I killed three dragons today, once solo with a dwarven blade and restortative magic, once in my werewolf form (yeah, that was awesome sauce), and another time with Lydia helping me.

You what I hate? Those damn sabre cats, or at least the snow ones. Hit as hard as a troll and are two times as fast, not to mention they're only SLIGHTLY weaker in terms of health than a troll. Those things are monsters! 
For Dragons, it's good to have a follower so they can help distract the dragon. NEVER engage head on; always attack the dragon's wings, becuase then it can only harm you with its tail (which does very little in terms of damage). Attacking its head is asking to get chomped in half in 3-4 bites, not to mentions gettign roasted or frozen solid.

I can usually sneak by them but when your ambushed by them... that hurts
And for dragons I just shoot them with arrows fom cover it takes like an hour but works !
