"Traitor? How did he betray your people?" rumbled Septimus, surprised by this revelation...

"He was the mastermind behind a riot within the Temple-City," Tehenhauin explained. "Or so we believe. The details are lost to time; it was over a century ago. Tetto'eko claimed that another being was to blame, but Lord Mazdamundi did not believe him. If there was another responsible, it was not of Aster, and it certainly was not a Demon." Tehenhauin turned to look at the encroaching darkness, fiddling with a dagger he produced from his cloak. The dagger's blade was fashioned after that of a serpent. "He would have been sacrificed, by my hand, no less, to appease the Old Ones, but Mazdamundi showed a rare moment of mercy, and banished him instead. Perhaps he believed Tetto'eko was not really to blame, or that he was a portent of future events in the Great Plan. He was the only one of our spawning to not be blessed by Sotek, so perhaps this is true."

"And none of you have the psychic ability to read his mind? to learn the truth?" rumbled Septimus curiously, surprised that it would be an issue for a race with supposedly impressive magical power...

"We did," Tehenhauin hissed. "And that may be why Lord Mazdamundi chose the judgement he did. The information we tried to find was... muddled. It was unusual. We do not know what happened, but we do know this: something happened to Tetto'eko. He spoke of a being of pure chaos. A creature known as Discord. We had never heard of such a being, and we could find no evidence in Tetto'eko's own mind that he was telling the truth. If this creature was responsible, it did something to his mind in the process. It was difficult to determine whether or not Tetto'eko was truly guilty, especially if he did this of his own free will. So, Lord Mazdamundi chose the only path he could."

"Discord" rumbled Arashi a few feet away, intrigued by the coincidence. "You know that name?" growled Septimus as he shot a glance at his father, whose expression was somewhere between surprise and amusement. "Why yes, I do. In fact, I ran into him yesterday. And before that, come to think of it. Distracted him from the very ones that you left Tetto'eko with, actually. Your friend was not lying, I can tell you that much. Discord is as his name implies. As he put it, 'the very embodiment of chaos'. What you accuse Tetto'eko of doing sounds very much like what Discord would do if he were...lacking for amusement" said the Stormweaver, as his eyes shimmered purple for a moment, the air around him beginning to glow as it swirled before him, taking on colours and shapes, soon creating an almost perfect lookalike of the chimera. Septimus was shocked. His father distracted a being of chaos from his friends? the coincidence was almost painful, but the action seemed very much to contradict what he knew of his father...

"An embodiment of chaos?" Tehenhauin echoed, his face grim. "Such a being is directly at odds with the Great Plan. How could it even exist? It defies nature itself, unless it is not of Aster." The Skink shook his head. "It does not matter anymore. This 'Discord' has not entered Lustria since Tetto'eko's banishment. It is of no concern for now. But you are right, dragon. He is innocent. Perhaps, if he returns to us, he can be welcomed back to Hexoatl and reclaim his rightful place as Astromancer and Head Priest..."

The eagle soared across the heavens, the being havign quite a different aura compared to similar creatures. Other birds of the sky steered clear of the shapeshifted Dhoulmagus, hinting to others that were above that something was wrong with this bird. The eagle continued its flight, eyes glancing down at the great forest as it passed onward into the northern realms....

"Then I hope he visits Lustria soon enough to learn of his acquittal" rumbled Septimus, grateful for the situation's resolution. "I still do not know what it is you wanted with me, though. Unless it was specifically to talk to me of Tetto'eko" he added after a moment, eyeing the skink priest. Arashi meanwhile, had returned to his thoughts and meditations, his eyes closed as the energies that had formed Discord's likeness dissolved, now swirling between the Dragon's opened hands as he sat on his haunches...

"That is a great part of it," Tehenhauin chirped. "You are the first sign we have had of him in nearly a century. It may be a sign of something greater, however. Perhaps you have a significant destiny, dragon. Who can say but the Old Ones themselves." Tehenhauin dipped his head once more. "Now I must go. There is a great battle coming. I must boost the morale of my brothers before it begins. Skinks are loyal, but we are a skittish people by nature. Goodbye, dragon..."

Radamand was once again kneeling before the statuette, praying in complete, stony silence. Jiier gradually awoke from his stupor, such a deep sleep taking quite some time to fully wake up from. The maned dragon got into a more organized position and resisted the urge to go back to sleep several times before finally getting to his feet.

(OOC: I'm gone for just a few hours... and all this happens? Sheesh... )

Byakuren and Dione moved around the archknights, and were heading up to Trajan's quarters to get him, when the Emperor walked down the stairs, having gotten himself dressed as quickly as he could. The three of them headed back down, and seated themselves in the main dining table, before Trajan pointed to the two archknights waiting by the door and told them, "You may enter."

"Just follow me, then." Guame told the shapeshifter, before he leapt down from the roof. He landed inside the courtyard on the top of his staff without a sound...

