The robed being disappears into the great forest, an ominous cackling being emitted from it as peircing red eyes glare into the wilds, searching for the being Burzum asked to find....

Soon, a mound of earth is visible from within the forest, as a large brown creature began to pull itself free from the ground...

Draco walks down the streets of Freyr-Lunge, paying no heed to anyone else, as he goes towards his destination: the temple...

"A human figure was useless in the face of the forces involved in the conflict that led to my defeat, so of course, I did not bother to attempt it. it would simply have accelerated the end of the battle" responded Gilgamesh calmly, unphased by the kitsune's reaction. He would not hesitate to crush it if given the chance, though for now, Arashi kept the Archdemon under control. were it not for him, Gilgamesh would likely have consumed the other demon without a second thought...

Akuro backed up once more. He knew that the most powerful demons were those that were able to take on human form, and judging from what Gilgamesh had said, it was highly probable that he was able to. This gutted Akuro's original plan completely. He was no match for both this dragon and the demon he had under his control. He would back down and live for another day. "I see." Akuro growled, before continuing, "It appears as if I have mistaken you for a far weaker member of your kind, dragon. Your power is something truly remarkable, that I acknowledge..." Akuro hissed as he comtinued to back up. Now, the static in the air began to die down, and the fur on the wolf-like demon's back flattened.... This was not a fight he wished to engage in. If it were the dragon that Mara had drawn, he would have fought it, but this dragon... this was suicide, especially since it had such a powerful demon under it's control...

"It is so strange, the events Ive come across since I left the sea" Desrium began to say, the familiar feeling of confusion making itself known within his mind. "The places Ive come across, the things Ive seen...I know that I make many uncomfortable with my presence, but I am not a monster, Septimus. Ive met a few who have seen that, and showed me kindness. You are one of them. Those unicorns, though rare as they are, did not flee like other animals when they saw me. They did not threaten me upon my appearance." The armored being looked off of Septimus' side, watching as the dark clouds lightened up in shade and slowly parted, revealing the world they hid. "How could I, a being with little recollection of his past, run into a kind dragon in the woods and by the next day, lay my eyes upon one of Aster's rarities? How did I meet the two kind souls that helped me get to this point now? Too many questions. I do not like to think about them, but I find myself compelled to do so." He finished, looking back to the skies above...

"I spoke with someone about what happened. I also saw the damage the archdemon did. The inn is half destroyed and there were many dead, more wounded." the green eyes darkened for a moment, mourning the losses. "Tell me, how exactly did Arsenic refusing a target lead to all of this?" Arsenic snorted, replying with no small amount of disdain, 'the person was a spoiled human prince who wanted nothing less than to seize undeserved power from his father. He tried to convince me with lies; when I searched his mind I not only found the truth but discovered he was an elf-hater. He became angry when I refused to kill an innocent man.' "but how did he become allied with an archdemon of all creatures?" Aviva asked, gaze narrowing in confusion.

Nitsunobue finishes digging free from the earth, far enough away from the elves and dragons to avoid being seen. He presses himself low to the ground, listening intently to them. He was dustrbed by what he heard.

"A human prince, seeking power? not too preposterous, even in my days. But an Archdemon? Those should have been long gone from Aster by this point." Suddenly, Nitsunobue remembers what he had heard earlier from that hideous dragon he fought. "He said he was an Archdemon! Can it be that?..." Nitsunobue thought to himself.

"OF COURSE!" He bellows aloud, audible to those nearby, albeit it sounding more akin to a roar than anything.

Kiara simply nodded and continued onwards, the shade of the trees making it hard for her and Laura to actually see the trail. She grabbed her crossbow and loaded it with a single arrow, looking around cautiously while proceeding on...

The Archdemon exploded in a cloud of smoke, seeming to collapse, returning to the Dragon's arm, swirling around the arm as the runes decorating it shimmered red for a moment, the wisps disappearing as the runes reverted to their bright blue-white glow. "And who said you were allowed to leave?" rumbled the Dragon with a malevolent smirk. "Do you think I would let you simply walk away, after attempting to attack me in hopes of possessing me?" growled Arashi as he took a step forward. "I....think.....not" snarled the Stormweaver finally as the shimmering white mane along the Dragon's back crackled, Arashi walking forward towards the kitsune steadily...

Andruil shook his head. "I can't really say. Could be the Demon sought him out. I'm no expert, but if my memory serves me correctly, Demons can come to control people more easily if the people in question agree willingly. Hence the phrase 'Deal with the Devil'. Chances are in hopes of gaining his father's post, he tried several things, the Demon pointing him to the Assassins' Guild after sealing a deal with him. Of course, this is all just speculation" suggested the man with a shrug, turning suddenly towards the source of the roar, as a scratchy 'snarl' came from the Griffin Hawk perched in a tree above, Shiryaz staring right at the source of the sound...

