I float away from Earth for a couple of weeks, things change, and I'm left with no idea what's going on... Would someone kindly explain to the horrible E-War dropout where exactly the E-war went? XP

KP felt that the E-war was taking life out of the RPGS and themed E-wars with the members posting in it, Those who voted in the topic discussing that issue agreed that it should be locked.

there's no arguing against the fact it was fun. I agree there. however, it was murdering the RPGs, and reducing the writing standards of many of the participants. rather than improving, people posting in RPGTEW exclusively were actually getting worse, from a quality standpoint. by the time it was finally shut down, there were some posters whose posts made me want to scrape my face with a fish scaler. this site's supposed to do two things: entertain you, and improve your writing skills. RPGTEW conflicted with the latter.

If people could have participated in the RPGs properly, giving it a fair amount of time [meaning, each one getting just as much time as RPGTEW got], it wouldn't've been deleted. but as it stands, it took too much away from the rest of the site, and benefited no one in any meaningful way.

at the end of the day it was meant to be a place to write actions that aren't allowed here. it was never intended to be a legitimate E-War like the others, let alone one that encouraged members to neglect the RPGs themselves.

Admittedly its downfall was the inclusion of civil wars, but the rules forbidding them didn't allow people to enjoy the topic to the fullest either. It just evolved in a way that made it unfit to stay on the site.

When I was doing the harder game of Jurassic Park: The DNA factor, The info for one of the levels said that I would be safe from dinosaurs in trees, but when I climbed up said trees, I found Pachys and Dilos up there.

No TT, your wrong. I'm the reason why the E-war went belly-up. It was the sole reason I came here. The moment I saw the E-war, I was fascinated. I wanted to partake in it. I wanted to tell a story through it.. but, I suceeded in turning it into a cauldren of cruddy ideas and horrible plots. Over time, it decayed, and turned into a leech, sucking out all the life from the rest of the Forum... The one thing I loved most about this Forum... became like tar for the Forum... I deeply apologise for causing this entire mess... Had I not come here, you people would still be using the E-war. CS would actually still be enjoying it, using Noble Aircrest and whatnot.

It's also strange, really. Since the E-war went down, I've simply found it harder and harder to post in the RPG's. It's like I've run out of steam, almost, with the E-war being the coal that fueled me up. Now that it's gone, I'm looking for other fuel sources to use...

I would still love to wrap up my major plot, and then leave the Site after both that and the plots I have going on in the rest of the RPG's are finished, (Real life is a jerk. Next year, I'll be having to deal with College, jobs, and who knows what else, and I won't have any time to be on here most likely.) but... I shattered that completely. I hate myself more than ever now, and that, combined with family issues, is really taking a toll on my sanity and health... I can barely even think for a few seconds befor emy mind is filled with images of me hanging myself for what I've done in my life...

Once again, I am very sorry, everyone. I apologise for the damage that I have done to this Site...

And if you can't post, you can't post. We all understand that real life takes priority, its just how it is. The site is meant to be fun, not an obligation.

It's not just the Forum stuff that's slowly eroding my mind. It's also family issues... VERY TOUGH family issues... Stuff that I can't talk about in detail...

I do think KP has a point on this,give people the choice to put a lot of detail or not and have no consequences for the latter the people's standards of writing will gradually get worse.I think the whole point of a text rpg is detail,seeing as it's just text putting as much detail into it as possible will substitute for a non existent picture of whats going on.Detail and effort is what keeps the rpgs going and without it then important plot details concerning said rpgs could be missed if not put in enough detail
