Akuro continued in deeper, determined to catch the krayt...

Until he heard the snoring.

It was soft at first, but when he got in deeper, it grew louder, causing the Kitsune to hault. By now, the scent of dragon was overpowering, and nearly caused him to gag. Up ahread he could see something, a light... Mara's warning replayed in his head, making him want to turn back... but he shook his head, and went on in, not leaving until he got what he so wished...

Mara looked around. Sure, the place was beautiful... from a twisted, mutated perspective...

The Stalkers moved lightnnig fast, yet as silent as the wind. They were soon right on Akuro's tail, following him quickly....

The Krayt ran into a large open space, and saw just what had been making all that thunderous noise. The draconian creature froze in horror at the sight of the monstrous beast before him...

Soon, a little dip was visible in the land, and a small huddling of shacks made of wood was visible. The orcs began to move faster, ready to finish this.

Akuro finally made his way to the entrance of the massive cavern, before he stopped. he looked inside... and gasped. What Mara had told im paled compared to wht he saw.

Before the Krayt was a pleathora of treasure, ranging from golden statures, to rare diamonds and gems, to a mountain of golden coins. The entire place was a huge treasure horde, but it wasn't the treasure that had frightened the Krayt.

No, it was what was resting on it.

Ontop of the massive hoard was a dragon, one larger than any Akuro had seen in his life. It was a goliath of a beast, atleast 150 feet from it's mammilian snout to the end of it's whip-like tail. It was curled up, with a single cat-like eye open, glaring at the Krayt before it. It's fangs protuded outside of it's snout, and it's bat-like ears swerved around. Slowly, the giant beast raised up its head, and bared it's fangs, the saliva drippnig from its maw splattered agaisnt the ground... and began to dissolve it, leaving holes.

There was no doubt about it, this was the dragon Smaug that Mara had been talking about.

The dragon looked around, as if oblivious to the frightened beast before it, before it locked on the entrance to his lair, AKuro avoiding the light beaming from its eyes narrowly.

" Well thieves, I can smell you, feel your air... I can hear your breaths... Come along from your hiding place on the other side of the entrance... their's plenty and to spare." Smaug hissed, more or less ignoring the Krayt infront of him.

Akuro gulped. He knew that Smaug was addressing im and the Stalkers that were coming up behind him. No doubt he had smelled them from miles off, long before they were near the cave...

As Jiier stood a few yards deeper in the cave, the thunderous sound of wings reached the outcropping, a massive shadow descending over the armored being's still form. The gargantuan form of Chromatus slowly descended onto the platform, landing on all fours and almost taking up the entire ledge in the process, being careful as to not injure the meditating Desrium. "May I speak now?" the black-scaled head asked, blood dripping from the blue's forehead. Jiier shrugged, a very strange gesture for a dragon. "That depends. Do you intend to continue talking like a whelp? I've got enough of that here already," the dragon growled with a dangerous smirk, eyeing the wound to the hydra's head. "I am not a-" the green head began, stopping as Jiier eyed it fiercely.

Silence. Whatever was theyre must have moved on, a minor distraction. But that moment she started to relax, a primal roar deffend her, causeing her to suddenly loose her balance and smack the back of her head off a branch. The Assasin crumpled over, her read hair covering her face.

Desrium's arrival on an exceptionally large platform was marked by a powerful tremor that brought him to a kneeling stance until it had gone away. Perplexed, Desrium stood up again and looked over the edge of the platform, seeing that the image of the cave was much darker than before, a gargantuan shadow spread out over it. Within, the draconic form of Jiier was visible in the induced twilight, his eyes being the most prominent feature. They conveyed aggression and hostility towards something that the Blood Omen couldn't see- it stood behind- or judging from its massive shadow, over him. The armored being debated ending his meditation now and returning to assist Jiier, but was unsure if the dragon wanted his help. His power was great and much more refined than the armored being's own. Jiier was more than capable of fending off threats, and if he couldn't fight then he could easily outpace danger. Whichever was the case, Desrium was sure the shape shifter would keep him from harm while he delved into the depths of his being.

When he made his decision the presence of mana increased exponentially, becoming much more pronounced. That made the change in its location that much more obvious. Before he could react, the platform he stood on was laced with cracks. It then shattered seconds later, the chunks that once comprised it raining around the Blood Omen as he fell towards the sky...

In a matter of seconds, the taloned hands on a forest troll pulled a large, mottled green haired beast up to the top of the tree, three black, heartless locked on the assassin. Large, ivory fangs poked out from its leathery lips, as its mouth tore open into a roar, muscles visibly rippling beneath its jowls. The creature reached a clawed hand towards the Assassin's foot, attempting to pull her from her roost...