"I suppose you were simply fated to walk this path" growled Septimus thoughtfully, the ground growing closer by the second, the wings being pulled in slightly, the fingers remaining splayed, in addition to the secondary wing-like fins just behind the wings, stabilising him as he came in for a landing...

"You once said we were fate's reflection in each other. Did you have to deal with such things?" Desrium asked as he turned his gaze back to Aster, feeling and hearing the rush of the wind as Septimus left his place in the air

Nitsunobue arches his back, realizing his mistake. The horned tyrant makes a couple more low grumbles, as the snarl from high above peirces his eardrums. Should he reveal himself, seeing his presence was already known? Or should he pretend nothing happened? it was a tough choice....

Laura draws her sword, feeling uncomfortable as well...

Deciding that this situation was not in his favor, Akuro turned tail and bolted. Normally, he wasn't one to run from a fight, but if it were an opponent that he knewhe couldn;t win against, then he'd flee... and this dragon definitely fit that category. He fled into the forest, moving as fast as he could, his 7 tails flowing behind him. If he couldn't run away, then he atleast could use his other method, though that would leave him drained of energy...

The robed being moved with frightening speed deceptive to his size, sprinting almost tirelessly. He knew he must find his target soon, or run the risk of being eaten... or possibly attacked by the natives from around here.

Lord Burzum was very specific with his goals: seek out a kitsune, whom had made himself at home in the nearby forest. Seeing that the chief had not wandered out into the wilds in any recent time frame, he knew little in how difficult it would be to track down a kitsune, or any other kind of demon, for that matter....

As the sun began to creep below the horizon, darkness descended on most of Aster, especially those near the mountains, which blocked the departing sun even sooner. In this dusk, the horrors of the dark began to emerge from their underground dwellings, eager for the sustenance they could not acquire in the depths of the earth. The scent of prey was a call too tempting to resist, drawing the creatures toward the city of Tristan...

The army of the Confederacy slowly marched on through the trees towards Draxon. This was around the best time to attack, considering most would least expect it and that stealth would be on the side of the offensive army.

Kiara looked around a bit, seeing light in the distance. "We're almost there!" the assassin said excitedly in the form of a whisper...

Seeing it was getting dark, Draco turns back and heads towards the Palace of the Draks. Oh well. He could always see what was going on in the morning....

Archers lined the walls of Freyr-Lunge, as draco had commanded, torches also on the walls as to allow them to see and light their arrows aflame...

"Good," Laura says nervously. "I don't want to spend more time out here than I have to."

The robed being seems unphased by the darkness, simply pulling out a torch and lighting it on fire with seemingly no effort on his part. He had a mission to do, and he would see it carried out....

In the capital city, people began to head into their homes, while armed guards began their routine patrol of the city with arrows and swords. infront of one ordinary house, Lamia looked out, watching the sun set. It was beautiful, but she knew that with the sun going down, came the dangers of the night. All too often, people went missing when they walked around the city at night, often due to Zeuglodons and Gandiors finding their way into the city. There had, at one time, even been an Akantierus that had managed to make it's way to the Castle gates. Lamia smirked, remembering how much effort it took the guards to herd the beast back out. She. Guame, and the businessman had been trying to think up on howto have Dione for atleast an hour, but they had come up with nothing. Tommorow, they were to meet up once again in the marketplace to discuss their plans. Lamia sighed, before she went into her house for the night...

Meanwhile, in the tunnelways benath Tristan, Dione sat by the Collusium entrance, her arms still roped up. She had been tossed into here, with sarcastic warnings to avoid the Orochi... good thing then it wasn't here... The daughter of the deceased pope looked through the pitch darkness, unable to see anything. She could tell it was going to be a long week...

A guard stationed at the edge of the city was wrenched from the walls and carried into the jungle, the attack so fast not even the guard knew what hit him until it was too late. Inside the jungle surrounding the town, the sightless monstrosities gathered, any other creatures unfortunate enough to wander by quickly becoming victims as well, the voracious hunters consuming every living thing that crossed their path, including the unfortunate guard...

Nearby, a few other guards were also on patrol. These guards had the standard gear; namely, their personal knifes, swords, armor, and bow and arrows. They kept on their patrol, with one of them heading away from the edge of the wall a tad bit, while heading off to where the killed guard was, unaware of the dangers lurking in the forest...

The torches on either end of the section of the wall the soldiers were stationed on suddenly went out in a flash of movement, plunging them into utter darkness. A group of the eyeless horrors began creeping up the wall, their hive-mind like intelligence already telling them where the unsuspecting prey waited...
