"Sep...Septimus!" Jiier called weakly, fighting back the urge to fall asleep with some difficulty.

Septimus looked up as he heard Jiier calling to him. "Something wrong, Jiier?" he asked as he stood, descending the steps as he approached his exhausted friend...

"No, no..." Jiier growled, lifting his head from the drenched stone. "I need to...ask...What...am I?" he asked bluntly, taking a moment to realize how strange such a statement must sound. "I mean...have you ever read about a dragon...species that I may belong to...?" the maned dragon explained, hoping the scholarly dragon would be able to tell him about his kind. His mother had been the only other of his kind he ever knew...and she never mentioned what they were called, where they all went, or anything of the sort.

Heavy footfalls were audible near the shrine, as a large, horned beign approached from off in the distance. Nitsunobue cautiously began to enter the area, the ancient wyvern's ucriosity peaked when he saw the eruption of light. Now, the formerly-known Horned Tyrant hung his head low in some sort of basic udnerstanding and respect as he approached the structure. He smelled others nearby... and spotted others off in the distance...

Nitsunobue let out a trumpeting bellow to signal his presence. He didn't want them to be surprised he arrived... though he realized he wasn't the stealthiest creature around, the last time he lurked in the shadows to be "nice", he almost lost himself in a blood frenzy...

Septimus thought for a few moments, recalling what he'd read on Dragon races in Aster, before shaking his head. "I can't say I recall reading of any like yourself" said the dark elf. "However, I have not read of any like the Hueilin either. It could be that your kind live a similarly secluded life and are not readily accessible by those who write these books. Or perhaps I simply haven't reached that page yet. I have quite a few books on Dragons and other magical creatures" he added with a smile, trying to give the Dragon some hope...

Above Nitsunobue, a rattling roar rang out, sounding less like the call of an animal and more like a thunderclap, as the Stormweaver flew past overhead, banking off to one side as he turned to take a closer look at the beast...

Cyris herself was in the forest; she knew that her tracks will be almost completely covered her. The corrupted elf also knew that the succubus had just flown overhead, but she would bother with that later. She had some souls to steal.

"Oh," Jiier growled simply, some degree of disappointment evident in his gaze, though at this point he didn't expect much. "Thank you...Septimus...you're a good friend...You too, Desrium..." the dragon continued groggily, completely ignoring the roars that echoed through the courtyard. Jiier placed his head back on the sopping stone, immediately falling asleep.

Nitsunobue looked up as the large dragon flew overhead. The horned tyrant stood down, acting submissive in an attempt to show that he meant to harm to the others that lay nearby (if the massive beast had anything to do with the others in the first place). Nitsunobue continued watching the beast, however, even as he stood in a passive stance before the creature...

Desrium paused and looked over his shoulder, having never been told that before, not even by Septimus. After so long, being called something other than a monster was still a novelty for the Blood Omen and he appreciated the sentiment, thanking Jiier even though the maned dragon probably did not hear him. In an instant though, the Blood Omen stood defensively in front of the sleeping drake, spear at the ready as he stared off to the other side of the courtyard. Rain splashed off of the broken-horned Wyvern's scaly hide where it stood, prepared to do battle even though the temple guardian was ever ready to do the same...

Arashi circled overhead as his voice rumbled through the air, easily heard by anyone in the immediate vicinity. "What brings you here, Wyvern?"...

Septimus was touched by Jiier's words, smiling as the Dragon rested, though he turned immediately when the Wyvern bellowed, glancing towards the source, hearing his father's own roar rattle through the air, before he addressed the Wyvern in person. This was a surprising turn of events...

Nitsunobue speaks, though he soudns a bit tired from his long trek over here.

"I come in curiosity," the horned beast replied in his usual, deep tone. "Also, searching for potential allies against Archdemon..." Nitsunobue growled to hismelf at the thought of that fiend. He would gut him himself if he could, but life has been cruel lately...

"Your information is old, Nitsunobue. The Archdemon is no longer the greatest threat we face. It is but a speck of dust compared to its master" rumbled Arashi calmly as his powerful wings thumped rhythmically. "What happened to following your elven comrades? Last I saw, you were trailing them through the cursed forest. Albeit not entirely at their will" he growled through narrowed eyes. This did, afterall, seem a considerable distance to travel over 'curiosity'...

Septimus meanwhile, watched on interestedly. How was it that Arashi seemed to know so many here. It was as though he were everywhere at once...

Nitsunobue seemed a bit surprised by Arashi recognizing him, but he brushed it off at the moment.

"Yes... elf friends not particularly fond of me," Nitsunobue replied. "Last I saw, they leave dwarf city on Gryphons. Been lost for while now, looking for them, looking for allies in meantime."

The wyvern paused.

"Tell me more of Archdemon's master," Nitsunobue pressed.

Desrium stood down once he was sure that the newcomer was no threat, looking back at Jiier one last time. Clearly the shapeshifter had no qualms about sleeping exposed to the elements. It was quite strange, that after his deep sleep and energetic performance, he was once again driven to exhaustion, though one beyond any other. Uncertain as to how to react to this turn of events, the armored being walked over to Septimus, sitting beside the dragon-elf. Perhaps had some bit of knowledge to share to help him make sense of the situation.

"That is enough, demon spawn," Radamand's commanding voice boomed as he strode over to the two, flame-like eyes staring up at the dragon. After a moment, the giant's gaze moved to the new arrival. "There is indeed a larger threat than any mere demon facing all of Aster," Radamand confirmed, his eyes narrowing at the wyvern, seeing much deeper into the wyvern's being than it appeared. "What do you intend to do about it?"

Despite the volume of Radamand's voice, Jiier continued to sleep soundly.

"Of course, Radamand. Clearly you have no use of someone already acquainted with your latest guest" responded Arashi, his voice tinted with sarcasm, before flying back towards his perch on the brim of the temple's platform, furling his wings as he walked towards a secluded corner of the platform, preferring the peace of solitude to the bustle of discussion...

Septimus was amused at the scene. For once, his father was being talked down to and wasn't in a position to retort. "Surprising how swiftly things change, no?" said the shapeshifter as he glanced to Desrium...

Nitsunobue locked his eyes onto the giant that stood before him. The horned beast responded.

I plan to fight," Nitsunobue said. "While know nothing of master, have grudge against Archdemon. Willing to aid any that stand against him. If master is great threat, I willing to fight him too!"

"Then you will wait with the rest until all is prepared," Radamand stated simply before turning away, walking back to his place at the edge of the courtyard.

Nitsunobue nodded, heading towards the structure where he assumed the "others" were. The horned titan kept his head low, observing the others as he approached...
