The soldiers with swords and shields fight ferociously, one severing a man's head from his body. The troops quickly step out of the way as the ballistas, reinforced by two more, fire flaming spears at their enemies while flaming and regular arrows rain down on them and Draxon archers. The catapults were soon fired right at the lithbolos in an attempt to take them down and make it easier for the ballista crews. Soldiers still waited outside for the main gate to be cleared so they could move in, some not even waiting and taking the ladders...

The footsoldiers fight fiercely, maiming or outright killing foes that are unfortunate enough to get hit by their powerful swords. The archers begin to fall back, firing at the enemy one more time before fully withdrawing, while reserve soldiers head up to the walls, shields raised, to deal with the pesky archers...

One Lithbolos is downed, but not before destroying another ballista. The other lithbolos begins to run low on rocks, but nonetheless keeps reigning hell upon those unfortunate enough to get hit....

The Militiamen soon reach the valley, numbering in roughly 1,000 militia- far smaller than an army garrisoned in Freyr-Lunge and the forts nearby!- and charge in to aid their allies, blades, axes, maces, and shields raised. They may have had light armor, but they were ready to kill....

Foot soldiers who climbed up the walls keep enemy soldiers at bay so the archers can keep on dealing with the enemy below as another volley from the ballistas, around 5 in total now, fire at the enemy, the confederate soldiers moving out of the way by then. The catapults are reloaded and fired at the lithbolos, rocks flying through the air in near-perfect arcs right at it. More foot soldiers climb up on to the walls and assist their allies as fire arrows rain hell on the militia men...

Akuro followed the armored creature. Sure enough, his aura was similar, but diffrent, to the Masked Being he had seen before. The wolf-like demon was cautious. There was something abou tthis that made the fur on his back stand on end... something about this he didn't like... but if it was a trap, Akuro was intrested to see just how far he could go before it was sprung...

The shadow continued to race along the ground, now nearing the castle that Akruo had entered into. It was moving at incredible speeds, already far out of Germanian territory...

'Can you tell us what it looked like?' Arsenic asked, frowning thoughtfully even as he walked to Aviva's side and laid his palms against her ribs, sliding them up and down gently, trying to assess the damage. His touch was light but Aviva still had to clench her teeth to hold in a growl.

Many mitliamen are slain, but they are numerable enough (still having a good 850 men left) to begin to massacre the Catapults' engineers....

The heavy shields deflect both arrows and blades with ease, the advancing infantry losing only 5 men as they clibm up the stairs. soon, they attack, striking at Confederate troops....

The soldiers fight on, their aggressive tactics certainly making them, at the very least, very infuriating to combat...

The Lithbolos is smashed, forcing the guards that survived on the walls to fight the infantry there....

Sharavuras enters the throne room. The hall was lined with statues of powerful leaders from the long tiems before the Cult's rise. Soon, the throne comes into sight, and Sharavuras bows before his master. Upon the throne, sat a positively huge figure, maybe 17 feet tall. Its chin had thick, greyed beard hairs, and an iron helm sat upon his head, plates also covering his body. A blade roughly 9 feet long sat next to his throne. Soon, the being rises up, and speaks.

"You may leave, Sharavuras."

The being bows and glares at Akuro before his disappears down the hall. Burzum watches as he leaves, before turning to Akuro.

"Ah, greetings, Akuro. I.... am lord Burzum, chief of the Olog-Hai. I have summoned you here for a very important reason."

Nitsunobue grumbles.

"No. Saw but glimpse of creature. Weird, green skin. All I can tell you. Wish I knew more: kill spawn of forest-killing Archdemon."

The horned tyrant bellows deeply at the memory of it absorbing energy of the forest.... destroying his homeland. It made Nitsunobue furious.....

Tetto'eko scratched his chin. "Green skin doesn't really narrow it down. Did you see how it was summoned, perchance? The color of the energy used could potentially tell us more about the Demon in question." he said.

Nitsunobue pondered deeply at the mention of the power. He remembered it, and soon replied.

"Color very vivid. Sickly green, if remember correctly. Like thing's skin. Kill surrounding area."

Tetto'eko nodded. "That would explain a lot, though I doubt the power of the summoning would have caused physical harm to the area around it. That is most likely the direct handiwork of the Archdemon." The Skink scratched his scaly chin thoughtfully. "Still, there are many Demons attributed to the color green. Mostly those who use disease and other such things. I doubt the Archdemon would send only one of those after you good people, however. It would have to be something particularly powerful..."

The Confederate soldiers fight on, while those on the walls hold off their enemies for the archers, who continue to fire upon their enemies. The 5 ballistas fire again, nailing a few more targets ahead of them as rocks crash into buildings and the roads of Freyr-Lunge...

Akruo bent down low to the ground upon seeing the impressive figure, to the poin that the Kitsune's lower jaw was resting on the floor. "To what reason have you summoned me here, Burzum, and how have you come across my existance?" the demon growled, keeping his eyes locked onto the figure before him. Yes... this was a most perfect specimen... It was the perfect body for him to possess... but first, he would hear out this Burzum befor erevealin ghis true intentions...

Burzum smiles, showing his fearsome fangs.

