"As simple as riding a Terradon, I'm sure," Tetto'eko replied matter-of-factly. Mordecai, perched safely on the Skink's shoulder, nodded sagely, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world...

"Exhilarating. Much more so than riding a horse. It's probably the closest any of us will ever get to having wings of our own" said Andruil with a smile, remembering the last time he rode a Gryphon, in the early days of the revolution. "A word of advice however...Gryphons and Hippogriffs are proud creatures. Regardless of how dim you may believe them to be, do NOT berate or disrespect them. They have a knack for comprehending just enough to get the jist of it. Perhaps it's mind reading, perhaps its genuine understanding, perhaps they pick up your feelings and figure it out that way. But regardless of how, point is they can understand you. A friend of mine lost his arm for calling a Hippogriff an 'overgrown feather-brained beast'. Suffice to say, he's never dared say anything in the presence of Gryphons or Hippogriffs since" he added as he looked toward Vix...

With Arashi having left, Guame and Djinn, having decided to wait until later to ask Byakuren what questions they had for her, continued on interrogating Smaug. Eventually, they had managed to get the information they wanted out of him; apparently, he had been resting the day before when he noticed that his golden goblet was missing. While a dragon's gold may be usless to him other than for greed, a dragon knows every ounce of his horde, and if even one bit of it's gone, then he'll scour the entire area for it, which is precisely what Smaug had done. He had searched all morning for it, but oddly enough, there had been no scent of an intruder, so after a few hours, he had gotten back to sleep, while keeping one eye open incase the intruder came again. He would never forget or forgive the thief that took his treasure. ARound noon, he recieved word from the one person he trusted that she knew who had taken the goblet, and where the thief was, and sure enough, now it was twirling in the hands of Djinn.

"So the person who told you of where the goblet was... was the same person that convinced me to not kill you before?" Byakuren asked the dragon, who snorted in response.

" Indeed. She is the only soul other than mine that I trust. Never has she done me wrong in the last 15 years. Though, it was odd that she visited me the day after that 7-tailed fox stopped by..."

"Wait, a 7-tailed fox?" Guame suddenly asked, his intrest aroused. "Did it have black fur, and a single eye?" Now he had a sinking suspicion he knew who was behind this.

To this Smaug only nodded, not even glancing at the clamp which now lay down on the ground.

Discord had decided to stick around and listen in. It seemed that chaos was a surplus around here, and intended to savor every minute of it. Hovering over Smaug's head, he chuckled. "A Kitsune, eh? Haven't seen one of those around here since... well, since I was imprisoned, I suppose. And you didn't even suspect a Demon to pull a stunt like that? Ha!" Perching once more on Smaug's head, Discord stroked his beard thoughtfully. "Though, I'd think a Demon of such prestige would be more inclined to larger and more daring plots than stealing from a dragon's hoard and placing the blame on someone else. Quite amateurish, if I do say so myself."

Vix winced. "Ouch...well, then it's a good thing I've never had the urge to insult their kind," she said. "Does that ah, understanding extend to a rider's possible slight fear of heights?" She looked down as she voiced the question, fiddling with the end of her braid.

Nitsunobue decided to explore the dwarven city a bit, taking in the majesty of it all. Really, it was something unique to the savage and originally feral wyvern, seeing massive structures, a towering fortress of stone, and literally hundreds of small, very hairy humanoids. He felt like a child in a gift shop. Nitsunobue's curiousity reached his peak, as he lumbered deeepr into the city, eyes peeled for any interesting activity....

The city of Draxon was relatively peaceful, with little activity going on... but they were unaware of the evil lurking within, and just without, their own capitol city....

"Likely. How they react to it really depends on the Gryphon. Some like to tease their masters in my experience" said Andruil as they reached the stables. "Of course, you could always ride with me. I'd be sure to keep you firmly in the saddle" he added with a wry smirk, the Knight taking note of the Wyvern walking through the entrance towards the inner city. It's their problem now he thought. As far as he knew, that Wyvern wasn't an adept flier. If he was lucky, he and his comrades wouldn't have to worry about it's teetering state of sanity once they had gone out the gates...

