After a few minutes Desrium dusted the wall with a gauntlet and stepped back, admiring his handiwork. Imprinted upon the wall in shallow, jagged lines were crude symbols used by the long lost civilization, symbols such as shells and fish scale patterning that the Blood Omen was barely able to scratch into the stone. "Gone to Daaven" was what the sloppy inscription read, Desrium regarding it quite fondly.

As Desrium finished his inscription, Jiier reappeared near the mouth of the cave, now wearing what appeared to be a robe made for a dragon. The cloth material covered most of his body, and included a hood that obscured much of his face. Holes were cut into the fabric to accommodate the wings, though it seemed impossible for the dragon to have put the robe on in the first place. The cloth was a pale blue color with an equally dull golden trim. Strangely, despite the dragon possessing large horns on his head, there were no longer visible, above or below the hood. "What do you think?" Jiier growled, only his snout visible from within the hood, while his wings, feet, and the end portion of his tail were visible elsewhere.

"...I do not know" Desrium answered truthfully, not sure what to make of a dragon wearing any type of clothing. Did this mean that Septimus could have had a robe stored away in one of his bags? Or perhaps even, a full suit as he had seen some humans wear? Pulling himself from his thoughts, Desrium put down his makeshift chisel, about to pick up the jar of honey when he remembered his now empty sheath. Without a sword to carry, it would have no purpose on the trip. With a quiet sigh, Desrium reached over his shoulder to remove the case for his weapon from his back. It disengaged and smoothly slid up and out of position, allowing Desrium to lay it down with the books. He then picked up the honey and lifted the lid from the jar, wanting to leave the cave remembering something good. "Would you like some?" he offered to Jiier.

"No thanks. Not my idea of a good meal," Jiier responded as he retrieved his staff. Shoving the weapon up the sleeve of his front limb, the weapon seemed to disappear within the robe, presumably to be called upon later. "I think it would be best if you wore a robe too," the dragon commented, looking back at the still-exposed chest with a frown.

Desrium looked back to Jiier after downing a large mouthful of honey, saying nothing at first. He closed the jar, put it back in its place then looked himself, looking to his gauntlets, down his height and to his sabatons. "I see your point. Many do not find myself...appealing to be around" Desrium said, failing to mention the reason why the Zuppolandian king called him the Blood Omen. Assuming the clearly magical properties of the robe would adapt to him, the armored being walked over to the chest, finding the spare robe and fighting with it to put it on, his lack of experience with fabric evident in a short fit of movement. It did not take long for him to get the pale blue robe to fit over him however, his ornate helm fin and shoulder spikes rounded off underneath the cloak.

As Desrium retrieved the robe, Jiier quickly shut the chest again, almost defensively. "A valuable life lesson, Desrium," the dragon began. "Do not touch a dragon's hoard," he concluded, pushing the chest back further into the room with his tail, before bringing the stone wall back into place once it was safely inside.

"Hoard. Understood" Desrium said, watching as the container was put back into place and seamlessly covered. He then turned around and walked over to Jiier's side once more, stumbling a few times as he was still not used to the clothing that stopped just past ankle height. Only a small portion of his sabatons were visible when he attempted to walk, by the time he reached his destination and stood still the robe obscured them completely.

"Lets get going, then," Jiier growled with a soft sigh, sad to be leaving both his home and his treasures behind. The dragon crouched down, making it easier for Desrium to get on his back. He assumed Desrium already took care of the message to Septimus, spotting the scribbled writing on the wall, though he did not recognize the language, and could only hope Septimus could read it.

Desrium climbed onto Jiier's back, minding the robe as he walked so he wouldn't stumble or fall off halfway up. Upon securing himself on the shape-shifter's shoulders, he said "Daaven awaits"

"Wh....how.....what are you doing here?" stuttered Krognar as he eyed the Elder before him, Thurduunax's expression solid as stone, unchanging. "I have come...because news has reached me of a Dragon in your midst. Arashi. He has commited crimes against his Clan....against the Hueilin...and he must be punished" rumbled the Elder calmly, the crowd of Dragons around him looking between themselves as whispers spread bearing Arashi's name. "We drove him out several weeks ago. It was discovered he was plotting to abolish the Clan Leadership and become the sole leader of all Hueilin....He claimed the lives of two of the Elders as he was driven out, but in the end, we managed it" responded Dunaakh, another of the older Dragons amongst the Hueilin, Thurduunax's eyes reading the Dragon's form. He seemed to be about 6000, maybe 6500 years old. his armour was large and rocky, but he carried a horrific electrical scar that completely mutilated his right side; a glancing blow from Arashi as he was driven out. Thurduunax growled irritatedly as he glanced across at the edge of the valley, towards the borders of Drakhunmiir. Had he only known sooner...

