"I do not" replied Desrium, "But a friend has taught me to find answers within myself through meditation. Are you here to teach me something?"

"Perhaps, if we would meet again under better circumstances," the being replied, bowing its head slightly in a subtle gesture. "You and your people are threatened by a force unlike any other. You know of the being of whom I speak."

"I do not consider them my people, but yes. It took my sword" said Desrium to the heavenly mare.

"I am sorry for your loss," the being responded, once again dipping her head briefly. "But perhaps it is for the best. Better your sword than your life,"

"Or my friends" Desrium added. He cared not for his life if it meant sparing those of Jiier and Septimus and his other acquaintances left to their own lives.

"Then you understand the severity of this situation. Your home..." the being began, trailing off briefly as an enormous presence peered into Desrium's consciousness. During this extremely brief meeting of minds, the Blood Omen could feel the limitless depths of the equine creature's being, as well as sense the presence of six others with power almost identical to her own. "...Your 'Aster'...will be reduced to a wasteland, scoured of life not by intention, but as a byproduct of what this being intends. None will be spared, not even your friends."

The equine being bows her head, giving a soft laugh. "Then there is hope," she stated, as the light seemed to dim. "Carry this message as far as you can...I believe our time is...up," she continued, as Desrium's view was suddenly and violently turned black. "I WAS WRONG. YOU HAVEN'T LEARNED. BUT YOU WILL," a voice, like a raging maelstrom, roared in the Blood Omen's mind. Had the armored being any ears, they would've surely burst under the volume of the voice, which blistered with anger. Although he could not see it, Desrium began to unravel, his armor peeling away like the skin of a piece of fruit, two malefic eyes appearing in the darkness, glaring into the armored being's own mere feet away. As the energy that made up Desrium's inner being began to disperse, the sensation suddenly stopped, and a blinding light radiated to his side, though he could not turn to see it. "YOU HOLD NO POWER HERE. THIS WRETCH IS MINE," the voice roared, the eyes looking past Desrium with a hatred that would make the most devoted soldier shudder. Desrium was suddenly shot backward, the darkness prevailing even as the eyes disappeared into the distance. As his vision began to fade, a soothing voice entered his mind. "As far as you can..."

Desrium was suddenly back in his physical body, arriving with such force that he was hurled backward into the cave. The entire experience seemed to have occurred outside of time, as it had been mere seconds since he entered the meditative state that he was thrust out of it. Jiier continued to shudder in his sleep, the brilliant gold of the dragon's scales and hair changing into a blinding white, his eyes, though the lids were still shut, were engulfed in an equally bright white light.

The Blood Omen's metal shell crashed against the back wall of the cavern, his spread arms flying into it soon after. Small cracks formed from the points of impact and small chips of rock followed him as he fell from the wall and into the glowing pool of water just below, the ripples spreading across its formerly undisturbed surface well after his entry...

As Desrium's impact with the wall resonated throughout the cave, Jiier was finally roused from his nightmare. With a brilliant flash and what sounded like clashing metal, the energy around Jiier was dispersed. The dragon's head, which was now raised in what seemed like agony, fell back to the ground with a heavy thud, the beast completely out cold...

Desrium settled on his front side at the bottom of the pool, taken by a strange mental numbness. He felt fine, yet the knowledge of what just happened to him was quite disconcerting, even for him. "Well then" He pushed hard against the rock floor, quickly getting himself upright while simultaneously folding his legs. He sank back onto the bottom, once again in a meditative stance, composing himself with the aid of the energies present in the water.

Andruil nodded, looking closely at the wound before rising to his feet. "The wound will need to be cleaned first. Then we'll be able to see the extent of the damage" he said as he reached for the bandages, cutting a small piece free, picking up a small bowl amidst the various medicines and herbs, before heading for the lake, dousing the cloth in the water and filling the bowl halfway with it, before returning, setting the materials down. "This may...sting somewhat. Bare with me" he warned the Dragon as he brought the wet cloth to the eye, making sure to rub along the length of the wound and not across it, to avoid stretching the injury and causing unneeded pain. He was fairly sure whatever dirt was on the wound was likely from the thing that caused it, as the Dragon's head seemed like it rarely would've been in contact with the ground or any other surface. Perhaps, if he was fortunate, this would be easy to fix...

"No being stands once it has been dealt it's fate at the hands of The Council. Be it soon or late, this 'knight' you speak of will be slain. But it appears to me that you keep information from me. Information that may potentially limit the cost in time and lives spent to bring down this abomination. For instance, when would it be vulnerable, as you say? Many Demons of this calibre do not sleep. they do not need to eat, and they are not blind to subterfuge and deceit. If it were so readily vulnerable, your masters would have destroyed it long ago" stated the Vindicator firmly. It appeared this order knew nothing of the concept of metaphors. Or, it had forgotten the very memory it showed him, and failed to see this thing as such a threat as to suit the metaphor he had put forward...

