"I see. Very well. I'll begin practising" rumbled Septimus, before turning towards one of the corners of the courtyard, sitting as he curled his tail around his legs, closing his eyes as he began to channel his energy, letting it flow through his entire form freely, as his mind worked on formulating a form that he felt would be of use in the future...
a lancing bolt of pain tore through Dhoulmagus's form as he struggled, the magic specifically meant to cause immeasurable agony to the victim, capable, in concentrated doses, of breaking their minds entirely. "You death will only be more painful if you fight, shade. Surrender, and perhaps the King will see fit to show mercy on you" warned Paracelsus, his tone threatening as his eyes gleamed powerfully. He was one of the Elder Archknights of the Council; aetherian warriors forged from the hottest fires of war, armed with over a century's experience in magical warfare, and wielding magical power earned through the strictest of laws and codes. It would take considerably more to break his hold...and with Atticus, the second Archknight at his side, there was little hope the shade would manage to escape even if it did somehow overpower his captor. "Your Majesty....I believe it would be wise to interrogate him" said Atticus as he turned to eye Trajan. He was wary of Discord, but for now ignored him. He was, at least, neutral towards them. He also had picked up the taint on Byakuren, and was certain Paracelsus had done so as well. Both would require questioning later, to know of their intentions...
"Please. Do not insult me. If I wished to harm you, I would not have wasted my time speaking with you. Who I am is of little importance. You, on the other hand, are another matter entirely. Why do you come here, of all places? No record exists of this temple, so you could not have found it in any book or map" rumbled the voice in Icil's head, no clue given as to the source...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"
