Gothmog soon tensed up again, eying the bizarre creature advancing towards them with a weary gaze.

Oblivion turned and looked at the young giga, then snapped, "You go right, I'll circle left behind it and see what it wants." And with that the female lumbered towards the newcomer, her legs pumping like pistons as her gait sped up.

Erosion stumbled over her mothers body, and stared down at it. "No point in staying here, the scavangers will be here shortly..." Her feelings a mix of anger and sadness, the Female Dilophosaur tore off across the plains, her legs tossing up bits of grass and dirt as her clawed feet bashed against the ground.

Gothmog nods and circles to the right of the creature. his eyes were locked firmly on the creature, as he beared his yellowed, small, yet sharp fangs. A low growl eminated from Gothmog's partially parted lips, singalling that he meant buisness with this visitor. He would not let his friend get hurt by anything else.... not today...

The fronds of a low growing fern bush rustled and parted, a reddish brown head poking through the mass of greenery, alert yellow eyes darting around for signs of danger. Seeing nothing obvious, the raptor moved slowly on, slipping as quietly as he could over, under and through the densely packed plants that occupied this part of the forest. In his wake followed two more pairs of yellow eyes just like his, two more sets of footsteps, noisier and less carefully placed. These two raptors were younger and considerably smaller than the first. While the look on the adult's face was relatively blank, the two youngsters looked somehow subdued, with an air of having gone through a lot in a short amount of time. Nobody spoke. None of them had spoken from the moment they had started walking. There was nothing left to say, since they all knew how the others felt. The rusty adult stopped momentarily to scent the air, thinking for a moment he had noticed something, then simply grunted and resumed walking, intent on getting to a sparser part of the forest, somewhere he hoped would have prey worth catching. By the looks of the streaks of light that poked their way through the emerald canopy ahead, he and his offspring were getting closer...

The green and black raptor came to a breathless stop, practically throwing himself into a patch of long grass that poked up from the ground in between a bunch of trees, laying there. The sound of flowing water not too far off. Good, his throat was dry from his sprint. How far did he run? He wasn't sure. For a time he thought the Allosaur was chasing after him; or that the Stegosaurs were chasing it and in the same direction he was heading. Either way he wanted to get out of the situation and it seems that he did. He raised his head, peering through the skinny green vegetation in the way that he had come. He saw a straight of dirt, obstructed by a few shrubs and hanging vines. Light streamed down through various breaks in the tree top and the shadows were all but absent. "Why does this **** keep happening to me..." He rasped, trying to get his energy back.

Eradicus glared at the creature, roaring once more, telling it to leave his territory. He wanted to be there with the others, but couldn't. He was far too injured...

Xanthe's expression softened with memories as Cirrus made a quick leap for his sister's twitching tailtip. "Oh yes," he growled. "And perhaps the day will come when they leave to start their own pack." He chuckled as Alira gave an indignant, sleepy squeak and aimed a half-hearted swipe at Cirrus. The three raptors continued on in silence, as they had been doing for at least two hours now. As they walked, the forest began to thin as the red-orange raptor had expected, large beams of light streaming between the canopy leaves, casting the raptors into blotchy pools of gold as they passed below. As the minutes crawled silently by, the terrain became rockier and more uneven as the plants became more sparse. By now, the younger two were exchanging glances every so often, wondering when their father would let them stop for a rest, both unwilling to ask. Then, as if in response to their thoughts, the adult came to a halt and craned his neck, gaze trained on what looked to be a pile of large rocks against the side of a shallow hill a few yards away. Beckoning for the others to follow, he cautiously approached the pile, then held up a hand for them to stop nearby. The younger raptors gratefully obeyed and watched as their father leaped up onto one of the lower rocks, paused to gauge the stability of the next, and leaped upward onto it, paused again, then suddenly seemed to hop downward into an unseen cavern, disappearing from view. The siblings waited tensely, the olive green female shifting her weight from foot to foot, the gray male simply staring at the spot where his father had vanished. The two nearly jumped when the adult's head popped up over the rocks and he finally broke the long silence as he growled, "Looks like nothing's lived here for a while. If the surrounding territory's unoccupied, I'd say we've found our new home, for the moment." He hopped back up onto the rock surrounding the hidden entrance and looked down at them, attempting a strained smile. "Come on, if we split up, we can cover ground faster... Just a quick once-over will do... make sure nothing's lurking around the immediate area." He jumped down with a light thud, the siblings' yellow eyes on him, their expressions unchanged. "Dad..." came the female's voice tentatively. "Can't... can't we even look inside first?" "There'll be plenty of time to look later. It's a small cave. I couldn't see any other openings. Seems safe enough." "But Dad-" "The sooner we get going, the sooner we can get back." The female fell silent and the adult, noticing his voice had risen, lowered his tone a bit. "Just hold on a while longer, Sy. Be strong. We don't know anything about this territory, and we need to be on our toes. Now, let's split up. Rhojis will go south, you'll go west, and I'll take the north and east areas. Don't go too far, and meet back here as soon as you're done, alright?" Sylicora looked as though she wanted to say something, but merely nodded, her brother doing the same at a look from their father. "Be careful, you two. Alert me if you find anything," he growled as he started to move away, glancing back at the siblings as they too began moving in their designated directions...