Septimus stood beside his mother, watching silently, surprised to hear that Arashi had been driven out, but shocked at the sight of what had happened to Dunaakh. The rocky Dragon had always seemed invincible. To think it could have been worse...that two Elders had died to Arashi's fury...it filled Septimus' heart with dread. He glanced at his mother, and she nodded. She understood...

"Tell me...Who leads Clan Khulruud now?" rumbled Thurduunax. In response, Krognar stepped forward, as a snarl across from him rang out, and another one to the side, as two more Dragons stepped forward. Dunaakh and Stukhniir, the latter younger than Krognar, but powerfully built and likely impressive. Thurduunax simply laughed. "Seems my Clan are still as predictable as ever" he growled as he spread his wings widely, flowing waves of gold pouring through the membranes, making them shimmer brightly. "What is your name? Only yours. I have no interest in your lineage, I can see it in your scales" he growled as he eyed Stukhniir, who stepped forward. "Stukhniir" growled the Dragon calmly. "Strike me, Stukhniir. If you believe yourself a worthy Leader, Guardian and Defender to Clan Khulruud, strike me down" rumbled Thurduunax. Stukhniir stepped back, putting some space between himself and Thurduunax as golden energy swirled around the Dragon's arms as he reared up, eyes flaring as he swung his arms forward, a white hot wall of flames colliding with Thurduunax, engulfing the Elder in a writhing cloak of fire, much to the surprise of everyone there, Septimus' eyes widening in shock, fearing for the Elder...

...until the wall of energy collapsed on itself, transforming into a swirling, twisting, white hot orb, resembling a miniature sun, floating on the tips of Thurduunax's claws as he eyed Stukhniir with a smile. "Quaint" growled the Elder, seeming to toy with the orb for a few minutes, letting it roll along his claws, before firing it back at the challenger, the explosion blowing the Dragon off the platform, a billowing trail of smoke in his wake. The Dragons around them stood, some voicing their shock as they watched in awe at the ferocity of the Elder's test. It was a few seconds of silence before the thumping of wings could be heard, Stukhniir soaring back upwards and arching round, gliding down to the platform, smoke still trailing from his singed scales, the majority of the attack having been blocked by a psychic barrier. "What else have you for me, Stukhniir?" he growled, the young Dragon disheartened at the sight of how easily one of his most lethal weapons was deflected and turned on him. Still, he wasn't going to give up to this relic so soon. eyes flaring, electricity leapt across his form, swirling around his claws and horns as the Dragon muttered nearly silently, a bolt of lightning striking the Dragon, arcing around his form as he unleashed the bolt, along with his own, at Thurduunax, the bolt splashing against a psychic barrier as the Elder slammed a foot against the ground, cracks appearing as he brought his arms forward, the bolt's crackling tendrils focusing as they curled into themselves, morphing into yet another orb before the Elder, before shooting back up into the clouds, a boom being heard as arcs of electricity rolled along the visible surface of the cloud, forming a spider web of light in every direction before fading, Thurduunax chuckling as he saw the younger Dragon pant, exhausted with the effort. "Hmm...That wasn't entirely pathetic...but You wouldn't last a minute if this were a real fight. You may well have been killed had I done to you with that what I did with your previous attack" rumbled the Elder. standing down, Stukhniir slunk back into the crowd, Dunaakh and Krognar watching, caught somewhere between amusement and shock. Stukhniir had always had something of an ego and it was good to have it so thoroughly flattened. At the same time however, they were impressed with his power. "Dunaakh.....step forward" rumbled Thurduunax calmly...