Within what could have been an old gathering hall during those ages past, Desrium discovered stone slab tables and benches gathering dust. On the walls hung portraits, the canvasses rotted away and the silver frames scratched and extensively rusted, taking on a shade of dark blue rather than gray luster. A few plates- more board made from bark than plate- were scattered around the room, hinting that at one time the chamber was used for dining. The plates themselves were in no better condition, rotted, warped and possibly host to fungus on their undersides.

Desrium left the room and found that the hallway ahead had collapsed upon itself. Rubble made advancing that way impossible, so the armored being started to head back where he came from, walking down the silent corridors.

Tzeentch was beside Guame a split second after he landed, still leaning heavily on her staff, waiting further direction.

The Archknights walked towards the table, nodding to the two women with Trajan, before addressing the Emperor himself, the older of the two Archknights, Paracelsus, pushing down his hood, revealing him to be a man that looked as though he was in his mid 40s, a few streaks of grey in his rich brown, braided hair and moderately sized, straight beard. "We trust you received the letter from his majesty King Sebastian, my lord?" asked Paracelsus, his glowing eyes focused on the Emperor, in spite giving the feeling that he was watching more than just the man...

Septimus nodded to the aged skink, before turning to Arashi as the priest left, the younger Dragon approaching the Stormweaver, who seemed not to notice, though his tail shifted slightly to give Septimus some space beside him, the younger Dragon approaching hesitantly, wary of the older wyrm. "Ah, so you return. Eager to hear more, no doubt. And undoubtedly eager to bury me in your hatred in the process" rumbled Arashi, his eyes still closed, the energy swirling between his clawed hands. "I'm giving you the chance to tell me your reasons. It does not change my feelings towards you, nor my intentions" responded Septimus coldly. "Nor do I expect it to. Still, Cast aside your hateful bias, and listen to my tale with an open mind. There is much for me to tell you, and much to absorb. With your hate towards me, I will not be able to tell you the story in one sitting. I will tell you some, and let you ponder. When you are ready, I will reveal more. Until the story is told. Then, and only then, are you allowed to decide what light I am to be seen in, and what fate I truly deserve. You are no fool. You were not raised one, and you have not grown to be one. I know that you will give the final decision consideration. But until that time, hold your tongue and open your mind and soul to the story I have to tell" responded Arashi, his voice surprisingly quiet, as if not wishing to announce to the world what he had to say, the booming power of the Dragon's voice muffled to little over that of the average human. Septimus listened quietly, interested, though worried. He was both eager to learn what excuse his father could possibly have that would justify what he had done, and fearful that in it would lie manipulative influences that would twist him against what was right. Still, he had to know...

Having seen Thalion stand out of the corner of her eye, Sulrana stepped back from the river's edge, where her re-hydrating drink had turned into a spirited battle with her own reflection. After giving herself a vigorous shake, spraying droplets of water from feathers and fur, she launched off into a light lope back downriver, passing Myrn on her way to Thalion and Andruil. The black and white gryphon rose to her feet, shook bits of grass from her feathers and followed in Sulrana's wake, ruffling and stretching her wings as she came to a stop near the flock, eying Sulrana as the half-kestrel gave out a warbling call to nobody in particular...

Still trying to complete her conquest to explore the entire world, Icil arrived about half of a mile away from what appeared to be the rubble of what was a hallway. She had never been here before. She didn't know what it was like around this place, but that was soon to be changed. Rattlebones had been commanded to land by his succubus master...

The clouds passed above the dream eater's hidden form, the malicious beign scanning the horizon for any sign of the city. Suddenly, Dhoulmagus began to see marshland, in addition to a sudden decrease in forest. Large, amphibious creatures roamed below, hiding udner the surface of the water, and many creature, such as trolls, wolves, and rats, lurked on the outskirts of the swamp, with many venturing in to find their food for their own survival, willing to take the risk of the massive amphibians below. Dhoulmagus smirked, as he saw the majestic city of Tristan lying before him. Good... now, all he had to do was cause a nice, big ruckus, maybe kill some silly guards, torture this "Trajan" in his dreams.... this was gonig to be a blast. But first, he needed to land in the city. Then, the fun would begin...

Radamand stood swiftly, once again storming from the chamber just as Jiier was walking into it. Before the maned dragon could ask, Radamand disappeared down another corridor. In what seemed like seconds, the giant was already passing Desrium, moving swiftly toward the collapsed hallway...

The armored being regarded the Servant of Soel with the usual glance and continued along on his way without a word. Before long he was at the cusp of the chamber, spotting Jiier as he entered. His flaring eyes dimmed considerably at that and he approached the maned dragon. "You seem well" said the Blood Omen.

As the skeletal wyvern's talons gripped the ground below him, Icil pulled out her journal.

She wrote: Found what seems to be an ancient collapsed hallway... I shall explore this new sight of mine.

She climbed off of Rattlebones's spine, sliding slightly down the undead creature's ribs. She put the journal into her bags as she walked towards the destroyed hall.

"Stay, Rattle. I'm going to go take a look at this place, m'kay?" She said to the wyvern as she stroked her fingertips down from the forehead to where the bone on his nose was surrounded by nostrils from the left and right. She then set off towards the ruins...
