better to be able to laugh at yourself in tense situations, I find.' he chickled again, twirling an adata between the fingers of his hand so fast the sliver of metal was barely visible.

Zazikel, satisfied that the thorns in his side from before were being kept track of, rested easy. Tonight, he would be powerful enough to travel again. And he knew exactly where he was going to go...

A blur of motion bounded through the forest at shocking speed. Sammael had a magical "note" of sorts in his mind, given when he was summoned, that allowed him to track his proper targets over nearly any distance. It wouldn't take very long to find them now...

The Horned tyrant was not sure where exactly he was in the great forest at the moment, but he was tired. he decided to rest where he was for a while, feeling his skinburning from the fire blast removing some of his skin on his back...
