The masked man hissed, "Then you will need to be cautious. The Kiraharra is ... a deadly place, even for experienced hunters.... such as us." He paused for a moment. "Would you like to here.... the plan?"

Sharavuras nodded, his horse whinnying randomly. "I see," he replied flatly. "Where do you come from?"

"Whatever it is is likely along the lines of lethal. Our success would bring his entire plan to it's knees before it gets off the ground. It may already be ruined" said Andruil as he moved over to Tetto'eko, his sword in one hand, held leisurely at his side, the man still on high alert, eyes shimmering an eerie yellow in the dark on the edge of the forest. The darkness was broken periodically as the moon showed from behind the clouds, nearly full, The Knight eyeing it somewhat concernedly. He could practically feel his blood simmering, his muscles bulging and flexing beneath his armour and clothing, and he could swear he felt a wave of warmth run through him wherever the moonlight hit him, in spite of the fact he was almost completely clad in armour and leather, a light cloak wrapped over the armour that he used primarily to conceal his identity from people when he didn't want the attention. The man sighed, shaking his concerns from his mind and bringing himself back to the matter at hand. "Whatever the case, we can't afford to give the Demon or it's lackeys a chance to stop us. We need to get to the Dwarves, and soon. The Draxon army is well armed. If we want to disable them quickly we'll need to have equipment that outclasses anything they're equipped with so thoroughly that they can't hope to challenge us. I've seen their new King. He's a warmonger. We'll need to literally scare him out of a full scale war. Otherwise I doubt he'd have much of a problem marching his nation to it's grave" stated the man...

Meanwhile, above the Chimera and Hellhound, the flutter of wing membranes could be heard, though a mist had built up around them that seemed to make sight impossible, the thump of a considerably large wingbeat audible overhead...

Septimus finally halted in front of the armoured being, though his expression was one of shock, and he seemed to be looking past him, rather than at him...

Desrium's metal maw opened as if he intended to speak, though it was not sound that exited his mouth, but a few large bubbles that slipped out the sides of his jaw. Desrium closed his mouth, acknowledging that he was unable to speak beneath the waves. He wanted to ask what had caught the eyes of the dragon, but instead turned around to face where he did, the crimson glow from his eyes dimming as he too laid his gaze upon the marine lights...

"Then we had better get moving again," Tetto'eko replied. "No doubt the Hellhound will attempt hit-and-run maneuvers once he escapes our wyvern friend. It will certainly be slowing us down the whole way there."

Discord's discolored eyes flicked up at the cloudy sky curiously for a moment, before brushing the noise off. He was busy thinking of ideas in his chaotically brewing mind. An illusion was probably the best course of action, but he would need an elaborate one, one that would seem real in every aspect. That would take time. Fortunately, he had plenty of time on his hands now...

Nitsunobue soon began to slow his charge, realizing in his berserk state that a direct charge only got him hurt last time. Now planning, Nitsunobue burrowed into the ground and did his best to cover up the hole, searchnig for the vibrations of the travellers as best he could....

It's been a long time since I sensed THAT entity's presence in this plane murmured Gilgamesh's voice in Arashi's mind as the Dragon flew overhead. "Indulge me" responded the Dragon amusedly, having sensed the entity below, curious but not too distracted by it at the moment, though he decided to linger once Gilgamesh mentioned it, knowing the Demon was not one for pointless discussion. I began to sense it over the last century, drifting to and fro across Aster. Your prison did not lock me away from the world entirely. Though I could not interact, I could still feel. A fact I have you to thank, no doubt said the Demon, the last line being cold and bitter. "Oh, I couldn't just leave you there, stewing with your own thoughts for a millennium. You'd have ended up a lot less cooperative by the time I decided to put you to good use otherwise. Better to let you feel what was around you...keep you stimulated, occupied. But enough of the matter. Continue about this being..." rumbled Arashi in response. Indeed....This entity feeds off and takes pleasure in chaos and discord. The few times it passed nearby, I could feel the very land around me seem to lose balance. Animals that usually cooperated turned on eachother. Huntsmen in the forest during it's passing fighting or killing one another. T'was quite amusing. I believe it has the credit of being one of the only things to make me laugh throughout my time in that rock you locked me away in. Pity it didn't last long though. What happened to it, I cannot rightly say. It drifted out of reach of my senses one day, and I have neither felt nor seen trace of it since responded Gilgamesh, tone tinted with the particularly pleasant memory of Gryphons colliding with trees as they grappled in mid-air during a hunt. "An entity of chaos....an interesting concept" rumbled the Dragon amusedly...