"Power, lord Akuro. I want power. As I am sure you understand, this cult's ultimate ambition is to conquer Aster and submit them to our lord, Sauron. And as I understand, you too seek power. I have asked you to come here for one reason: we will drive the forces of good down to their knees together."

Burzum coughs, his voice raspy before it is cleared.

"I, however, grow old; I am far past the age that a normal Olog-Hai would live, and I can feel my age catching up with me. I need an heir, a trustworthy one at that, one who will ensure that all will tremble at our feet."

Burzum coughs again, a little bit harder this time.

"My advisor, Master Sharavuras, seeks to take this throne from me; the only he has not is because I was too strong for him. I do not trust him with this power, for he will instead use it for his own devices, and turn the whole of Aster into a blight, a land swarming with the thralls of the undead. I trust that one of your stature would not let such a thing, befall a rich and prideful land. My goal is to conquer, not destroy."

Burzum sighs.

"What I say is, I want you to succeed me. I want one that will not destroy all, nor one too incompetent to carry my ambitions past my grave. Will you?"

Akuro eyed the being cautiously and curiously. Was this for real? Here he was, about to get what he so desired after all these many years. All those years of possessing the weak and frail bodies of humans, all those years of having them crumble beneath him and forcing him to find a new vessel, all of that was now a thing of the past. Should he had accepted this offer, he would have been the happiest demon around. He could conquer all of Aster with an army beneath him, and get reenge upon that damn dragon that had made a fool of him earlier! And yet, there was still one thing in particular that still troubled him. " You have still not answered my second question, Burzum... How have you come to know of me and my name?" the Kitsune asked. This was something he needed to know. First that dragon.. and now these guys... how had his name, which had been something very few had knwn about, suddenly spread like wildfire?

The shadow moved like a blur across the crossbridge, and into the castle. It raced down corridors and beneath doorways, following AKuro's scent... i tknew it was getting closer...

Burzum lifted his eyebrows, completely forgetting about the question.

"Ah, yes. You see, I heard tales from the orcs I would send out into the wilds that they saw.... something strange. A wolf-like creature of seven tails. It seemed to have great power, for all seemed to fear it. Curious, I sent my Morgul Stalkers to spy upon you. Excellent trackers they are. they managed to discover you though scent alone. They have been stalking you for weeks, lurking in every shadow, in every tree, in every cave since I heard of you so many weeks ago. They saw your encounter with the dragon and learned of your name. They returned to me and told me this, so I wrote that letter for you. My main Morgul Stalker, whom you may recognize as the "Masked Man" people speak of, soon went out to find you. And so here we are, in the throne of Gorgoroth, discussing the plans of conquering Aster."

Burzum chuckled.

"Amazing they managed to fidn you really, considering how sneaky you were. Took them days to finally catch up with you."

"We're not rid of it yet" rumbled Septimus as he glided calmly over the coast, descending as quickly as he could without throwing off the two riding him. the cliffs were dark, and would help hide him more efficiently. his dark back would blend nearly seemlessly, though his speed would make any hope of truly hiding pointless. it'd throw off the Hydra to a degree, but not lose it completely. and that was IF it was even relying on sight to find them...

"So let me get this straight....green poisonous demon thing waiting in the trees somewhere nearby, sent by that Archdemon to kill us, and a Wyvern that two minutes ago was out for our blood, now claiming peace and offering us this warning? I hate to be pessimistic, but this is less than convincing to me. But, if you insist, I shall oblige. In any case, we can't afford to waste time" said Andruil with a sigh as he whistled loudly, Furax galloping out of the treeline and coming to a hault at his side. "Vix, would you care to jump on? I'd hate to watch you walk the whole way" he offered...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"

Tetto'eko might have made a joke about letting a young woman ride on horseback instead of an old codger like himself if he wasn't preoccupied with his thoughts. Demons were variable to the extreme, and it would take him some time to make sense of this whole situation. Hopefully he could make an educated guess before the thing ambushed them...

"Sure..." Vix said, only half paying attention. She was frowning, deeply troubled by this revelation. Another thing to worry about - and she couldn't do anything. She was just a burden... She felt her hands clench into fists, fingernails biting into her palms. maybe she should've just stayed at the village and helped to rebuild her inn...but then she would've been constantly worried about Arsenic. Then again, her past and heritage might not have come out. Pick your poison, Vix, she thought bitterly. Arsenic caught the thought and shot her a concerned look out of the corner of his eye. She avoided his gaze. Aviva shrugged her old friend off with a growled, "They're just broken bones. They'll heal." Zar flicked the tip of his tail, worried but knowing Aviva wouldn't appreciate anyone trying to stop her from doing things as she normally did.

Chromatus continued to fly steadily, various heads looking around at the coast as he neared. He didn't understand why the dragon had fled, but it wouldn't matter in time, when he caught up with the creature...

"Hmm" Desrium hummed, glancing down to the sea. "It is like me" He said soon after, still gazing down at the water. It was so calm now, unlike what he remembered when he arrived those days ago. "Why do you fear it, Septimus? Because it is larger? Because it looks different? Don't scorn another of your kind, like how others scorn me, not without knowing its intent at least" He added, looking back to see the gargantuan creature lingering in the distance.

Alecia held on tightly as Septimus rapidly descended. She sat listening to Desrium and the dragon speak, but her mind was elswhere. She was captivated by the ocean.
