Read an article that showed some of the weapons in Halo 4 and among them is a rail gun. It was also mentioned that there won't be any duel wielding in Halo 4.

Have a link to the article, or was it in a magazine?

A rifle that fires a Spike by a series of powerful yet compact magnets set in a line and ring shape or in civilian models by high pressure pneumatic canisters which are violently unsealed. The result: Something akin to getting skewered by a ancient Ballista but much more painful and capable of punching through a tank... yeah I like the sounds of this weapon

Ah, that's all just speculation. The new enemy is probably something completely new and original.

One of my family's cats was accidently run over last night when she got in front of my mom's truck while ,y mom was pulling into the drive way. My parents told me that the cat died quickly and painleslly, though, so I'm at least grateful that she didn't suffer.

Okay, so let me get this straight... My giant, 300 meter long snake's being ionized alive, got multiple puncture wounds all over his body, and had his eye pierced, while doing diddly squat to Damaar.... That's just depressing. Then again, given hundreds of years of rest and not training in combat...

Well, Damaar was hit once or twice [though his extremely poky nature caused one of said hits to be nearly fatal, as you noted]. but you have to take into account size and strength come at the price of speed. and your snake is ridiculously huge. plus, as a result of the way constrictors move in general, at that size the movements are predictable. Damaar, meanwhile, is defined by being a fast and furious fighter. overwhelming force delivered over a very small period of time. can dish out a lot of damage really fast, and if you're not properly equipped, almost impossible to stop before he's done a considerable amount of damage. So yeah, Squama chose the wrong guy to **** with, basically.

He was designed to be almost unbeatable one on one. Sure, it's possible, but unlikely. hell, when **** goes down, odds are Horus is gonna go hunting for allies to help him out. This guy basically destroyed Horus's homeworld; their original home...

Ugh... I should have expected as much... I was invisioning Squama to be, oh I don't know, rather fast in the striking department, but apparently, he's as sluggish as an andaconda of the same size with kaiju-sized bricks wrapped around him...

Anyone got a kaiju hospital for him?

Considering both Kori Kahn (my average kaiju) and Infernus (my melee juggernaut kaiju) got their asses beat BAAAAD by Damaar, and they are pretty fast (though kori's a bit weak on the melee side, while infernus isn't nearly as fast), Squama's only chance against Damaar was rough, as his main advantage was his size, and Damaar seems to be able to use every creature's advantage against'em (Kori was screwed as soon as he touched earth, and Infernus' melee prowess and fiery breath meant nothing against a heat resilient melee lightning bruiser).
