Desrium landed in a crouch, the staff held at his side with one hand, the other one clenched in a fist and bracing against the ground. He stood up and held his teacher's weapon out to him, saying nothing, his eyes still shimmering somewhat.

"You misunderstand yourself, hunter. This being and those who fear for the damage it can cause dates back centuries. It is why that book exists. Those which you saw combating it are members of our timeless order. Our secrecy should not be an issue when you have seen what has happened, and what could full well happen again." said the golem, the numerous voices becoming much more noticeable now...

"Thank you," Jiier rumbled, taking hold of the staff between two large claws. Although he was taking some degree of care, the claws of the dragon should've cut into the staff with ease, but they strangely did not.

"You are welcome" Desrium said with a nod, then he walked over to his place on the outcrop. Assuming his pose, returned to his meditation, not to continue probing the extent of his inner power, but to bring himself at ease after nearly reverting to his primal state....

Jiier placed the weapon deeper in the cave, in a small indentation where it would not roll far. The dragon, rather than reverting back to his smaller form, decided to rest in his natural shape, enjoying the time to stretch his limbs and relax. After what he had just experienced, he definitely needed it...

Zar kept his wounded eye tightly shut throughout it all, watching Andruil tend to his mate through just one glittering black eye, and finding the experience of being temporarily half-blinded disconcerting. Now, holding his neck in a tight S-curve, he watched the elf's every move as well as he could.

Aviva shifted, lifting her wing a bit further so the damage to her ribs could be better assessed. "And the bones?" the dragoness growled seriously. Tissue damage was one thing; broken bones another entirely.

The Krayt sniffed around, then froze, before darting away. Akuro snarled as he leapt out of cover and chased after it, the Kitsune gainnig on it. It was now or never. If he could either paralyze it or chase it abck to the Stalkers...

"However, Akuro didn't realize that there was one othe rperson there that was helping him, someone who had managed to elude his detection the whole day...

"Laying low would indeed be a good idea." Mara responded. She also didn;t like that idea, but hopefully, her plans for Tristan would still be able to be carried out...

The flaring quickly subsided once the armored being was back in his zone of peace. His mind returned to its state of rest and started recuperating from the stress it had underwent. He had made a great stride this day in attaining control, but as his teacher had told him, there was much work to be done in order to achieve true understanding.

Tetto'eko stroked his scaly chin, brows furrowing. "I can mend the bones without breaking the skin in a similar manner, but it will be difficult, not to mention time-consuming. However, it's not impossible. You will simply need to lie still for a rather long time. I must be slow, methodical, and careful, or I may not fix the ribs properly, and no one would want that..."

Andruil chuckled lowly at the skink's response, before turning to Zar. "What injuries do you think you have aside from the eye?" he asked as he looked over the Dragon's body, seeing little trouble aside from minor scratches and cuts in the wing membranes...

"Which is exactly why we need to know who we're dealing with well. No war can be won when one of two allies knows nothing of their comrades" responded the Vindicator, eyes shimmering eerily, unwilling to compromise...

"I think this is my worst one," Zar rumbled, inclining his head slightly. "My head is sore from taking a few blows, but Aviva took more serious hits than I."

Aviva gave an understanding hum. "I will try not to move," she growled, suggesting, "Perhaps the worst breaks should be tended to first? Just in case we need to move quickly. The smaller ones will heal in time."

"Excellent idea," Tetto'eko agreed with a nod. He extended his clawed hands, a faint yellow glow forming around them. As he closed his eyes, brow furrowed in concentration, he hissed, "Lay still, and try not to flinch. It may sting a little..." He flexed his fingers slightly, experimentally, and thin tendrils of energy trailed from his fingertips and to Aviva, vanishing as they touched her injured side. He twitched his hands, and the broken ribs began to move, as if being pulled by a puppeteer's strings, slowly, carefully, felt as a dull, throbbing pain by Aviva herself...

Nitsunobue watched the whole scenario pan out in total awe. It was certainly engrossing for some odd reason... perhaps the bright lights, but nonetheless the wyvern found the skink priest using his magic to be quite amazing the watch....

The stalkers immediately went with Akuro in pursuit. The olog-Hai attemtped to aid, but they were far too slow to catch up with the far quicker akuro and stalkers. The wraith-like entities attemtped to fire their bows, but the speeds they were going at were too fast.

"Akuro! Stun it!" The maksed man bellowed.

Burzum simply nodded, before he coughed violently and began to go back to his throne room...

