Icil's orange eyes shifted to the ceiling, trying to remember such an event from so long ago.

"This one day, we were exploring a mountain. It wasn't the biggest mountain in Aster or anything like that, it was just a mountain. Yarith and I had found this cave... it was beautiful. The ice in it looked like crystals... it was just lovely. We walked into this cave, hoping to find even more wonders, but what we found wasn't exactly a wonder..." the girl said to the group, making several hand motions to go along with what she was saying.

"What we found was a mountain dragon, asleep in its den. It was extraordinary to see such a rare and wondrous animal like a dragon, but it was a dragon, no doubt..."

The patrons all looked at each other in a slightly uncomfortable manner.

"This doesn't sound good..." one man said.

"So what happened next?" The grizzled warrior inquired. "Obviously it didn't kill you, but I'm sure it was a battle worthy of a champion."

"We didn't battle it, we ran like hell; of course, the beast woke from its slumber quite hungrily, and I think it wanted us to be the main course! We dashed out of the cave with the dragon right behind us. The dragon lunged at me, only for Yarith to knock me out of the way. Instead of being mauled by the animal, he was knocked off of the mountain violently. The last I saw of him was him shouting at me to save myself as he tumbled through rock and snow." Icil replied.

"Then I started to run, knowing that I couldn't save my comrade without killing myself in the process. The dragon also hit me with his claws. It even left a scar." Icil said as she lifted up her shirt a little, exposing her stomach. There indeed were three large and faded scars going across the succubus's belly. She then pulled it back down, continuing to tell her tale.

"I then picked up a sharp rock, and I chucked it at the monster, hitting it in the stomach. That dragon was so furious that he could unleash the seven gates of Hell upon me! I then ran down the mountain, trying to escape the animal..."

Vix, having watched the interaction, interjected with a smile, "Amusing as this conversation is, shall we get going?" Arsenic had, with some measure of reluctance, handed Elias the katana and pulled himself onto Aviva's back - the dragoness snorted a puff of smoke and turned to Elias. "Zar tells me you flew with him here," she growled to the wounded human. "As so many are coming and we can carry more people, would you object to doing so again with Rowan this time?" Rowan, who had wandered over with Dante and a few of the other assassins unnoticed, turned at the sound of her name. The assassins all carried various weapons, and not one of them had less than two on them. Two carried bows, quivers of arrows slung across their backs; almost all of them had at least one dagger in a sheathe on their forearm or hip. Arsenic himself held his new longbow, and his poisons and adatas were safely tucked away in hidden pockets, ready for use. Vix's daggers were all on her person, each hidden in a way as to not be immediately obvious at a quick glance. Beside Aviva, Zar flicked out his forked tongue and fixed Elias in a steady gaze, waiting for an answer.

Elias bowed to the man and placed the katana in his belt under his revered blade . His gaze turned to zar ans sighed " I'm sorry but I'd rather rid with zar if that is alright with you and zar " he said with power full glimmer in his eye as he felt a sense of pride and not rise up inside him as he felt the cloud of battle loom over head . He Hadent felt this way since he was fighting in the revolution in his home land .
" Dear God the only thing I ask of you is
to hold her when I'm not around,
when I'm much too far away
We all need that person who can be true to you
But I left her when I found her
And now I wish I'd stayed
'Cause I'm lonely and I'm tired
I'm missing you again oh no
Once again " - avenged sevenfold dear god

Zar dipped his head as Rowan climbed onto Aviva's back, resting the dagger she carried in her lap for the moment. "As you wish," the male dragon rumbled, kneeling to allow Elias to get on. Arsenic turned his attention to the growing darkness, his expression blank as he thought of the battle that was fast approaching. And the man that had been spotted - if it was who Arsenic thought it might be, then after this fight, even if he survived he might yet die. Why else would he come back but to tie up the last loose end? Arsenic thought bitterly, his hand clenching on his bow for just a moment.

"That's horrible!" A vocie rang out from one of the lonlier corners of the Inn.

"What happened next?" The grizzled warrior asked, putting his pipe away for now.

Guame stayed silent for a little bit as the Germanian army soon reached the meeting place. Instead, it was Djinn that responded. "Of course you don't, Discord. Such a marvelous being of chaos like you loves to see as much trouble caused as possible." She said.

"Oh, finally, someone understands!" Discord announced melodramatically. "So glad you can see what I see, my dear."

