Bagan began to tear apart Manda as he neared Hawaii. Already, the large island was within sight. Blood drenched the water as he gulped down large quantities of flesh from the dead serpent. This was the first meal he had had in centuries, and he was starving...

Meanwhile, on the lunar surface of the moon, everything seemed to be still. Due to the lack of an atmosphere, the lunar surface remained virtually unchanged by wind or water, for both those things were absent there. The surface seemed lifeless, barren, and devoid of anything of significance. However, that was far from the case, for now, something that had been observing life on earth for thousands of years was now preparing for it's final act... an act, that, in the not-too distant futire, would bring about the possibility of death and destruction...

Within the desert dunes of the Saharah, a creature stirs beneath the sands. Soon, a beast that has not been seen in one hundred years will awaken.

Suddenly, the earth erupts, sand being sent all over, as a giant crimson shape flies up and soars off into the distance, shrieking loudly and scanning for prey.....

"Have you ever considered the odds they may try to pursue you eventually? sentience is no small thing to be imbuing to anything, let alone a gargantuan superweapon of the kind capable of changing the fate of a planet..." responsed Horus curiously as he drifted through space, silently surveying the planet...

Meanwhile, unbeknownst to the two Guardians, a massive comet drifted into the star system, ice and rock spilling from within as it streaked through space, seemingly aimless...

On the surface of the moon, lifeappeared to be vacant and empty. All that could be seen were rocks, rock, and more rocks. However, if one were to observe it more closely, one would notice a particualarly large rock, about 130 feet across. At first, there was nothing odd abou tthis one rock, but then, a small section of it opened up, revealing a special kind of lens. THis was not a rock at all, but a probe, one that had been observing life on earth for thousands of years. The eye-like lens began to shake, before a long, thin section of the probe began to turn, aiming the probe upward, at the sky. This probe was far diffrent than the much larger one that Spinnerx had blown up. It was far more advanced, with thicker armor, more state-of-the-art features, and more compact. Finally, the lens stopped. at first nothing happened, but slowly, the lens began to glow, abit dimly. For thousands of years, it had been gathering information of life on earth, and now, it had only one, final act to accomplish... The last of a series of events that it had done...

"They most certainly have tried. I was no fool those many years ago, however. Taking refuge on distant worlds, plotting an unpredictable course as I hurtled between star systems, passing through asteroid belts and nebula alike, if they haven't found me by now, chances are they never will" Spinnerax replied, his gaze turning to the dark expanse, the light of distant stars dotting the black canvas. While he spoke in terms of years, it had been several decades since the cyborg broke free of his war bound creators...

Infernus soon stopped circling his territory, and headed towards his volcano to rest. he needed to heal his wounds still, and the warm magma would reharden his skin while he healed....

"Let's hope so. The few factions I've known to have used monsters as weapons have been generally malevolent in nature, and powerful. We have enough trouble on our hands without the added problem of another warmongering faction seeking control" responded Horus calmly as he drifted over the planet, scanning the records on the internet for sightings, while a branch of his enhanced mind poured over the records of DHARMA's military divisions, seeking to find out everything there was to know about what they were equipped with, capitalising on his current lack of preoccupation while it lasted, knowing that he would have to divert his attention almost entirely if he was required to fight something powerful, and thus would have to slow or even halt his research...

Gidantria burrowed through the soft sand,in search of a suitable place to rest. This looks like a good place to resthe thought, the fine sand brushing against his hide, finding a cool pocket in the sand the great worm curled up and began to close is eyes, like bulbous black pearls without pupils. His mandibles clicking peacefully as he slept

"That is very true. While this world may be spared from their ever lust for conquest, I'm afraid that some other will crumble under their wrath. They lost me as a weapon, but they would have surely learned. Learned and improved. Perhaps there's another in their arsenal to take my place" Spinnerax said, half musing to himself as he put his thoughts out for Horus' analysis...

"Then we will simply have to remain wary for the time when they eventually stumble across this system" responded Horus calmly...

