"I am capable of speaking within your mind. What's to stop me from reading it?" rumbled the voice in the succubus's head. "Do not be alarmed. I have only gathered your name and the sincerity of what you say. Nothing more" he explained...

Septimus meanwhile, had begun channelling his energies properly. Unlike the previous time, the energy didn't leave his body, the Dragon having complete control over it, restraining it within his form and channelling it along the minutest of paths, pressing his mana manipulation abilities to their limits. He needed to be capable of shapeshifting quickly when the time came, and sloppy energy leaks would only make it more difficult. Not to mention, it would make him much more easily detected by those with magical affinity...a critical threat in a war...

Jiier soared over the ancient forest below, traveling far from the shrine and the armies that dwelt nearby. He needed space, and lots of it, to do some practicing of his own. The golden dragon descended into a small clearing at the edge of the forest, landing heavily on the ground as he observed his surroundings. Jiier could feel the anger and rage brought on by his altered form gnawing at his mind, but at this level, he barely had to pay it any mind to keep it at bay. But he needed to descend further into his power, and this was risky for a variety of reasons, he knew. Using his power as such risked his life, should he use too much, as well as his sanity; if he wasn't careful, the rage could consume him, which could endanger himself and everything around him. As well, such things were quite tiring. If he did not have a chance to recover before he was needed, he might not be able to help his friends, should they be in danger.

At the same time, however, it was necessary for him to practice. With such an impossible task ahead of them, he knew he would need the deepest depths of his power. And if he did not maintain control through practice, the results would be unpredictable, and at such a crucial time, deadly. With a huff, Jiier cleared his mind and gradually dropped his mental barriers. The eyes of the maned dragon flew open, his pupils narrowing dangerously as the power began to flow through him. The feeling was exhilarating, like concentrated adrenaline injected straight into his heart. Jiier's hair began to extend, the golden glow growing more intense, and soon sparks of energy began to snake across his body, arching between his spiked hair. With a feral howl, Jiier exploded into a glowing pillar of bright gold, which traveled several meters into the air, casting a golden glow down upon the forest just as Desrium's power was released above the shrine many miles away.

As the energy began to fade all around him, the maned dragon's hair was, at this point, as sharp as a masterwork spear, extended almost twice its normal length, and a whitish gold color. Jiier stood, unlike his normally proud, formal posture, like a primal beast, heaving like a rabid dog as he did, in the middle of the now-scorched dry clearing. With a savage growl, the dragon launched himself into the air at an alarming speed, shooting off further away from the forest at a speed not thought possible by a dragon of such size...

Swerving movement was followed by powerful broad strokes of the spear as Desrium moved onto chaining attacks to his dodges. The swings then turned into spinning slashes that ended with overhead swings, quick, cleaving movements that were akin to a sword though somewhat slower. What the procedure lacked in speed more than made up for with power and penetration, the gleaming double blades easily able to drive through tough armor...though only true combat practice could gauge the Blood Omen's effectiveness with the weapon...

"I have a really bad feeling that Cyris is coming closer and closer to finding me, along with the temple. She tends to find her ways to places that people would never know about." Icil replied. "Hell, if she comes here, then we're all doomed."

"I'm not sure you are quite aware of the forces assembled in this place" rumbled Arashi's voice in the succubus's mind, as the sky above began to rumble and darken at the Stormweaver's command, a sensation channelled through Icil's mind, making her aware that the change in weather was his doing, before it returned to normal. "The being that intercepted you when you arrived....That alone, is capable of annihilating everything here, if the need had arisen. And that is just one of the forces present here" rumbled the voice...

Icil already learned that the hard way. "Well, Cyris has her ways." the girl thought aloud, although she agreed that even Cyris would be stopped. "She would not harm such a structure, she would only kill anything alive inside of the place, and then leave."

Icil looked around. "It's not that I disagree with the fact that the forces here are indeed powerful, it's just that Cyris has... well... let's just say she has a 'few friends.'"

