"There are numerous armies residing in the forest as we speak," Radamand responded, his gaze shifting to the window behind them. "But it may not be enough."

The snap of leathery wings resounded, growing louder to those within earshot as Aviva and Zar neared. Both dragons had powered on through the night, knowing how precious time was at this point. Aviva angled her wings and carved a slow banking turn, landing carefully in the courtyard of the shrine. The dragoness looked around warily, only half-furling her wings and not daring to relax fully until they were absolutely sure of what was here. She flicked out her forked tongue and padded forward a couple of steps to give Zar room to land, keeping her long, lethal-looking claws at the ready. On her shoulders, Arsenic had an arrow nocked, the mute elf just as wary as his old friend. Zar landed more lightly than his mate had and stayed where he was, black eyes glittering with an unreadable expression. Both dragons were a bit drained from the long flight - but still able to fight if they had to.

The armored being glanced backwards at the newcomers, recognizing the black dragon and the elf that rode her. He turned away as he sat upon the hammer again, resting the spear against the monolith as he did so. With his legs hanging off of the edge, Desrium reached into his robe and took a look at Syria's compass, crimson streams lighting up the inside of his hood. He alone might not have the power to fight the darkness, but he had Aster's collective might along with his own. Success was possible...not probable, but possible nonetheless.

Nitsunobue grunted, looking off into the forest for a moment.

"Faith give us strength if need be," Nitsunobue replied. "I seen many things in my time. Normal people take down dragons alone. Outnumbered men fight off big force. Sheep fighting off wolves. If we believe, it give us strength greater than any weapon or spell. I seen it done before. Maybe we can't kill god, but we make him pay greatly at the very least. Either way, we not try and believe we can, we already fail."

"Wait!" Kard said as he drew his sword. He didn't liek the sound of that snort. "I'm coming with you."

"There is no question of faith," Radamand stated plainly, his gaze turning back to the wyvern. "Soel's will is for me to fight for this land, and I will do just that. Even if it means my death," the giant concluded without any hesitation. "But I am no fool. Faith alone will not win the day. We must choose our actions carefully if we wish to survive."

"Suit yourself, Kard. This someone isn't who you think it would be though..." Icil said, walking to the skeletal wyvern outside of the village. She put her hand on its skull, seeming to pet the beast as it let out a purr-like growl.

Nitsunobue nodded in understanding. He knew that fighting this evil would be risky and potentially fatal for not only the giant, but for himself and all others that the horned beast had met at the shrine recently.

"Caution will be needed, and strategy will be important. But, if fight wisely and strike where important, perhaps we can weaken forces."

A dark question graced the wyvern's mind. Nitsunobue looked back to Radamand before he spoke.

"We can take care of armies, and archdemon, with force and strategy. But how we dispose of Fallen God? You have plan for that, or you think of it when time comes, giant?"

Kard looked suitably frightened by the skeletal nightmare before him. He hadn't seen an undead since... the incident.... and he was terrified of the sight he was beholding: the friendly, young adventurer he met had a pet Dracolich. The warrior kept his blade at the ready, and soon spoke.

"Uhh.... h-hi?" the warrior said to the undead wyvern.

Septimus leapt from the roof of the temple, landing in a crouch at the foot of the steps, in the courtyard, runic patterns glowing along his arms as his eyes glowed, magically slowing his fall so as not to startle the newcomers below. He had spent a fair portion of the previous night training with Antar, and had learned a lot about the handling of the blade. Sleep and meditation had been his escape once he departed the Desert Elf camp. He slept to recuperate in preparation of what followed, and at around dawn, had begun meditating. He had discovered, during that time, that his sword was not a mere weapon, but a vessel. The soul that occupied it was still but a whisper to him, and he only managed to gather that it was the previous wielder of the sword, and that he had been an Elven warrior and nobleman over a hundred years ago.. He was an arcane warrior; a fighter gifted with both spectrums of combat, physical and magical. It seemed that this affinity for the arcane had been the reason Septimus performed well initially. The spirit that occupied the blade seemed to inject thoughts into his mind, hastening his mastery over the blade in ways that would otherwise be impossible. Now, he had achieved in a few hours what most would take months or even years to perfect. It would still take time for him to truly perfect the use of the sword, time spent in actual combat would teach him how to employ his knowledge, until he would eventually be able to predict his enemies' movements...