The Krayt, seeing its only exits flanked by a demon and five ethereal entities and a monstrous dragon, takes cover behind a large mound of gold, hoping the gargantuan beast didn't spot him already...

The Stalkers, along with their master, froze immediately. The dragon knew they were there, and seemed to be focusing on Akuro. If the beast came any closer, they'd be forced to fight it, but they had no equipment to combat somethnig this monstrously huge. Only Gorgoroth had the equipment, and that was a good distance away form god knows where they were. The Masked Man, for the first time since he was an orc, seemed nervous.

"Well? Should we confront him? Fall back? This is not our quarry, so I'm leaving this decision up to you..."

" You guys stay back here." Akuro hissed at the stalkers. "I'll deal with this." With that, the Kitsune cleared his throat. " We didn't come to steal your treasure, Smaug. We came for the Krayt that hides in your treasure hoard."

The massive dragon looked toward the entrance, before a chuckle escaped his maw. " Is that so? You remember me, but I don't remember smelling you before." Smaug rumbled, as he lifted up his tail and brought it down on the gold pile the Krayt was hiding behind, sending the gold flying all over the place. " Go ahead then, and take it. I have no need for another dragon in this chamber..."

" Nice place the Brutes got... Now to jsut recruit them." Mara yawned, rubbing her eyes. She had been up all night and had hardly gotten any sleep. Now it was beginnig to show...

The stalkers prepped their bows, while the Masked Man readied some morgul spell in his good hand, if it was necessary. The five were unsure if they should go in with Akuro, or to wait...

The Krayt seemed thoroughly terrified, letting out a high pitched growl....

Shurzak simply nodded, before the orc troop marched into the group of shacks. The village, if one could call it that, seemed empty. No noise, save for the howling of wind, was audible in the town. The orcs were understandably nervous; after all, entering where a group of known, towering beasts lived was not somethnig that made someone feel particuarly comfortable. Suddenly, they came across something akin to a town square. In the center stood a lone creature, large, broad, and tall, covered in thick metal plate armor. The orcs spread out, as Urg approached him, and gestured for Mara to come with him. Shurzak whispered to Mara.

"Go on- talk to it."

Septimus' eyes were focused on the furious beast as it bolted through the water towards him once more, the Exile twisting out of the way just as it went past, his jaws clamping down in the beast's rear flipper, causing it to roar out in pain, it's massive, powerful tail colliding into the Exile, dazing the Dragon and knocking him loose as the beast swam forward, turning around and proceeding to circle around him with a rumbling growl that seemed to shake the very water around him. Septimus barely had the time to regain his focus before a second powerful blow hit him in the flank, winding the Exile as the large marine Dragon circled him predatorily, it's gaze particularly shark-like in spite of it's eerie glow. Septimus growled lowly, electricity crackling across his form, bound to him by the magic he wielded, as the other Dragon seemed to shimmer, golden wisps flowing across it's form as a wave of golden runic patterns covered it's entire body, ignited by the magical energy it was mustering, Septimus staring in surprise for a brief moment before shaking himself back to his senses, not wanting to be caught off-guard. at once, the two Dragons unleashed the force of their magic against one another, a powerful bolt of electricity shooting forwards at the Marine beast as a writhing wall of flame-like golden energy washed forward, colliding with the bolt and washing over it, the magical field used to contain the two beams disintegrating, exposing them to eachother as well as to the surrounding water in a massive explosion of steam, the shockwave dazing both the beasts and engulfing them in the cloud...

Now that the Krayt was in sight, Akuro lunged from his hiding place. Smaug simply watched as the Kitsune leapt upon the Krayt, pinning him to the ground, electricity arching from his claws into the draconic being, paralyzing it...

" So, you got what you wanted... Are the rest of your pals going to com out as well?" Smaug crackled, eyes not leaving the entrance, though one was locked on Akuro...

Mara looked at the Shaman, then at the figure, before clearing her throat and walking toward it. " Um, excuse me there, sir... Do you hve a minute?" She called out as she walked toward it. Sure, she looked calm outwardly, but she was nervous, and readyy to unleash flames if it were needed.....She held her snake-headed staff tightly..

"Let me try this again: What made you come here?" Jiier asked, staring at the larger creature sternly. "A sense," the crimson scaled head responded, showing no sign of explaining. "A sense of what?" the smaller dragon asked, his irritation growing. "You and the other one," the obsidian head growled, looking deeper into the cave. Jiier's eyes narrowed slightly, wondering what, exactly, the hydra meant by this. "And what do you intend to do, now that you are here?" he growled. "...I cannot say, I do not wish to anger you again."