"The only thing she would gain by approaching here is a swift and sudden death. Be it by my hands, or otherwise" rumbled Arashi's voice calmly. He had killed and imprisoned creatures similar to this 'Cyris' on multiple occasions in the past. He was not even slightly concerned as to the threat she could possibly pose. She was, ultimately, a mere speck of the danger the Traitor posed. "Now, I believe it is time you depart. While my patience is vast, others are not so willing to have a demonic being present in this place"...

Septimus meanwhile, had been focusing on a specific image he had formed in his mind regarding the form he wished to take. The specific look, shape and tone of the form filled his mind, the Dragon forcing out every other image. His scales began to shimmer as what looked like cracks of white light spread from the runes covering his entire frame, soon spreading to engulf his entire form in white light...

Jiier dropped from the sky like a golden missile, smashing into the ground with considerable force, throwing dirt and debris in all directions. The maned dragon was now surrounded by plains, the ancient forest a considerable distance away. The energy that snaked its way around his form occasionally sparked off and struck the ground, blowing sizable holes in the ground in the process. The energy that hung around Jiier flared bright as the dragon's pupils disappeared, his maw opening as a brilliant torrent of golden light shot forth, the blazing beam shooting into the tall grass while leaving a clean-cut path of destruction through it. A split second after the energy subsided, Jiier was already back in the air, racing upwards at alarming speeds. The dragon glanced around furiously as he ascended, trying to spot something below that he could unleash his rage upon. Fortunately, nothing was in sight, and the maned dragon howled into the open sky, the sound echoing for miles.

After completing another round of repetitions the Blood Omen rested the silver and gold spear on a shoulder. He peered out into the forest beyond the temple grounds, contemplating taking his training out into the unpredictable wilds. From experience, he knew wandering out into the thicket meant he would run into something hostile eventually. When that happened, he had an opportunity to assess his skill with his new weapon. Indeed, seeking and countering actual danger was preferable than reacting to imaginary threats, but Desrium was not certain Jiier would approve of such a thing. He was told to have patience but he had already advanced beyond movement and forms. While there was much room for improvement, he had a basic idea of how he was supposed to utilize the spear in coordination with the rest of his metal form. Now he wished to test its potential, and for that the forest called.

Acting on his initiative, Desrium began the trek, walking down the cliff side route from the plateau and into the foliage as the echo of a roar rippled through the moist air...

Trajan tried his best to brush off Dhoulmagua'a threat, but it still unnerved him quite abit. "Who is it that you work for? Who sent you here?" Trajan asked, trying to keep his voice as full of authority as possible....

Mara strolled into the barracks, then stopped, smashing her staff down onto the ground, causing a small flare of flames to blow out from the staff's head. "Alright you orcs, Burzum has decided to allow me to take you all and do some land conquering. THe target in mind is the capital of Germania; AKA the city of Tristan..." She announced boldly. If they questioned her orders, well, that's why she and her pet would enjoy roast Orc quite abit...

Dhoulmagus let out a low chuckle, somewhat amused by the human's voice. Fear.... he could smell it... TASTE IT... how good it made the titan feel, how it filled his body with a vigor that he hadn't felt in ages! Now he remembered why he did what he had done so many millenia ago. Soon, Dhoulmagus replied in his usual, cold tone.

"And what makes you think I would tell you that, Emperor?" Dhoulmagus snickered menacingly.

The orcs all glanced at each other for brief moment, before turning back to Mara.

"Sundaum!" The orcs began to cheer (which means "conquest in the black speech). The soldiers soon began to get their weapons and armor ready for combat...

Burzum continued resting on his throne, before he decided to go take a little stroll. He needed to stay active... he didn't want to get fat before their conquest of this world, after all...

Sharavuras, unsuccessful in his attempts to rally people to their cause, began to head back to Gorgoroth. He had a long ride ahead of him...