"Well then, best we not linger" said Andruil, whistling sharply, Thalion's head snapping up as he heard it, the Hippogriff making his way over, his head sinking as he saw Andruil picking up the satchelts with the supplies and equipment. halting beside him, the Hippogriff stopped moving, and Andruil swiftly attached them, making full use of the large animal's carrying capacity. The satchels had been filled with medical supplies and provisions for the upcoming battle, along with quivers full of extra arrows for Andruil, Arsenic and the others, to help bolster whatever supplies awaited them when they reached. Once the satchels were attached, Andruil turned to Vix. "Think you're up to flying on your own? Or would you prefer to accompany me?" he asked...

"I ran down the mountain, with the dragon chasing me. Suddenly, I made a sharp turn, making the dragon slip off of the path and fall down the mountain. That dragon wouldn't give up, because he took me down with him. We tumbled and tumbled, and being in the grasp of an angry dragon wasn't exactly my idea of fun, either. By the time we got to the bottom, the dragon was limp and lifeless, and I was just about like him. I felt like I had died, but knowing that the dragon couldn't kill me anymore was a little relieving. However, I was sad about how I lost Yarith like that. I didn't know if he was dead or alive, or even in one piece..." Icil said, coming towards the end of this tale.

Septimus's blade clashed against Antar's loudly, sparks flying from the two blades as Septimus twisted back and dropped into a half crouch, his blade crossed in front of him, as the King stood, his own scimitar arced downwards in the way of any incoming attack. "For one who supposedly doesn't know how to use a sword, you are doing a good job at defending yourself" said the King with a chuckle. "Your guess is as good as mine as to why. The blade may have something to do with it" said Septimus. "An enchantment that enhances sword-fighting abilities? I've heard of crazier things, but if they do exist, I have yet to encounter them. But then, some are just naturally attuned to the skill. It could be you simply have it in you to excel with a blade" responded the King as he dove forward, rolling as Septimus twisted, the King's blade coming up just as Septimus got out of the way, only for it to swing sideways towards his head, Septimus bending back as a boot hit him in the chest, knocking him back and onto the ground, the Scholar rolling with the blow. "If it was an enchantment, you would have seen that coming" said the King, smiling as he let the tip of his blade touch the ground, stopping. "As regards for lessons, there's little more I can tell you that you don't seem to inherently know. However, as far as sparring is concerned, I'd be happy to continue training you. However, before that, I would recommend heading to the other side of our camp. The Abiru-Sahari tribe have made their camps there. They're excellent traders and craftsmen. Ask them for a Warrior's Coat...a Wirshah, in their tongue. You will find it most useful in combat in this form. It should not be too costly; I've convinced them to lower their prices for our allies during this time of hardship. Tell them Qa'id Antar Tameem sent you, so they know not to try and squeeze too much out of you. I will await here until you return. It will give me time to reflect on our training so far and see if I cannot think of something more to teach you" said the King, Septimus nodding gratefully, sheathing his blade as he looked towards the camp, heading in the direction he was pointed. He didn't say it out loud, but the King's training had tired him considerably. Antar, on the other hand, seemed to hardly even break a sweat, and the simplicity with which he had kicked Septimus back showed that he was clearly only using a fraction of his skill and speed in combat. He was being gentle. It was both comforting and insulting at the same time. On the one hand, he was thankful the King wasn't using his full ability on him, as he may very well be mangled if they were to fight seriously with such a vast rift in their respective abilities. On the other hand, something about being taken on, and beaten, with such minimal effort was hurtful to him. Beginner's Pride, no doubt. It was good that he was shown just how far from perfection he was. It would make him wary, and attentive in the future...

The older warrior shook his head in sorrow.

"I am sorry about your loss, young adventurer," the grizzled veteran said. "But I'm sure your friend Yarith would have wanted you to continue living as he had not. You did all you could."

Jiier did not move, kneeling in utter silence. As if in response to his sorrow, a slight drizzle of rain appeared in the still-cloudy evening sky. Usually teeming with the subtle sounds of life, the forest around them was now silent, except for the patter of the rain. Even the strange noises that would haunt travelers did not appear now, as if holding back out of respect.

Hearing the sounds of violence long done, and now that a light rain had descended upon the area, Nitsunobue, seemingly understanding of some tragedy that occurred despite not beholding it himself, let out his trademark roar in respect, the haunting cry hanging in the air for several hundred meters before the horned titan marched his way back towards the shrine...

Elias climbed onto zar's back making sure he had his balance befor he spoke " alright zar ready when you are " he said with a tone of voice that seemed energetic and almost excited for wha looked over head . He looked at his hand and smirked not knowing why this sense of almost joy befor a battle ha d washed over him after he horrors of the revolution still haunted his dreams and every time he saw the scar on his eye I the mirror the feeling almost worried him as if he was slipping back into his old self .

Many moments of silence followed. "I...don't know," Jiier said at last, not seeming to notice the blood seeping out from under his armor.