The grass parted slightly, the raptor's snout poking through the tall growth, shooting from the left and right as he glanced about the area. He was able to evade the Allosaur and a herd of angry Stegosaurs, but in the process, did he run into yet another danger? Did he stumble into the territory of yet another giant, or was there a pack of killers hiding out, ready to pounce at once and strike him down before he could take his next breath? The jungle was thin in this area. The patches of tall grass were the only form of cover, save for a few bushes scattered about. Quickly, Aircrest scurried out from the long grass, making quick haste through the area, not sure where exactly he was heading...

The female Dilophosaurus continued to run for her life as the pair of raptors pursued her. She continued to run, until she stopped. She had arrived at the riverbank, and if her hunch was right... Behind her, the pair of deinonychus leapt out of the jungle, both carnivores having cornered their prey. The dilophosaurus whirled around, howling at them, trying to intinidate them as she backed up, edging toward the river. If she could just get across this river... she hoped raptors weren't very good swimmers...

Bias continued to thrash around, the water churning up as he tried to dislodge the piece of plastic. He sank down toward the bottom of the river, where he began to scrape his snout against the muddy, rocky bottom...

Chomper was walking down a game trail toward a nearby river to wash down his late breakfast which was a young edmontosaur which he had found alone, limping and crying for it's mother and had finished its suffering with a brutal charge which knocked it to the ground which was followed with a well placed stomp that snapped it's back.

As the large giganotosaurus reached the river he was greeted by the sound of howling and decided to investigate.Walking down the river bank he found a strange sight, a female dilophosaurus had its' back to him and in front of the small carnivore stood two raptors who hadn't seemed to notice him. To let his presence be known he growled which came out as a low rumble like growing thunder hoping to attract the smaller meat eaters attention

Oblivion followed the intruder to the edge of the beach, opened her muscular jaws to reveal rows of large serrated teeth, and bellowed with pure rage, spittle flying from her mouth, to make the message clear to the intruder. After the beast had dragged away a small kiill, Oblivon began to slowly trot back over to the downed male.

Gothmog watches as the creature leaves, and stops advaning towards it. Oblivion seemed content with letting it leave as well. "That went... well," Gothmog growls. It was... odd. This Carchar, like Eradicus, seemed trustworthy. Not only that, but she seemed to be willing to help them, despite barely even knowing them. "Always help those in need," he remembers his mother saying, "for when you are in need, you would want the help as well."

Oblivion nods to the other carnivore, "And without injury, i didn't exactly want to risk a fight, thats why I had the two of us go after it, justl etting that... thing know who's boss." Oblivion shifted her weight a little and with a questioning look, she camly barked, "The thing is, I kind of need somewhere to stay, my old territory has become... well, more of a game trail, and its brought a lot of larger adult carnivores into the area, not exactly that safe anymore...

OOC: Sorry, but I have Cross-country prac today so I wont be back on untill later! sorry bout that guys!

"Well," Eradicus responded to Oblivion, "you could stay with us as long as you'd like. There's the cave right over there that you can sleep in for tonight, if you'd like to anyways..."

Oblivion, slightly surprised by the males answer, began to speak but was inturrupted by a pesky insect flying aorund her face. After snapping at the small insect, she looked once again at the male, "You have my thanks, I never did get your name though...

As Rhojis walked away from the site of their possible new home, he noticed the forest seemed to get slightly thicker again to the south. Sylicora and Beryl however, noticed the opposite. To the west especially, the forest continued to thin. Not wanting to stray too far, the olive raptor decided to walk for only a few minutes before she turned back. Cautiously she crept through the increasingly thin trees, though she found that the grass seemed to grow in proportion, becoming taller the farther apart the trees were. After a few minutes, the grass reached chest-level, and the juvenile found that if she crouched down, she could almost hide herself in it. To the northeast, Beryl was in a similar situation, though he preferred to keep his head above the grass, scenting the air periodically for predator or prey...