Beyond the fog of the settling silt shimmered whitish lights, speckling what looked like a massive collection of large, smooth seashells, arranged in such a way to resemble a small city. the smooth ground beneath it resembled a spiralling conch, upon which dozens of smaller shells grew. and were the sight of the formation not spectacular enough, the organisation of the lighting and the movement if figures across the distant formation only served to confirm the insane thought. It was a city. a true city. all around it, a series of inwards curving spires shimmered with light, a silvery transparent sheet seeming to extend between them, forming a gigantic, strangely angular bubble. "So this is why Nobody has found Zuppoland....It's been down here this whole time" rumbled Septimus in his native tongue, sounding like a strangely beautiful blend of bird and whale song, musical, yet haunting, the Common Asterian tongue unable to be conveyed comfortably beneath the waves...

Discord wound his way through the forest, working his way parallel to the forest path the travelers were taking, moving quickly ahead of them with superior speed. The chimera had been locked up for a long time; he needed to focus on regaining full power. Fortunately, that wouldn't take very long. Of more immediate concern was preparing his newest game. The first he had come up with in centuries. Sure, it wasn't particularly original, but it served its purpose. He just needed to find the right spot and have enough time to make the elaborate and complicated illusion that would do the job for him. Meanwhile, he needed to give his future players a little distraction. The wyvern would serve just fine for now, and he had a couple other things up his sleeves to keep them preoccupied if that failed. Discord chuckled to himself, mostly ignoring his Hellhound traveling companion as he ran below him.

Today was going to be FUN...

A small trail of bubbles streamed out of Desrium's mouth as he opened it slightly. He made a barely audible groaning noise distorted by the water as he imitated the dragon- badly at that. It sounded more like a gurgling than anything else. He sluggishly turned his head to look at Septimus, pointing to the aquatic city, beckoning him to investigate.

Akuro nodded. He may as well hear it. Better to listen to whatever plan they have than to do things his own way... Though, his own way tended to be the more fun option...

Mara cleared her throat. " I come from the city of Tristan, in the small country of Germania." She answered...

"Where is that?" Sharavuras inquired. They were about a fourth of the way to the Zi-Mal, and there really wasn't much in the way of scenery.... might as well pass the time getting to know a future ally.

The Masked Man nodded as they passed over the great forest, trees zooming below them at high speeds.

"Forgive me for this.... but we will need you to be live bait. Make a loud noise.... and fall about fifty feet away from the entrance to his cave. That should draw him out to investigate. When I give the signal, the Stalkers will fire their bows- which were specially crafted the be strong enough to peirce dragon scales, mind you- and pin down his wings. Then, use your magic to stun him and we can take care of the rest. If that does not work and he begins to fly away..... we will have to give chase and take him down the old fashioned way..."

The Stalker captain looks down at this time, almost seeming worried....

Akuro chuckled. Bait. It was a position he wasn't new to. Several times in the past, he had used himself as bait, and each of those times had been sucessful. This one would no doubt be diffrent. "Oh don't worry. This should be rather easy for me... The only thing is... where exactly IS his cave?" Akuro asked, also looking down...

"Germania's located off quite a few miles south from here. You'll know you've entered Germanian country when the landscape becomes more swampy forest... THat, and you start running into giant amphibions..." Mara answered.

"Amphibians?" The Castellan said. He was unaware of what these 'amphibians' were, but they sounded menacing. "Are these some kind of demon?"

"His cave is high in the Kiraharra mountain range, at one of the highest peaks. He isloated himself in order for him to have a better scope of the land from his roost. In order to get there, we must fly. There is no physical method to climb up to the cave," the masked man said in reply. "Thankfully, there are rocks for us to hide on top of to spring the trap, and a nice ledge for you to play possum on."