With the sun well beyond the horizon's brim, Septimus looked towards the enormous icy peaks in the distance. The snow-cloaked stony walls of the mountains were amongst the most jagged and steep of any in Aster, the peaks standing high above almost everything else on the continent. A thick cloud swirled around it's upper half, seemingly innocent at this distance. Septimus however knew that cloud formed the first of many lines of defence concealing what lay beyond from the outside world. "Thurduunax?" growled the young Dragon, the Elder turning his head slightly, the unnerving gaze and glowing scars of the ancient falling upon the younger Dragon as Septimus accelerated until he was beside the Elder. "How will we get past the Cloud Barrier? I was exiled. My name and sign have been stricken from the memory of Drakhunmiir's defences" growled the Scholar, enticing a chuckle from the Elder Wyrm. "You worry far too much for your age, Septimus. Be at peace. Let the Elder worry about our entrance. I assure you it will be one our Clan-mates will not soon forget" rumbled Thurduunax with a smirk, which seemed oddly out of place on the ancient's grizzled face...

"Are you a fool? Was it a mistake to come to you? Did you not see how it turned the power of our greatest sorcerers against them? We could not touch the demon or for that matter, kill it!" the golem said abruptly, the officer's voice now rendered almost unrecognizable as it spoke. The illusion in its hand dissolved into a purple flame that rose into the air and disappeared into nothingness. With a much calmer tone, the construct of magic continued, "It isn't naturally in that state. It is much weaker when it doesn't have a source of mana to feed off of and you will know when is vulnerable by the color of its eyes. Red eyes entail its weakest state. The blue... if they are blue then we only pray your fabled archmages are greater than the power it possesses"

"You would do wise not to insult those whom you seek for help. Had you paid attention to that very memory that you showed me, you would know the reason for such questions. The fate that befell your sorcerers is that which will befall ANYONE foolish enough not to inquire in the subject of their quarry. I shall hope that you are more receptive to our inquiries in the future" responded the Vindicator calmly, leaving seriously disappointed as to the knowledge this Order had on the matter....or their assumption that The Council were such fools as to take on a mission unquestioningly. Still, he would take this to his superiors and see what would become of it. Whatever this being was, it was drastically different to the Demons, Archdemons, Wraiths and Revenants they typically executed. He moved forward, taking the reigns of the horse pulling the carriage, before beginning to lead it back to the village...

With the wagon on its way back to its rightful owner, the golem itself continued walking off into the dark night as soon as its restraints wore off, its purpose fulfilled...

Zar cringed, uttering a low hiss, while Aviva rested her chin once more and tried to ignore the uncomfortable feeling of her bones being slowly pulled back into place. The sensation was almost like something was crawling around underneath her scales; it was very disconcerting.

Meanwhile Arsenic was dealing with the similarly unpleasant feeling of the torn muscle in his leg stretching and knitting itself back together. The seeds were helping, but he still had to resist the urge to dig at the area with his nails, busying his hands with taking inventory of how many arrows, adatas, and vials of toxin he still had on him.

once the wound was cleaned, Andruil looked over to Tetto'eko. "Hey Tetto, once your done, think you could close this wound? Last I heard it was troublesome to fly with one eye, and we don't want to cripple our friends' ability to fight in case something comes up" said the man calmly...

Tetto didn't respond with anything more than a single nod, all his attention focused on mending Aviva's ribs at the moment...

Lightning arched out of Akuro's maw and wizzed around the Krayt as it fled, before striking it. Almos tat once, the draconic entity was upon the ground, spasming as it's muscles were paralyzed. Akuro hurried over to it, alittle surprised at how easy that was.

"Nice work, Lord Akuro." A familiar voice wispered through the trees, almos tin tandem with the restling of the leaves. Akuro arched his head up. He knew who this was.

"Come out, Viral. You know you can;t hide from me."Akuro growled. At that moment, a figure dropped down from the trees and landed right next to the paralyzed Krayt. He was completely cothed in a robe, making discerning any features of him impossible, aside from the serpent-like mask he wore on his head, the only thing seeable through it being his golden eyes. Akuro's single eyelocked ont his, and the two looked at each other.

" I saw that Mara was worried about you back at the castle, so I decided to trail behind you and make sure you were alright." Viral repleid, his voice cold, yet firm...

The stalkers caught up with Akuro. However, their attention was turned off of the downed Krayt, and instead focused on the strange being. The masked man readied his hook blade, the brute stalker readied his dual axes, and the others aimed their bows at the being.

"Lord Akuro," the masked man inquired. "Who is this?"