Septimus rose to his feet as he looked down into the courtyard at the newcomers; Arsenic, Vix, Andruil and Tetto'eko, in addition to two Dragons he hadn't met before. Andruil rode on Gryphon back, and two other winged beasts accompanied them, one being a large Hippogriff and the other being a smaller Gryphon. Shiryaz gave a piercing screech as he circled overhead, before swooping down, slowing as he approached, landing on Andruil's shoulder. "Ah, friends. Welcome. I was hoping I would see you again" said Septimus with a smile, Andruil cocking his head. "Well met, brother" said the Knight, though he otherwise kept quiet, thinking perhaps the dark elf was talking to Vix and Arsenic, as he had personally never met the Dark Elf before...

"It is not my plan, but it is one that gives us a chance. I do not know if it will succeed, but it is the best we have encountered," Radamand responded, looking off into the distance, as if seeing more than just stone walls. "Excuse me," the giant growled, striding out of the room with some urgency. More new arrivals...

Nitsunobue decided to follow Radamand out to the new guests. It's not like he had anything better to do anyways...

Arsenic cocked his head at the dark elf, regarding him with curious deep gray eyes. He knew that voice, but it belonged to a dragon. And the presence he sensed seemed to be that same dragon, but....had Septimus really been able to manage such a drastic change? Then again, something had changed. There was more power there now, more control. And there was something else as well...another being....not even a whisper in Arsenic's mind, but there all the same. 'Well met,' Arsenic replied, echoing Andruil's greeting as he jumped down from Aviva's back. 'Forgive me if I'm a little confused; you seem a bit different, my friend.' A small smile played at the corners of his mouth. 'Have you lost weight?' Vix watched, puzzled. Had Arsenic met this guy before?

Rattlebones grunted, his spiked tail swaying slowly. He stretched out his wings for a little, then folding them. The skeletal wyvern cocked his head at the warrior, investigating his sword.

"It's okay, Kard, Rattlebones isn't aggressive unless he sees you as a threat."

"Nah. A change of 'clothes' though, perhaps" responded Septimus with a chuckle. "I'm amazed you're the only one who recognises me. Vix? Andruil? Tetto'eko? I know my voice is a bit different, but it's not THAT big a change" said the Scholar, turning it into a game, Andruil still quite confused. He considered himself to have a good memory, and he could not remember encountering this man before. Then again...there was something odd about him. His instincts told him there was more to this elf than met the eye. A lot more power there. That faint twinge of discomfort that came from being around something with the potential of being a predator; a side effect of his feral side. But then...Why would an elf of all things give him that impression. Even the most imposing of men didn't give him that feeling, his older brother included...

"Okay," Kard replied. He guessed Rattlebones didn't like his sword. The grizzled warrior quickly sheathed his blade, and cautiously approached the undead wyvern.

"Okay... uh... good boy! Nice boy!" Kard said as he slowly inched his way towards the zombie wyvern...

Icil giggled at what Kard was doing, obviously amused by his antics. The wyvern tilted its head in an avian fashion at the warrior, snorting again...

Kard soon managed to get to Icil's side, smirking himself that she chuckeld at his ridiculous display.

"So... you neglected to tell me you had a pet zombie wyvern," Kard stated in a somewhat amused manner.

Vix narrowed her eyes as the dots connected and it clicked. Arsenic treating this elf as an old friend; the familiarity of his voice...him knowing all of them snapped the last piece of the puzzle into place. She gave a tiny nod, as if to herself, and slid off Myrn, walking forward to stand at Arsenic's shoulder. "I wondered if we would meet again," she said, inclining her head. "You're looking well." Arsenic glanced at Andruil, arching an amused eyebrow as he wondered how long it would take the rest of them to figure it out.

Tetto'eko had remained silent, until Vix spoke, smiling knowingly. "I was curious to see how fast you would have recognized him." He cocked his head at Septimus. "You're shorter than I remember. Perhaps my age really is getting the better of me..."
