Desrium paused for a moment to think. Hand to hand prowess in combat would be useful since he lost his sword. His mastery of the weapon meant nothing if he could not wield it. In addition, his other offensive skills were lacking, his great physical strength only utilized in basic and brutish attacks; his magical abilities unstable at best. Desrium raised his metal fists and struck a stance similar to Jiier's own during their battle. "Shall we begin?" the armored being asked

Elias stood there biting his lip trying to think of the words to say . he smiled softly then spoke " wondering is what i do best so yes Ill wonder to the village with you all " . A smile appered on his face that was still tired and a bit worn but much more alive looking then the night before .
" Dear God the only thing I ask of you is
to hold her when I'm not around,
when I'm much too far away
We all need that person who can be true to you
But I left her when I found her
And now I wish I'd stayed
'Cause I'm lonely and I'm tired
I'm missing you again oh no
Once again " - avenged sevenfold dear god

"I suppose so," Jiier responded, getting into a similar pose. "Most of your fighting style depends on your enemy. As you are a lot heavier than I am, I would usually exploit that by making numerous quick strikes," he explained, demonstrating by ducking down and around the Blood Omen, giving a chop with his hand at Desrium's back, using the momentum of the maneuver to increase the strength of the blow.

Reflexively, the armored being swung himself around in the opposite direction to Jiier's movement after his blows landed, arm outstretched in a backwards swing, intending to swat his speedier opponent as he suspected the simian to circle around him.

Jiier swung back, half crouching to avoid the incoming blow, before sweeping out the armored being's legs from under him with a complete spin of his body with an outstretched leg. As Desrium hit the ground, Jiier placed a boot on his midsection a split second after, completing his 360 degree spin.

"I see" Desrium said simply, lying prone on the stone and looking up at his teacher. "This is a valuable lesson to learn"

"Indeed," Jiier replied, stepping off the armored being and offering him a hand, aiding Desrium in getting back on his feet. "The key, as I said, is your enemy themselves. You must be able to adapt. Are they stronger? Are they larger? Are they smaller? Are they faster?" he asked in quick succession, stroking some hair from his mane like a beard. "Range is a factor too. Sometimes your enemies won't be so keen on staying within striking distance. You must learn to either weather their attacks, or avoid them."

By now, Radamand finished his work, the curtain of water effectively keeping all unwanted material, living or otherwise, out of the temple. The giant himself passed through without even getting wet, though a number of large jungle insects tried and failed to do the same.

"And learn, I will" Desrium stated, getting back into combat stance and thinking the demonstration over, running it through his mind and pinpointing mistake. He would try to correct himself this time.

"Well, we could take you there on one of the gryphons" said Andruil as he walked over to the satchels, beginning to put away the equipment, rolling up the spit and fastening the buckles to hold it shut tightly. "Or," he said, as he glanced back at the man. "if you're up to it, you could head there yourself. I would guess that on foot, you'd make it there by late evening" he concluded as he then began to roll up the bed rolls. "Either way works, and, last I checked, the path there is almost devoid of danger. At worst you may run into a badger, or perhaps a wild dog if you're extraordinarily unfortunate"...

Vix shot a playful, exaggerated grimace at Elias. "Kids today, always charging off to hurt themselves again," she remarked to no one in particular.

The Cockatrice had landed on a rune near Icil, squawking in fury. The succubus was in shock; such a magnificent beast would attack only so often. The bird screeched and kicked at Icil, nearly hitting her with its toxic claws. She was powerless without her skull, so she picked up a sharp rock and hurled it at the creature, hitting it square in the head, thus dazing it a little. She picked up a fairly large tree branch, holding the limb as if it were a sword...

Andruil chuckled at the reaction Vix gave, before looking up to Elias. "Well, on the one hand, flying there with us would give you a better view of the surroundings. On the other, you would likely feel uncomfortable that high up. Walking would allow you to learn the intricacies of the wilderness around you en-route, and you don't have to worry about the discomfort of heights"...

"You humans are tougher than you take credit for," Tetto'eko chittered. "I'm sure you will be fine..."

Deep within the jungles of Lustria lay Itza, the First City of the Lizardmen. While Hexoatl was Lustria's first line of defense against potential invaders, Itza was its true capital, and home to some of the most potent magical practitioners in all of Aster.

Chief of which, lay buried in an ancient vault beneath the central temple. His mummified corpse was seemingly lifeless as any other, but to those fluent in the magical arts, the body practically oozed arcane power. The dead wizard's spirit was still tied to his body, and this world, stubbornly refusing to leave. However, the spirit had been silent for along time now, and many of the Mage-Priests doubted whether or not he would return. Had they decided to focus on him now, however, they likely would have detected the surge of increasing energy down below. It didn't matter, though. They would find out soon enough.

Lord Kroak, the first of the Slann Mage-Priests, was about to awaken.

The Cockatrice slammed its tail into Icil, sending her hurling into a tree with a loud crash. The succubus gritted her teeth. She wasn't going to let a stupid mutant chicken stop her from exploring the world. The succubus let out a roar as she rammed the tree branch into the bird's sensitive beak, even cracking it a bit. The avian monster howled, pecking at Icil in rage. The succubus rolled, making the bird hit a log, thus getting it stuck...

Fom the surrounding forest, there was a short whistle as a single blowdart hit the furious Cockatrice in the flank, pumping lethal venom straight into the beast's bloodstream. The source of the blowdart, however, cold not be seen...

Icil's head perked up like a curious kitten's; curious of what suddenly just happened. She dropped the branch and watched as the Cockatrice collapsed and breathed its last...

She wrote: During my exploration, I was attacked by a crazed Cockatrice. It must have been a young male; after all, males are quite the territorial creatures. As I was defending myself from the savage bird, an unknown someone (or something) fired a blow dart into its hip, killing it in less than about half a minute. I wonder who (or what) it could be...

Icil quickly got her answer, when the sharp prod of a spear poked the succubus in the back. The towering Saurus warrior bared his fangs at her, emitting a deep, rumbling growl. As far as the Lizardmen camped around the shrine were concerned, she was a Demon to be hunted and exterminated...

Icil turned and looked at the reptilian hominid, curious of why everything here seemed to want her dead. She gasped.

"Mother of God..." she said under her breath. The succubus backed away from the Lizardman, somewhat worried if this creature wanted to eat her...