"No, they're not demons." Mara giggled, slightly amused that the Castellan was unaware of what an amphibion was, though then again... alot of people, especially those who didn't have a class A education, wouldn't know what an amphibion was. "By amphibions, I mean creatures like frogs and salamanders, with their slimey skin, and laynig their eggs in water. These Salamanders, however, are enormous, over 40 feet long, and they breath fire." She explained. She was referring to the Zeuglodons that infested the swamps of Germania... Oh how she hated them for nearly killing her time and time again when her back was turned....

"I see." AKuro said, keeping his reply short and to the point...

Sharavuras seemed impressed. "They sound like they would be valuable allies in our war against Aster," he replied hastily. The duo soon reached a narrow pass that headed up towards the Zi-Mal itself. They both slowed to a stop, since Sharavuras commanded both horses mentally to do so.

"Follow behind me," he said. "'Tis a treacherous pass." His mount soon stepped forward, being cautious.

The Stalkers continued in silence. The great forest was beginning to thin, and the lands began to be covered with a sheet of snow. The air grew cold, and both beast and rider's breath was visible. The Kiraharra was close, but nowhere to be seen.... yet.

Nitsunobue continued burrowing, searching for the elves...

Tetto'eko glanced upwards at the sky nervously, noticing the weather beginning to take a turn for the worse. Dark clouds, hard to make out in the night sky, began to gather, and Tetto licked his lips apprehensively. More magically-altered weather. Something was going on here, and it wasn't good. "I suggest we move before it begins to storm," the Skink said out loud, beginning to move onward. "Don't want to be caught out in the rain."

"The route we're taking more or less guarantees that. But we've lost too much time already. We can't afford to stop for the evening" said Andruil as he pressed on, the last trees of the forest now behind him, a massive plain spread out before him...

A rumbling murmur reverberated through the water around the Dragon as he grabbed the armoured being, setting him on his back as he edged forward, intending to investigate. The underwater metropolis before him seemed to shimmer and waver before him, distorted strangely, as if set behind a curved glass surface. It intrigued him. He had to find out more...

Aviva swooped low overhead growling low in her throat. Zar was circling a bit higher, his black eyes glittering as he swung his head about, nostrils flaring as he tried to scent any danger headed their way. Be cautious, she said to Arsenic. Something's not right - this weather isn't natural. I feel it in my gut - be ready for another attack. The elf nodded and relayed her message telepathically to the rest of the group. His ever-changing eyes, stormy gray in color now, reflected both his mood and the skies above. Vix wasn't much happier, glowering at her assassin companion. Her ire pricked at his consciousness like needles; he couldn't blame her. She wanted to fight...but he couldn't let her. He couldn't. Another seizure so soon after her last one could kill her...she had to understand, he was doing it for her own good.

Desrium clung onto Septimus' neck as if he were flying. The sense of resistance was present beneath the waves just as it was in the sky, though somewhat greater. The dragon didn't seem too handicapped by the ocean, however, and he sported features the armored being found similar on the fish that he saw. The red-eyed being looked down the drop the Hueilin was heading towards, just as eager to see what the place ahead had in store...

It didn't take long for rain to begin to fall, spattering lightly against the flying dragons. Something was different about it, though: it was slightly sticky, and in no way watery to the touch. In fact, it had a smell to it, something almost... sweet, like candy. Tetto'eko, especially confused, stuck his tongue out to catch a drop of the falling liquid. It was sweet to the taste. In fact, if the Skink wasn't so worried that the rain had suddenly transformed into something completely different out of seemingly nowhere, he would've enjoyed the taste...

Unbeknownst to the group of travelers, Discord was flying over the top of the cloud cover he had created, gesticulating with his mismatched hands to contort and transform the clouds to his whim, causing them to rain the liquid sweetness they now produced. In reality, the clouds only extended a short distance in every direction; enoguh to keep the travelers confused, but not so much that the being of Chaos risked overexerting himself so quickly. He needed to save most of his power for the near future. Satisfied by the confusion he had no doubt sowed, the chimera chuckled and continued onward, planning his next step for after Nitsunobue had assaulted the travelers...

An irritated, rumbling snarl seemed to echo in the skies above, Andruil glancing up at the source. "I think we've just found the source of our storm. move. now. quickly!" he said as he upped the pace, Furax nickering uncomfortably as he broke into a trot, Andruil pulling his hood over his head, the cloak shielding him from the rain. unbeknownst to him, the source of the snarl was very different to the source of the apparent storm...