The boulders continuously broke down as they fell to the swirling energies and colors, the progressively shrinking pieces crashing against each other noisily. They orbited the armored being, whose decent gradually slowed as the maelstrom started to become somewhat more recognizable and ordered. Rings of alternating blue and red formed as Desrium floated towards the center. The energies once expelled from the whirlpool were now caught in its outer edges, darting around the miles wide circle like energetic race horses, completing their laps in seconds.

The debris surrounding Desrium drifted into place around him, shuddering and quaking once in position. The rocks fitted themselves together, forming a ring riddled with cracks, which then began to spin. It was a slow revolution at first that picked up speed quickly. The cracks in the rocks brightened with a golden glow that when combined with the spinning of the rocky ring, formed a brilliant halo around the armored being. Soon after, the light spread across the stone and flattened into a disk only centimeters thick, centered around his feet and glowing incredibly bright. It then started to rise, the line of bright light running along the Blood Omen's metallic shell and simultaneously, calling up the blue and red expanse below...

the Marine dragon exploded from the cloud of steam, the vapour trailing behind the beast as it shot downwards into the depths of the chamber, Septimus diving down behind it, eyes shimmering, electricity crackling across his form, crackling around his horns as he closed in. The Marine dragon roared as it suddenly twisted, hitting Septimus in the face with a blast of golden energy, the feeling reminescent of flames, but agonising even to the Dragon who was naturally resistent to fire, Septimus veering off and hitting the wall of the cavernous chamber. Are you done fighting, whelp? echoed a deep voice in Septimus' mind, the Exile groaning as he recovered, a plume of magical energy flowing from his clawed hands to his chest as he magically enhanced his breath until he could find some source of air. You...You can talk? echoed the younger Dragon's voice in the marine beast's mind, a rumbling chuckle responding. Are you so inexperienced in the nature of Guardians of the Wells that you would think a non-sentient being capable of withstanding the power this place holds? My, how my kind have fallen since my time echoed the voice disappointedly. Septimus' eyes widened slightly at the beast's words. Your kind? What do you m- started Septimus as he eyed the beast, when he finally saw it. the Clan symbol on the marine Dragon's head. So you finally notice, whelp....Clan Khulruud.....the link that connects us both rumbled the beast's voice as it spoke with him psychically...

Like the clouds his Hueilin friend flew through, the blue and red rings drifted apart and collided with each other, forming an abstract cover that enveloped the armored being in a weightless embrace. He was lost in it with only the halo being visible at what seemed like miles over him. The closest thing to a sun that this strange realm had to offer, the halo was caught in the wall of color as well, its rotation pulling the clouds into a spiral. A cyclone was forming around the Blood Omen, bursts of light shining through the wispy plume that took shape. The mana he sensed was all around him now as his understanding grew more and more, piercing the very essence of his mental realm. The events around him merely reflected his growth and were of little consequence as Desrium came to terms with his very soul...

A blue flame appeared before him, burning without fuel and surrounded by a red aura, flickering, flaring and flashing. The colors of the clouds; the colors of his eyes. In the clouds was a recreation of a distant memory, over eight centuries old. A dim stone chamber cast in cool, dark blue light, suddenly brightened by an eruption of arcane energies. The twisting beam that once contained the birthing Blood Omen was now represented by the flame, which expanded into a violent spiral of orange, red and yellow and extended itself both up and down, meeting up with the halo. Burning tendrils of mana reached out for the armored being, who regarded them with his unchanging glare, unfazed by the display. This was what he was. He was looking at the energy that comprised his inner being... the very energy that comprised his soul.

"Hello, I am Desrium" he said to the whirlwind of power. Inside the magical barrier, two golden-white eyes peered back at him. "Greetings. As am I" was the reply the Blood Omen received. The being within reached out with its hand, its arm matching its eyes in terms of its bright glow. Desrium returned the gesture, his chilling metal fingers meeting those of himself, unbound by the dark gray plates.

In an instant, he too was engulfed by the plume of magic from whence he was born...

The Masked Man shrugged at the others, seeing they had faield to stay unnoticed, and soon stomped into the open. The wraith liek beings stayed silent, instead simply glaring at Smaug from behind their iron masks....

The big homonid glanced up at mara, and looked at Urg and the orcs, before he grunted in aknowledgement. He let out a yell, before four heavily armored brutes stomped into the open, and escorted him to the two leaders.

"What you want?" the Brute said angrily.

"L-lord Burzum asks of y-your allegiance." Urg said, holding up a scroll.

"We no like Burzum," The brute, who was presumably the chieftain, replied angrily. "Give us good reason for joining him."

The chief's bodyguards seemed to be glaring at Mara, looking at that staff with something between fear and hatred...

