Elias continued to go toward to sound of water as night began to set in . He sighed softly as he finally reached a small stream of fresh water , he set his fox down and bent down to get a drink of water , He placed his hands together forming a cup with them and took a drink of the cold water and splashing some on his face , it felt refreshing as it washed some of the dirt off his face . He looked back at the dead fox that was to be his meal and sighed " i still need to find away to cook that" he said as he began to look around the area for something that could be used to make a small fire . He looked around coming up with twigs , leaves and under brush from around the surrounding forest , and placed them in a small area he could use as a fire pit . He began rubbing two sticks together hoping the friction would cause them to smoke and hopefully burn .

Something in the back of Vix's mind, having lain dormant since the archdemon had destroyed half of her home, stirred. It lifted its head and sniffed, baring sharp teeth. Though Vix herself had no way of knowing it, the sudden irrational urge to growl came from this part of her, still partially locked away. Her expression hardened as she took in the growing darkness, and she murmured, "Let's hope we have the strength to end it relatively quickly..."

As Aviva landed, Arsenic jumped from the tired dragoness's back with practiced ease. Aviva turned her head, growling uneasily, "There's a storm coming, young one...I hope you and your friends are prepared to face it." Arsenic stood at her shoulder, his hand resting against her smooth scales, and replied, 'I hope so too, Aviva...you should rest now, my friend. You deserve it.' Aviva dipped her head to gaze at him on eye level. "Zar and I cannot ask our friends and family to help you fight this battle without leaving you," she growled softly, her tone serious. "I pray you and I will be strong enough when the time comes." With that, she padded off towards the field that bordered the village, and the pond in the center of it, for a much-needed drink.

Elias Continued to cause friction until he saw a small amount of smoke coming from the sticks . He began to blow on them until the stick began to burn . He began to blow and then placed the burning stick into the pile of sticks , leaves , and under brush. He watched as a small fire began to burn . He reached into his shirt removing his dagger and placed it next to him as he reached over to the dead fox bring it next to him . " time for the dirty work " he whispered softly as he removed his dagger from its sheath . The blade looked old used and was dulled and chipped , He began to skin and gut the dead animal so it could be cooked . He grabbed his other stick and placed the small fox onto it and placed it over the fire . He took the what was remaining of the fox and walked it into the forest as his body weak from hunger , thirst and lack of sleep .Elias bent down and began digging a hole with his hands slowly , rubbing his eyes every so often trying to stay awake . His body trembled as he placed the remains of the fox into the freshly dug hole and buried them . He stood up and began his walk back to the small clearing where he found the stream .
Elias walked back to the stream and washed the blood off his hands , as if he was trying to wash away his sins of his past . He took his hands out of the water and dried them on his pant leg as he stumbled over to the fire . He sat down taking in the heat as he removed his meal now cooked from the flames , he took a small bite and sighed . he looked around his surroundings with his left eye " its official im lost " he said with a sigh as he took another bite as memories for the past flooded his mind as they sometimes did . He remembered the day where his right eye was plunged into darkness from one swing of a sword . His hand reached up to his right eye as he touched the scar trying to forget the past but knew he never could .

Nitsunobue soon realized he was on his own once more. Perhaps it was for the best this way. The horned titan wandered off into the wilderness surrounding the dwarven realms, sniffing his way across the lands in hopes of finding something. He was still in the dark about all the evils and just what exactly he was going to be dealing with. The Archdemon was indeed powerful... but what else was he able to do? What eldritch monstrosities would he gather beneath his banner? Who knew what kind of evils lurked for his friends on their journey?

Nitsunobue knew not what lay ahead, but he knew what he must do: he needed to help his buddies as much as he could. Perhaps there was some hope left in this bleak world... but what could a dumb brute like him do? What could he possibly do to help them at all? Nitsunobue knew not, but he was not about to let this things descend into evil any more than they had to. The wyvern was soon off, powering through the woods, intent on finding his allies once more....

Draxon had fallen relatively silent. Sorrow hung in the air, like a dark cloud had fallen over the city. Evil seemed to have tainted the once holy walls of the Dragon's City, and the streets seemed less lively than ever. The people were tired and weary. They felt somethnig was wrong, but most could not place their fingers on what it was.

But Draco knew.

He watched over his city from atop his palace, eyes glazed over and empty, hardened from his experiences over the past few weeks. He'd seen thigns no man should have ever had to see. He'd seen all he'd built up begin to crumble. He'd seen the greatest evil of his people reawaken. And he'd allied himself was the single most threatening entity in Aster. What had he'd done? And what had his sins gotten his entire people into?....