"Yes. We have all the time in the universe after all, to wait for them. Our concern now is making sure this planet survives until then. Tell me dragon, what is your name?" The cyborg responded as he too scoured the globe for threats, fully rejuvenated and ready to engage...

The lunar probe's lens continued to glow, before a beam of light fired up from the eye lens and into the distance. The beam of light moved at incredible speeds, moving past Mars, the Asteroid Belt, and Jupiter in no time, far faster than norma, heading straight for the psudo-planet Pluto. Inside the beam of light was all the information the Probe had gathered, abit compressed and cut so that only the relevant parts were included. This was the last of a long series of messages the probe had sent of... it had completed it's mission...

The red beast flew over the pacific at frightening speeds, looknig like a red blur to humans, but, compared to many monsters, was moving at a considerably normal speed. Bagorah was scanning for prey. To keep its metabolism up, the Red Death would need to feed soon, or ommobility.....

"Where I came from, I was simply called The Sentinel. Though the humans knew me by the name of Horus" came a message from the seemingly inactive form of Horus, as his sensors picked up an incoming object. the Dragon's eyes flared as streaks across his body lit up, the Dragon moving to intercept with a small flare of his jets...

The asteroid tumbled towards earth, a volatile jet of ice and gas having burst from one side of it and changing it's course from the moon towards the planet it orbited, a crack now appearing in it's form, a flare of whitish blue light exploding in a trail behind it, leaving a streak of light in the night sky over North America. Horus drifted above the planet, twisting slowly to face it, The Dragon opening his jaws, the whitish gold light shimmering within heralding the explosion of energy that would follow, a beam unleashed directly at the comet as it closed in, a large explosion of rubble rocking the asteroid and significantly slowing the approach. mathematical equations appeared on the edge of the Dragon's HUD, measuring the impact time of the various shards that had chipped from it, the main body of the asteroid cracking under the onslaught. in an hour, the chunks would land relatively safely in the middle of the Pacific...

The beam if light straked through the solar system, moving abnormally last, past planet after planet, until it finally vaished into the wormhole behind Pluto. Soon, the beam of light would be gone completely, the information inside of it would be decyphered and scanned by the probe's master. How long this would take was unknown. Maybe a matter of days, maybe a matter of weeks... but one thing was certain... the information had been delivered safely... and now, the true show was being set up...

On the shores of Hawaii, Bagan lumbered out of the ocean and up onto land, the dead corpse of Manda clutched in his jaws. This seemed like an aideal place for him to eat in peace...

Suddenly, a smell entered his nose as he headed back towards the volcano. He narrowed his gaze, before he turned and heade back towards the beach, letting out a deep, powerful roar to warn the being of his presence. Three intruders in one day was too much!

"Then may our efforts ensure a better future for these beings, Sentinel" Spinnerax messaged back, directing his drills behind him and firing small pulses of his vector beams. He was about to fire a fully charged burst so that he could land on the asteroid and redirect it when Horus unleashed the torrent of incinerating heat that was his beam. A flurry of alien numerals darted across his vision, showing him that the body of rock and ice had started to slow. Deciding to assist with the effort, Spinnerax fired his own ray, the thin spiral of red and white colliding with the asteroid and aiding with the push.

Bagan lifted his head up at the sound fo the roar, marge chunks of flesh hanging from his mouth. An ear-splitting roar blasted from the ancient creature's maw after he swalled the meat, a roar that signaled he wwasn't gonig to back down to easilly. After all, perhaps whoever it was that lived here could give him mor eof a fight than the sea serpent...

Bursting onto the scene, a fiery saurian of monstrous proportions stomps before Bagan, each step searing the ground beneath him. Drool seeps from his maw and hits the ground with an audible hiss. Twin jets of smoke puff out from the fiery saurian's nostrils, before a beam of flame erupts from his maw and slams into Bagan's chest....

Bagan grunted as the beam slammed into him. It wasn't the heat of the beam that caused him pain, but the strength of it was remarkable. Surely, he had picked the right monster to fight.Almost as if ignoring the beam itself, Bagan charged, plowing through the beam as if it weren't there, direct for Infernus.

THere on Hawaii, the impact could be felt all across the island.