"That's assuming there was enough left of your throat at the time for you to swallow it, and that you didn't get driven mad by the pain of having a wound like that stitch itself back together" answered Andruil half-jokingly as he eyed the elf. He would make a mental note to find an alchemist when he reached the Dwarves, and see if he could duplicate it, or if he had any available on hand. As he got up, a thought occured to him, his eyes falling on a flower growing at the base of the tree Furax was sleeping against. plucking it, he made his way over to Where Vix was resting, the man sitting down as he dangled the light blue and pink rose just over her nose...

"Where, exactly, is this 'Daaven'?" Jiier asked as he strode out onto the outcropping. He had never heard of the settlement in question before, and obviously they could not depart until he knew where to go...

"I do not possess a map. I only know the city is in a valley to the," Desrium stopped to sort out his heading. "East of here" he said after making a quick assessment of Septimus' flight. The sun set beyond the jungle last night, meaning the Hueilin had flown west from Aster's eastern coast. "It is surrounded by mountains on both sides and a forest grows around it" he went on to say as he reached into the robe and pulled out the compass, letting it hang just over it.

Jeez, what happened to you? Sleep on a rock or something? Mordecai's voice chirped in Nitsunobue's head, the tiny dragon perching on one of his horns and staring at his comparatively distant wound...

The robed figure vanished into a side alley as the sun steadily rose, surprisingly discrete. He didn't want to ruin his surprise, after all...

"I have a feeling this will take longer than we both think," Jiier growled with a sigh, leaping off with the outcropping with one swift motion, wings carrying him across the canyon. Before reaching the other side, the dragon swerved up at an angle, soaring up and out of the fissure, heading in the direction Desrium had indicated.

Nitsunobue locked his eyes on the comparatively miniscule dragon on his horn. Suddenyl, his deep, growling voice entered Mordecai's mind, not wanting anyone else to hear their conversation.

"I am unsure, to be honest.... i believe it is from when the hell hound struck me with its tongue."

Nitsunobue paused.

At the call of his name, Dunaakh stepped forward. He held none of the excessive self-confidence that Stukhniir had, instead eyeing the Elder's form. As Dunaakh prepared himself, Thurduunax smiled. This one showed some promise. Eyes narrowing, the scarred Dragon dug his claws into the rocky ground below as he spread his wings, beginning to kick up a powerful gust as bluish wisps of energy flowed from the runes on his upper torso, the gust morphing into a small storm above him, chunks of ice forming within, some as large as carriages, others the size of some of the younger Hueilin themselves, swirling in the midst of the small, controlled tornado. Growling, Dunaakh beat his wings forwards, the storm's payload of ice raining down on the Elder, the first hitting him, exploding into a wave of ice that spread from Thurduunax's chest to his shoulders, the others twisting round him and swerving upwards, twisting round as Thurduunax's eyes flared with whitish purple light, the massive chunks of ice hurtling towards Dunaakh, the younger Dragon's intact eye widening slightly, having not expected Thurduunax to redirect almost all of them, dark purple wisps of energy flowing across his arms as he fired a bolt at the closest of the ice shards, which exploded violently, the detonation setting off the others, the frost raining down onto the platform. "That was impressive. Against an opponent of your own calibre you'd do well. Provided you could sustain that level of strength. However, it's not surprising to see how you failed to stop Arashi. Bringing storms against one so famously called the Stormweaver was an unwise move" stated Thurduunax, as a bolt of black energy shot forward, colliding with his chest in a massive explosion of light, as the jagged edge on one side of the platform was obliterated, leaving a crater. Thurduunax chuckled. "Distracting your opponent from the real threat. Clever. You have the makings of your Great Grandfather, Vuradviig. He would have been proud. Perhaps some hope remains in this Clan afterall" growled the Elder. Dunaakh bowed respectfully, before stepping back, the crowd of Dragons letting their collective gaze fall upon Krognar; the most outspoken of the Clan for the role of Leader.