Gorgoroth had also become much more subtle after the great evil had threatened them. Production had slowed down, and the orcs and trolls seemed exhausted. Lord Burzum rested upon his throne, his mind drifting off into the darkness as he pondered his decisions...

Sharavuras rode hard through the wilderness. His horse panted deeply, and the armored being kept his eyes focused up ahead. He had a goal, and he had his sights on a certain clan of assassins and their village. His lord needed elite killers to.... dispose.... of potential threats. And he was sure they'd do the job.... as long as he paid them off long enough...

By now the village had a palisade surrounding it, as well as two ballista platforms, one on either side of the village. care was taken to avoid damaging the Village's environment, as more plant cover meant better concealment. some of the taller trees were designated for use as natural watch towers. one gate was made for the village to help funnel attacking forces. 3 feet from the top of the palisade, a catwalk of sorts was built for archers. The inn was about two thirds of the way complete, with the framework and walls built in. All that remained was the roofing, and the flooring of the second floor. It was a relatively lightly built structure compared to the original, built to allow reinforcement, expansion and improvement until it was as good as the original, though it was obvious the priority was on providing a place for the Assassins and their protectors to rest. The amount of people in the Village must have almost tripled in the last few days, as now, more than two thirds of the occupants were Valenhadian soldiers and workers, along with several carts loaded with resources. It was obvious that this place was more than a temporary hold. It was a long term investment. As Arsenic arrived, the familiar dark haired soldier that had spoken with him a few days ago approached him. "Ah! Arsenic! Welcome back!" he said with a smile. "I'm relieved to see you returned safely. Things have taken a turn for the worst if that shadow on the horizon is anything to go by" he added, before looking behind him curiously. "Where are the others?"...

"We will. Don't worry. I'm certain factions are already uniting to face the threat. My cousin will see to it that news of the danger is spread wide" said Andruil encouragingly as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders reassuringly, helping her further into the forest, the small clearing in which they had made camp a few days ago appearing before their eyes shortly afterwards. the sleepy, wisping willows stood quietly, their stringy leaves swaying in the breeze almost hypnotically, the peace almost oblivious of the dangers that threatened the continent. Mere days ago, the dangers all seemed distant. No one could have guessed that they were truly so close to their own destruction. Now, the shadow of Aster's potential destroyer swept across the lands, and Andruil could only hope that an alliance would form in time to halt its advance. He knew his duty. He would not give up. He would not bow, and he would die before he saw all that he held dear be annihilated by an unfeeling daemonic wretch...he would see it destroyed...one way or another...

Septimus walked up to the gates calmly, halting as he looked up at the massive doors that seemed more for intimidation than actual use. "Identify yourself, Rider! What is your business here in Inamed-Fidha?" echoed the voice of one of the guards, his form barely discernible above the entrance to the fortified city. "We come as messengers, to warn you of coming dangers" rumbled Septimus, fearing Desrium's excessively blunt social skills could threaten their success. "I did not speak to you, beast. My conversation is with your rider" responded the dark skinned elf firmly, glowing eyes narrowed as they focused on Desrium. "Do not judge too hastily, guard. What we have to say affects the entirety of Aster, and everyone within it, Dragons included. I come as proof that this is not the simple trouble of the mortal races, but of every living creature in Aster. Give us an audience with your rulers, so that they may decide how best to tackle our impending annihilation" echoed Septimus' voice over the ruffling and wailing of the desert wind around them, Septimus closing one eye to block a wisp of dust from hitting it, his open eye focused with fierce intensity on the guard, a purplish tinge seeping into the Dragon's cyan eyes. "Very well, Dragon. You have proven your point. However, should you or your allies dare to cross us, be warned. You will be rent apart, and no honeyed words will save you" warned the elf, as a small gate in the very wall of the doorway opened up, this door in the gate being barely large enough to allow Septimus and Jiier entry. Beyond the gates, no fewer that 20 armed soldiers stood before them, their heads hidden beneath tightly wound turbans, the cloth covering their faces, revealing only their eyes, blue shimmering orbs staring back at them warily. light but sturdy looking armour shielded their bodies, and curved scimitars could be seen at their sides, many of them carrying shields as well. "Identify yourselves, travellers, if you wish to proceed further" stated their commander. "Septimus of the Hueilin Dragons of the North" responded Septimus simply, the commander's gaze shifting to Jiier and Desrium, his eyes lingering on Desrium in particular, discomforted by the dark, forboding aura the being gave off, tempted to have the trio killed on the spot...