The Dwarves did not take kindly to an enormous brute of a wyvern trudging its way into their city. the civilians were cutting off its path, armed with everything from swords and war-axes to brooms and large knives. The City Guards were soon at the scene, numerous heavy crossbows aimed through well defended windows along hallways overlooking the streets, their target being the Wyvern, should it fail to back off. They had tolerated it sitting outside the gates, but now that it was intruding in their city, their patience was beginning to wear thin...

As Arashi closed in on the city, he lowered his altitude, accelerating his flight tremendously, the Dragon soaring over the city at a pace that most would consider impossible for a Dragon with that physical build. Still, with the wind at his disposal, flight was a simple matter...

Nitsunobe held back his primal urges, feeling his instincts attempting to kick in and assault the puny creatures. Their weapons would do little to him anyways, but Nitsunobue viewed himself as above pointless bloodshed. Were these beings not supposedly on the elves' side? Had he been too naive, and stupid, for assuming that they would accept a gargantuan, burrowing wyvern from a time long forgotten wander into their city without any possible consequences? Nitsunobue sighed aloud, and began to back his way out of the city, speaking as best he could out of his mouth.

"I no mean trouble, dwarves... I just want to explore and meet friends...."

"That is your decision. I wouldn't mind your company, and I'd like to think Desrium wouldn't either," Jiier explained, glancing at the city that surrounded them.

"I would not. If we fail in our endeavor I would prefer knowing where my allies are as the land turns to dust" Desrium said with unwavering aloofness to the dire situation.

Septimus nodded to the two, seemingly unperturbed by Desrium's morbid view of the situation. He had learned to expect it over the few days he had known the Blood Omen. "Very well then. I suppose we'd best be off, no?" he growled as he looked between the simian and the armoured being...

"Friends? righ'. Last Dragon to look for 'friends' in our city ended up slaughtering over a hundred of mah kinsdwarves before we brought it down. The bloody 'ell I'll let you walk into our city lookin' for friends" said the Captain of the Guard, a burly Dwarf armed with a bronze battleaxe, adorned with pieces of steel armour, the chestplate of it etched with an image of a large-maned Dwarf carrying a battleaxe and fighting a serpentine dragon...

"I'm sure you would," Vix replied, adding on a joking note, "But your rebellious hands wouldn't be likely to behave themselves if I did, am I right?"

Arsenic stroked his hand down the side of Aviva's neck, murmuring, 'It's time to go.' Aviva gave a nod and turned to Zar, nuzzling him affectionately. "I'll see you soon," she promised. "Safe journey." She paused, as if there were more she would like to say, but gave a tiny shake of the head. Zar took a pace back, to give her room to spread her wings. "Be careful, love," he growled. Arsenic hoisted himself onto her back, settling in his usual place, and with a forward bound and a few powerful wing beats, the black dragoness was airborne.

Zar watched her go, hearing a familiar threat ring in his ears once more. If you dare to touch what is mine, I'll rip you open and leave the rest to the birds. He had no doubt that Ren had meant every word - but his only concern was for Aviva. She was the future Matris, poised to take over the clan....but, if Ren decided that Zar's death wasn't enough....if he turned on Aviva.... The red dragon clenched his jaw.

Only once before, the future leader lost her mate before they had a child to pass their legacy on to. Extraxl mated for life - the young Matris had been so distraught that she refused to see any suitors, refused to even think of taking another mate. Luckily, the previous leaders had still been alive...and had resumed their leadership, until their daughter calmed down enough to finally accept that her partner had been killed. But what would happen...if Aviva were killed? She was Ruuva and Nex's only child. I won't let it happen, Zar thought. Ren might kill me when we meet again...but even if I die, I'll take that cold-blooded snakeheart with me. he'll never touch Aviva.

"I can make them behave...when I want to" said Andruil jokingly, an amusingly wolfish grin on his face as he said it...

"And let me guess, you hardly ever want to?" Vix teased lightly, aiming a mental shrug at the skink and choosing not to respond to his comment.

"Please, you sound like my grandmother....difference is she was a raging hypocrite" he said as he eyed Tetto for a moment, before returning to his conversation with Vix, chuckling. "My dear, I'm never given a reason to. Everyone knows no means yes" responded Andruil with a sly smirk...
