The Husk stream eventually thinned and stopped, but the Praetorian moved inexorably forward, arrows bouncing off its Barrier. The flying tank screeched when it spotted several grounded Saurians, vaporizing them with its eye-mounted particle rays, before moving in closer to finish off any stragglers with its pointed limbs...

The saurians in the trees fired their arrows at the beastly war machine, but their weapons seemed to have no affect on its massive body. One of its legs impales a hapless saurin on the ground, the reptilian being bleeding out in a matter of seconds as the blade-like appendage ripped through his torso....

Suddenly, a flurry of plasma bolts ripped through the jungle shrubbery, beating against the mechanical monster's shielding and armor. The droids had arrived.

The Praetorian screeched again as the hail of blaster bolts pounded its Barrier. Unperturbed, the monstrosity hovered towards the column of Super Battle Droids, firing its particle rays repeatedly to take down the droids, one at a time...

The powerful droids fell one at a time to the onslaught from the enemy war machine, but their sheer firepower and numerical advantage tore through its powerful barrier with little trouble. The brutish war machines then began to wail away at its equally powerful armor, slowly but surely destroying the massive mechanical monstrosity...

The saurians that survived the skirmish form earleir began to fall back, seeing as there was little they could do...

The Praetorian, after taking heavy damage to its armor, began to glow with a purple sheen, before suddenly slamming in the ground, blaster bolts bouncing off its form, then let out a hideous shriek. Pulses of energy shot from around, sending nearby droids flying. Soon enough, it took off again, Barrier replenished and ready to continue the fight...

A few of Super Battle droids were knocked back, but the platoon still pressed its assault. The blasters continued to ruthlessly pelt the leviathan mech with brutal results. If the mech did not retreat, it risked being destroyed, as its shield's energy was once again dwindling to dangerous levels, and its badly wounded chassis meant it wouldn't be able to take too many more hits...

The Praetorian continued its assault, heedless of the damage. Its Barrier dropped a second time, but before it could use another Death Choir to recharge it, a well-placed missile from the B2's commander (which had a missile launcher for a left arm, like all commander B2 models) slammed into the corpse-filled gap in the middle of its body. The explosion was sufficient enough to destroy the Praetorian, which almost instantly disintegrated into shimmering blue particles that dispersed into the air...

As soon as the praetorian was destroyed, the super battle droids resumed their march into the village, the lead Saurian commanding them deeper into the village with his super battle droid commander by his side...

As the Super Battle Droids neared the village again, they were met with another Husk swarm that charged towards them without provocation. This time, however, they had been joined by a pair of sluggish Scions, which seemed content to fire short bursts of gunfire from their assault rifle-like appendages from the rear f the group...

The Commandos' patience was eventually rewarded, when a single Collector soldier emerged from the darkness at the other end of the warehouse, its four eyes glowing brightly, even in the light, cracks across its skin giving off the same yellow glow. Grievous was nowhere to be seen. The possessed Collector strode forward with purpose, stopping in front of the disguised droids and slaves. It looked them over for a moment, then spoke in a deep, mechanical voice. "Humans. Excellent." The droids looked down at the slaves, then 343 spoke. "Why... do you... want... them so... badly?" "That is none of your concern, mercenary." 343 looked towards his squad, then nodded. They raised their rifles and aimed at the Collector. 343's voice quickly converted back to its standard sound. "It is now. You are under arr--" The Commando was cut off when the Collector simply thrust its clawed forward, palm-first, sending the entire squad flying from the sheer power of the Force energy. The hiss of an activating Lightsaber caused the Collector to turn around as Grievous leaped from the catwalk above, slashing down at the alien...

The Collector lifted its arm, and the Lightsaber's blade seemed to stop millimeters away from the creature's skin, blocked by a Force Barrier. Before Grievous could react, the Collector pushed up with its arm, knocking the blade away, before Force Pushing the cyborg into the far wall...

The approaching husks were met with a wall of blaster rounds, tearing through the husk horde at a rapid pace. At the moment, the simple minded machines focused solely on the approaching husks, ignorant to the threat the dual scions posed to them...

A Force Shockwave emanated from one of the Scions, knocking several B2s flying, one after another, like a series of bowling pins. The Husks seemed oblivious to their own casualties, swarming over their dead to get to the enemy, while the Scions continued to launch shockwave blasts from a safe distance...

Even as Grievous staggered to his feet, his dropped Lightsaber floated into the air and hovered over the Collector's outstretched palm, the alien staring impassively at Grievous. "Trandoshan; extensive cybernetic enhancements. Potential wasted." Staring at the Lightsaber for a moment, the Collector added, "It would seem Nazara's destruction delayed us more than expected. You have seen too much. You must be dealt with." Grievous pulled out two Lightsabers and activated them, glaring past the glow of the blades. "I would certainly like to see you try and stop me, Collector scum..."

