The incoming fleet of ships had been spotted as soon as they entered GDA-controlled space, and the largest ship was sent a hailing message, asking for the fleet's intentions...
The Collectors fell back slightly, still barraging the distant Super Battle Droids. They hadn't expected TGDA hardware in use by the primitive Saurians, but it didn't matter. Unless they had anti-air cannons, they had no way of bringing down the Collector ship, and therefore had no way of stopping the aliens from kidnapping their brethren...
After several minutes of a seemingly endless barrage, Grievous finally slowed, stepping backwards for a moment, as if disoriented. The Collector took the opportunity, and leaped forward with a vicious stab straight at Grievous' armored torso--and his vulnerable gutsac. Of course, that was exactly what Grievous wanted. Immediately "recovering" from his feint, the cyborg lunged forward as well, slashing upward and sending the Collector's Lightsaber flying out of its hand and into the air. As the saber fell back down, Grievous gave the Collector a vicious slash with both of his blades across the creature's chest. Its Barrier blocked most of the blow, but also spun the flatfooted alien around, just in time for Grievous to catch the third Lightsaber with one of his extra arms and brutally stab the Collector in the back, piercing its armored exoskeleton with ease.
The Collector stiffened, staring down at the green energy blade poking through its chest, then twisted its head enough to stare Grievous in the eye. "This changes nothing. Kill one, and a thousand more will replace it." Grievous narrowed his eyes. "We shall see about that." Pulling the Lightsaber out, Grievous slashed the Collector across the back with all three blades. The Collector's body, instead of being eviscerated, simply disintegrated into ashes, which gently settled to the warehouse floor, leaving no evidence of the creature behind...