The armoured Dragon stepped forward reluctantly, eyeing Thurduunax warily. The Elder was rather large by comparison, but not vastly so. Unlike Dunaakh and Stukhniir, he was more physically adept than magically. Though it was obvious from the Elder's change in posture that he knew that. his stance had changed into that befitting a lion before a confrontation. Krognar growled lowly, suddenly leaping at the Elder, talons outstretched, as Thurduunax reared up, catching the armoured Hueilin with one clawed hand, before bringing it down over his head, driving Krognar face first into the platform with a loud rattling scrape as the armoured Dragon's chin smashed into and skidded along the platform's floor, Thurduunax closing his talons around Krognar's horns, swinging him to the side as he let go, the Dragon tumbling a few feet away before rolling onto his feet, beating his wings experimentally, ensuring they were intact, before taking to the air. Thurduunax smiled as he looked up, beating his own powerful wings, a hot gust of wind coming from the shimmering membranes. "Now you're on the right track!" boomed the Elder as he leapt, taking to the air with surprising speed for his size, Krognar diving at him as he unleashed a plume of flames, twisting to one side after using it to obstruct Thurduunax's vision, slamming into the Elder's shoulder with his claws, tearing into the Elder's scales as he shot past, Thurduunax snarling as he twisted to face the attacker, a whitish blue fireball rocketing towards Krognar so fast he barely had time to turn and glance at the Elder before it hit. The smaller Dragon was engulfed in a massive explosion of flames as Thurduunax shot through it, tackling Krognar with the very shoulder he had tried to injure, a loud crack being heard as the Armoured Dragon fell from the sky like a stone, dazed from the blow as Thurduunax circled round, streams of flame spilling from his nostrils as he looked down at the plummeting Dragon, diving at him with his arms outstretched, to pluck him from the sky before he hit the cliffs. As he closed in, Krognar twisted, hitting the Elder with his clubbed tail, a stream of flame spilling onto the Elder's form as Krognar kicked off the Elder's upper torso and flew off towards the platform. Thurduunax was quick to recover, the loud thump of his wings all that was heard before he slammed into the reacting Dragon, sending him, along with himself, plummeting towards the platform in a spiralling dive, claws and jaws clashing violently before they broke off as they reached the ground, Thurduunax rising with a powerful thump of his tattered wings, which were now engulfed in flames, the Elder's fin and the gaps between each segment of his jagged horns and scales in similar condition, the Elder a terrifying sight to behold as he looked down at Krognar, who circled round, descending to the platform, landing in a crouch, panting, lowering his head, conceding to the Elder, Thurduunax descending slowly, landing on the platform with a thump as the flames across his body extinguished themselves, the Elder looking down with a smile. "An impressive performance, Krognar. In fact, better than Dunaakh, if only for the fact you were more persistent. You and he would do well for this Clan if you worked side by side in leadership" rumbled Thurduunax, the panting Dragon before him rising slowly, spitting a glob of blood and saliva onto the ground as he looked up at the Elder. Thurduunax's gaze narrowed as he glanced over at Tanwen and Septimus, both of whom, like most of those around him at this point, were more than a bit intimidated by the Elder's power. "For now you both have much to learn about leadership. Until that time comes, I will take charge of Clan Khulruud and train you in the ways of your ancestors. For now however, it is time we assembled the other Clan Leaders. Dunaakh and Krognar, you two are to inform them. I will be waiting in the centre of the Valley, at the foot of the Black Spire" rumbled the Elder as he turned, heading down into the valley, as Dunaakh and Krognar spoke over their own duties, the rest of the Clan discussing what had unfolded eagerly...

Nitsunobue decided that Mordecai was right, and perhaps it was better to get in checked out. The massive wyvern stomped his over to Tetto'eko, hoping to get the wound checked out...

Mordecai remained on his unconventional perch, watching Tetto'eko curiously. The Skink didn't seem to respond to Nitsunobue's approach. Uh, I think he's asleep...

Arsenic watched for a moment, a faint smile touching his features before he turned back to the lake. Just because the others were starting to wake didn't mean he could let his guard down.

Vix, curled against Aviva's warm flank, began to stir and stretch a bit. She'd started to turn over, to better stretch out, when something soft brushed her nose, the unexpected sensation startling her into alertness. That....wasn't a dragon's hide, nor was it her hair, which was still tied back. Green eyes opened and blinked rapidly, a puzzled frown crossing the elf woman's expression as she tried to bring the object into better focus.