The droids quickly got to their feet, those too slow to do so quickly getting mauled by the husks. Realizing the threat of the scions now, the Super Battle Drodis spread out a bit, still firing at the husks with their wrist blasters whiel donig so. Other B2s focused their fire on the scions now, soem even firing wrist rockets at the large foes...

The rockets did far more damage than the measly blaster bolts to the well-armored Scions, but it would take multiple ones to effectively down one. Until then, they continued to fire, their shockwaves doing devastating damage to the droid ranks...

The Collector clutched the Lightsaber it had captured, activating it as well, before lowering it into a casual, battle-ready position. Grievous and the Collector circled each other carefully, each fighter waiting for an opening from his opponent...

The Super Battle Droids spread out some more, their numbers slowly but steadly shrinking. One half focused on the scions, firing rockets constantly, while the other half fired upon the husks with their wrist blasters...

Off on a distant planet, the whirs of change fill the air, as the mechanical legions of Haudspes roar to life...

The Scions eventually toppled, their sacklike backs exploding like foul balloons. The Husk horde thinned, and there was a delay between waves of the creatures...

Grievous, naturally, struck first. Leaping forward, he went with a simple, but brutally powerful, overhand slash with both sabers. Amazingly, the Collector not only parried the blow, but knocked it aside with little effort whatsoever. The cyborg staggered back, as his opponent raised the Lightsaber like a fencing blade, ready to parry his next move. Clearly, this fight would be harder than expected...

As the scions died and the horde thinned out, the Super Battle Droids continued their forward march, intent on fighting mroe of the collectors. Some of the B2s watched the flanks to watch for potential ambushes by random husks....

Suddenly, particle beams lanced out from the village perimeter, burning through the armor of the frontmost Supers and wrecking them with extreme precision. The Collector Assassins, hidden in the buildings of the village, fired concentrated bursts of energy over and over, intent on cutting down the incoming droids one by one...

As Grievous leaped forward again, he pressed his attack, his twin blades becoming a blur of color as he barraged the Collector with blow after blow. Still, his opponent simply batted each one aside, staying strictly on the defensive. Waiting for an opening, like a patient fencer...

The Super Battle Droids spread out, their forces thinning from the distant barrage, as the commander fired a rocket from his arm-welded weapon, destroying one of the saurian structures. The super Battle drodis began to march into the village, firing their blaster rounds into the rather flammable structures and lighting them ablaze....

Near Geonosis, something large was attempting to enter TGDA airspace. It was large and disk-shaped, with a bright emerald rim surrounding its outer edges. Numerous other ships surroudned the massive ship, considerably smaller but far more numerous, numbering in at over 1,000. Whatever the ships' intentions were, they certainly were not friendly.....

The incoming fleet of ships had been spotted as soon as they entered GDA-controlled space, and the largest ship was sent a hailing message, asking for the fleet's intentions...

The Collectors fell back slightly, still barraging the distant Super Battle Droids. They hadn't expected TGDA hardware in use by the primitive Saurians, but it didn't matter. Unless they had anti-air cannons, they had no way of bringing down the Collector ship, and therefore had no way of stopping the aliens from kidnapping their brethren...

After several minutes of a seemingly endless barrage, Grievous finally slowed, stepping backwards for a moment, as if disoriented. The Collector took the opportunity, and leaped forward with a vicious stab straight at Grievous' armored torso--and his vulnerable gutsac. Of course, that was exactly what Grievous wanted. Immediately "recovering" from his feint, the cyborg lunged forward as well, slashing upward and sending the Collector's Lightsaber flying out of its hand and into the air. As the saber fell back down, Grievous gave the Collector a vicious slash with both of his blades across the creature's chest. Its Barrier blocked most of the blow, but also spun the flatfooted alien around, just in time for Grievous to catch the third Lightsaber with one of his extra arms and brutally stab the Collector in the back, piercing its armored exoskeleton with ease.

The Collector stiffened, staring down at the green energy blade poking through its chest, then twisted its head enough to stare Grievous in the eye. "This changes nothing. Kill one, and a thousand more will replace it." Grievous narrowed his eyes. "We shall see about that." Pulling the Lightsaber out, Grievous slashed the Collector across the back with all three blades. The Collector's body, instead of being eviscerated, simply disintegrated into ashes, which gently settled to the warehouse floor, leaving no evidence of the creature behind...

The mothership replied with a disturbing yet simple message:

"War."

With that, the massive fleet continued its march, the smaller ships, while seemingly tiny, actually were carriers for drones, while the Mothership, easiyl the size of an asteroid or a moon, or maybe even a small planet, carried most of the heavier machines and the main army....

Despite having no AA guns, the super battle droids loaned out by the TGDA quickly cleaned up the village. Even if they were unable to save the inhabitants of this village, they had stopped a sizable force from threatening other regions, or, at worst, killed a decent number of enemy soldiers in the process..... albeit few compared to a massive empire.