"Why so glum, King Draco?" Zazikel's voice hissed, shadowy tendrils materializing around him. "This is what we have been waiting for: the annihilation of all the pitiful fools who would dare deny their rightful masters. Those humans, the rebellious dragons... ELVES..." The Archdemon could easily sense the darkness approaching. He knew what it was by this point, and he knew what to do if he had to. Perhaps he had resigned to his own enslavement, or perhaps he was going to become the most powerful being in all of Aster. But one thing remained clear: he would be the first Demon to truly hold Aster under his sway, even if it was just as a second-in-command to the true power...

Draco's eys locked themselves upon the powerful archdemon.

"True enough, Zazikel," Draco replied flatly. "We will see the enemies of our reign be crushed beneath our might. When shall we strike out?"

Far below the Palace of the Draks, while Immanis had been feeding the menacing drake Formidonis, a little mouse had managed to make its way into the castle. But there was something odd about this mouse.... it had an unnatural scent about it....

"You are distinctly lacking in enthusiasm, Draco," Zazikel hissed, his tone more dangerous this time. "Did I not give you everything you ever wanted? Have your dreams not come true? And when my new benefactor gives me a proper signal, we will accomplish even more than your wildest dreams ever imagined!"

'Good to be back home,' Arsenic replied with a smile. 'The others are on their way back; Aviva and I flew ahead to let you know everything went smoothly. I see things are going well here,' Arsenic commented, taking in the progress. He wasn't sure he liked the idea of his little home becoming home to this many more people, but he supposed he'd have to grin and bear it. 'This is more progress than I expected to see after just a few days...'

Vix inclined her head toward Andruil, acknowledging the reassurance. "It'll be an honor to fight beside anyone who would help send that creature back to whatever part of hell it came from," she said, feeling herself regain some control over her legs after a little while of walking. Her knees were still weaker than she would've liked, but she'd managed to control the worst of her shaking, and her stomach had settled to the point where she could be sure she wouldn't bring her next meal right back up again. Even so, she would be glad of the chance to sit down and relax a bit more.

Desrium's red eyes glowed in the darkness of his hood as he returned the stare to the turbaned elf, his eternal gaze clashing with the commander's blue ones. "I am Desrium" he said impassively to the elf.

Draco forced a smile, though he did genuinely enjoy the idea of crushing those fools and conquering all of aster.

"No need to feel unappreciated, Zazikel. I understand and appreciate your gifts to me and your future gifts to my people. And so, when the time is ripe, we shall destroy the elven scourge, and all who dare threaten us!"

Sharavuras continued his ride, the Castellan heading deeper into the forest, his eyes glancing about for the assassin town...

"Good," Zazikel replied. "And worry not. I have my agents heading to the city of Tristan as we speak. Their Emperor has pledged allegiance to me, and now his armies will be at my beck and call..."

Indeed, as Zazikel spoke, two large figures were descending towards the abode of Emperor Trajan. Two creatures, like a cross between a plucked vulture and a dragon: the Lethrblaka. And on each of their backs was a single, cloaked figure, one shorter than the other...

Draco chuckled.

"Good, good. We will need all the allies we can get for this adventure of ours."

Draco soon thought to himself.

"Soon, I shall fulfill my destiny....."

The mouse soon began to ascend the stairs, hoping to reach Zazikel and Draco...

"My men have grown weary from the seige a week ago, and from the encounter with the armored devil. They have grown unwilling, but I'm sure I'll be able to rile them up a bit."

Suddenly, the small mouse reached the top of the palace, scrambling towards the king and Zazikel.

"Zazikel," The mouse hissed. It was Dhoulmagus in disguise. "I saw an odd occurence earlier here. Care to explain what it was?"

"You will know soon enough," Zazikel's voice hissed in Dhoulmagus's head. Truth be told, he did not know the full extent of the power that was slowly stretching over Aster either, but perhaps it was better that way. "It will not matter, Dhoulmagus. You serve me now, so you will be safe from any harm..."

"You may call me Jiier," the other dragon growled, his tone dangerously serious. Already the air around them was beginning to feel energized. "And I suggest you show us the proper respect," the dragon hissed, glaring at the commander.

A raven fluttered down from above, into the recovering village. Perching atop one of the half-built structures within, the avian creature looked at Arsenic from a distance, its gaze intelligent and familiar.

Dhoulmagus squealed.

"Of course. What shall I do in the meantime before we begin our assault?" the dream eater squeaked.

Draco soon turned to Zazikel.

"Yes. Is there anything to be done in the meantime, Zazikel? Other than preparing my armies?"

Dhoulmagus nodded, before he began to head back down...

Draco turned to Zazikel.

"I shall go rally my soldiers, and ask for more reinforcements from our nothern fortresses. Let us hope this goes well."

Then, Draco followed suite down the stairs...