As Dhoulmagus evaded the question, the sensation of being skinned alive over his entire body simultaneously tore through him. "Because cooperation is a preferable option to being forced to give the answer" said Paracelsus coldly, his eyes shimmering with magical energy, the sheer power of the Archknight such that it could be felt by those around him...

As Septimus's form faded, he found himself in a form that was humanoid....but inhuman. He still had digitigrade feet, as they were when he was a Dragon...he had talons similar to his old ones, and a long, whip-like tail was sprawled out behind him. The only thing that he managed to get almost right, was his face, though even that was the wrong colour, having a metallic black and silver sheen. As he tried to adjust however, much of his body returned to its original form, the Dragon struggling to keep it from reverting, only managing to preserve his face, ending in the disturbing situation of having a humanoid head on his Draconic body. "Damn it....This will be...problematic" he rumbled, his voice distorted by his new features. Sighing, the Dragon returned to meditation, to try and correct this disaster, his body beginning to shimmer once more as he focused...

The training Saurus warriors were close to the base of the temple, several Skinks keeping watch for any native animals. The Lizardmen were used to jungle living, and they had plenty of ways of deterring the native wildlife. The massive Albino Saurus overwatching his charges seemed to frozen like a statue, the Skink Chief standing by him acting as if it was perfectly normal. The Skink's head quickly looked to the left, towards the forest trees, his exceptional eyesight spotting distant movement, and his hearing, even over the clashing of weapons and growls of Saurus soldiers, acute enough to confirm his suspicions of something walking in their general direction...

Likewise; Desrium detected the soldiers deeper in the forest, able to taste their scent in the air, hear the ring of metal against metal, and see the silhouette of figures against the shadows of the undergrowth. If he were driven by his predatory nature, the reptilians would have had an encounter with the armored being the likes of which took place 800 years ago. Instead, the Blood Omen only confirmed the presence of the Lustria natives, having a sensory frame of reference from his brief time with Septimus' prior travel companion.

With a quick chitter, the Skink Chief called several of his subordinates, ordering them to investigate. The small group of Skinks moved cautiously towards the trees. If it was an animal, they would likely just kill it for food. If it was a soldier from one of the other armies, they would ignore it unless it attacked...

Desrium continued unperturbed into the forest, taking note of the smokey gray of a light rolling fog further out in the undergrowth. The lower visibility offered refuge for the ambush inclined, animal or otherwise. Even with his sharp perception, he could not be aware of everything around him at any given time, unless it was magical in nature. He'd have to employ caution, or succumb to the dangers of unfamiliar territories...

Shrouded in the fog as they were, the Skinks watched Desrium from a distance with fascination. He was certainly not a natural denizen of this forest, and they could tell he was no mere warmblood. With the flick of his headcrest, one Skink mutely ordered another to go fetch the Chief. The second Skink silently slipped away, while the rest kept a curious eye on Desrium...

The armored being altered his heading so that he could avoid the main concentration of the reptilian warriors, cautious not to alarm or panic the Lustrian forces. Without Septimus or Jiier accompanying him, his appearance would surely upset and anger many. While he was certain his passing did not go undetected, he would keep his distance as he pursued his training in the depths of the ancient forest...

The Skinks continued to shadow Desrium, and the Chief soon joined them. He decided to follow the creature further, to see what it did. The Priests had insisted that the rest of the Skinks do their best to communicate with the other armies around them, to enforce camaraderie. This soldier was particularly unique, so if it came to it, they may just attempt communication...

Once he had covered enough distance from the Skink camp, the Blood Omen stopped walking. Standing still, he extended his awareness to his environment, knowing he was being followed. Scents, out of place sounds; as minute as they were, and finally mana auras around him made it clear he was not making his trip into the thicket alone. In an instant, the armored being's eyes became ablaze with focused energy, piercing the shadow of the forest floor with scarlet light as he panned his vision around his surroundings.