Desrium sat up, underneath the red and blue sky again as he was before, as if his venture into the jungle and confrontation hadn't happened. He got up from his perch and as he did, the upper most portion of the rock spire separated itself from the rest of the tower. The armored being used the flying boulder as a transport of his mental world which was once again building upon itself. From the base of the tower, more expanses materialized and spread out, seeding itself with oddities of magic and nature.

"War?" The golem asked before its voice became incomprehensible, the laughter of many joining and distorting and projected by the golem. "This is no war. This is one faction asking another to hunt what it could not kill itself. This is a hunt to find something that even we don't understand and all we can say is that," the golem cradled its arms and the illusion of a baby wrapped in linen appeared within. "It is a hunt to find a problem and ending it-" the golem pulled one arm from under the baby with the other secured around its neck, the body swinging back and forth limply. "...When it is at its weakest and vulnerable"

Even in sleep, Jiier was alert. Centuries of training his mind allowed him to both calm easily and awake at a moment's notice, should the need arise. Despite this state of awareness, the dragon frequently dreamed. It was mostly of his mother, looking back thousands of years to the small amount of time he spent with her. She was the only of his kind he ever knew. His time as a youngster was dangerous but peaceful. It was during that time that he discovered the depths of his power, and how hazardous it was without proper training. Unfortunately for him, and potentially the armored being seated a few yards away, this dream was not of the peace spent with his mother. Instead, it was her demise. The air around the dragon was steadily supercharged, a low hum emanating from the sleeping beast. The anger and sorrow of the event was visible on the sleeping dragon's features, teeth bared while his eyes remained shut. The hair all across his body began to stand on end as a surge of energy coursed through his body and into the surrounding stone, Jiier's hair and scales gradually brightening in color.

Desrium's own dreamscape reacted to the rise in Jiier's power. Popping up below him were forests of the strange plants of light and the sky too was warping, the blue and red mist appearing and swirling in random patterns. Flashes of lightning went off in them, and Desrium shifted his focus from recovery to control. He had to keep himself from being overtaken by the surge, for after his advances, giving in to it would be nothing short of defeat.

Jiier's state only seemed to grow in intensity as the dream progressed. The dragon was usually in such rigid control of his more violent emotions, but whenever this particular memory reared its ugly head, control was difficult to maintain. Despite still being asleep and entrapped within his memories, Jiier subconsciously fought to regain control, his hair and scales turning from the brilliant gold seen before to something else entirely...

The illumination forest burst into magical flames in an instant and in the distance the spire crumbled into the inferno of raw energies. Even in his mental realm Desrium sat with his legs folded and his gauntlets pressed together, barely keeping his grip of himself. He felt himself getting weaker while his essence grew stronger and knew he had no choice but ease himself into his empowered state...

The armored being's eyes were like the flames that existed in his mind, flickering and flaring bright blue trails leaving his gaze and floating around as a mist. He rose from the ground once more, levitating as the mana field started its formation. The rocks and pebbles that once floated freely around him hit the magical barrier and was destroyed, raining down to the platform as dust as he ascended...

A brilliant light unfolded above Desrium amongst the sea of magical energy, casting away the turmoil and chaos like a light in the darkness. The armored being was raised up into the light, the magical energies that flowed through him calmed to the point of stability. Soon the chaos of his own being was left behind, the Blood Omen engulfed in the light completely. Barely visible in the blazing light, appearing only a few yards away, was torrent of energy twisted into the shape of an equine creature. The exterior of the figure shown with such brightness that the brilliant surroundings paled in comparison. Its interior, by contrast, was as black as the darkest night, strangely not overpowered by the brilliant white light of the rest of its body. Gazing into the darkness gave the sense of looking into the night sky, specks of light within acting like stars. Atop its head was a single large horn, made of both light and dark energies twisting around each other. The being was considerably larger than Desrium, around Septimus' height, while two brilliant orbs, one light, and one dark, bored into his very being.

"Ive met creatures like you" thought the armored being as gazed upon the equine of both dusk and dawn. "They were not as..." the Blood Omen stopped mid-thought, searching his mind for the right word. "Impressive...beautiful as you, however" he concluded, staring into both the brightness and darkness...

"I am flattered," a voice, feminine in tone, seemed to reverberate around the seemingly boundless area the two floated within. "Do you understand why you are here?" the equine being continued, though it lacked any visible mouth, the voice soothing, almost motherly in nature.