Akuro turned to the masked man and the others. "The Krayt is immobilzed for now. I would like for you and the others to take him and the other one back to Burzum's place, or if that's impossible, to wait for me. I have someting I must ask Smaug here." Akuro snarled, before turning back to the massive dragon.

" What is this? You wish to ask me a question... You have good manners for a fox... and a demon..." Smaug chuckled, the smile on his face spreading...

Mara noticed that the brutes were starring at her staff and, deciding to try her luck, lifted it up and jabebd it into the ground. "It would be in your best intrests to make an alliance with Lord Burzum, for this alliance will ensure the survival of you and your kind in the dark times up ahead, times that will threaten the existance of all Aster!" She announced, an almost dark glare evident in her eyes. Maybe this would make them think of reconsidering... after all a common threat was a decent way to win allies...

The stalkers nodded, quickly approaching the Krayt, and begin to (VERY) slowly drag it back towards the opneing, never taking their eyes off of Smaug in the event that he plans to attack...

"What dark times?" The chieftain growled in his gravely voice. "We been oppressed by Burzum long enough! What be worse than fat troll chieftain abusing authority in wasteland? Dragon? Demon? We been through worse in past few decades."

"L-lord Burzum says the threat is of u-utmost importance, a-and should be delt with. We will n-need troops to deal with the th-threat," Urg said shakily.

"Ha!" The chief chuckled, followed by bestial snarls from his guards. "Why would we help oppressor? And all Aster? All Aster been against us! What we care of their fate?"

The chief glanced at his guard and whispered somethnig in the black speech, before the guard ran off towards one of the buildings. Naturally, the orcs all began to back away with fear, even Urg, who had put up such a tough front to Mara earlier. The chief glanced towards Mara.

"And you? What you have to say for self? Got better reason for joining Burzum, or will we eat good tonight?"

The guards snarled, readying their cleaver like blades to kill if given the command...

Smaug kept his eyes on the stalkers for a few second, then redirected his attention to Akuro. " What is your name, fox?" The dragon crackled, acidic saliva dripping from his maw.

" I am Akuro, and I believe you may have meet a friend of mine in the past... someone by the name of Mara." the Kitsune growled, hoping to prove his hunch right...

" Mara...hmmm... Aw yes... I remember now... the little Nue girl that saved my life some years back and had visited me every now and then." Smaug spoke, his fangs glistening.

"You say that Mara saved your life once... tell me, how did such a thing happen?" Akuro asked, now confused. Nue? He had never heard of such a creature before... and how had someone like Mara managed to save the life of a fire drake like this?

Mara simply looked at the Brute Chief, before she began to giggle, which turned into chuckling. " You fools don't realize it, do you? When I said all Aster, I meant ALL Aster, including YOU AND ALL YOUR KIND!" Mara burst out, an almost sadistic grin spred across her face. "What I'm talking about isn't jsut some ordinary threat. Let me put it to you this way: Both me and Burzum, as well as several others felt an ominous voice speka into our minds. Now you may say, 'well that isn't very impressive', until you realie something. ALl of us were a long distance away from each other when we felt the voice. Now, the one thing we all shared in common was, we were magic users. What if, not only were we able to hear the voice, but EVERY MAGIC USER IN ASTER was capable of hearing it as well. Now, try and imagine just how powerful a being like that must be. THAT is what we're up against... And THAT is why we request an alliance with ou. Otherwise, all of Aster may as well be condemned to fire and brimstone." With that, she finished, a smug look on her face. Of coarse, having so little to go on about this thret from both Akuro, Burzum, and the shapeshifter from last night, he had to... exxagerate abit on wht she knew. If these dumb idiots could put 2 and 2 together, no doubt they'd realize what they were up against... and if tht failed... then there was always barbequed Brute...

The chief thought about it for a bit, and noted that his guards seemed spooked by the story.

"Perhaps you right... if threat bad enough for Burzum to come to us, maybe it important."

The other guard returned with a massive horde of large, muscular homids, all decked out in similar gear as the guards. The chief turned to the troops.

"We go to Gorgoroth today. Our village at risk of destruction by ultimate threat. Go with human woman and orcs. I will meet you at gate soon enough."

The brute soldiers seemed confused, but followed his orders and walked over to Mara and her troop of orcs. They couldn't talk, but each gave a grunt of aknowledgement to Mara and the orcs. They were here to serve...

The stalkers continued dragging the Krayt before they disappeared from the cavern, still listening in on Akuro's conversation. A Nue? Never heard of that before... but they had somethnig bigger to deal with take the Krayt back outside, and give it to two of the olog-Hai, who will then go and take it to Gorgoroth, while the Stalkers will go back and aid Akuro...
