A swirling vortex of purple energy materialized in the air above the gathered masses in Draxon, exploding outward in a brilliant display of raw power and bright light, revealing Zazikel, in his true form, hovering overhead. The Demonically-possessed dragon let out a mighty, booming roar as he appeared, shaking everyone to the bone...

Lord Mazdamundi's army had long since joined up with the rest, with Lord Kroak's palanquin hovering towards the shrine as if with a mind of its own, a single Skink Priest riding a Terradon alongside him. The Priest's face was hidden by a golden mask, making his features unreadable...

"I see..." the storyteller replied. "This is grave news. I shall accompany on your quest for the blades... I myself haven't seen the blades, and I'm sure you'd appreciate a guide..."

"Then we're set," Kard stated.

Though the people of Freyr-Lunge were scared at first by Zazikel's display, they soon broke in applause.

"And behold," Draco shouted. "Zazikel, Emissary of Greshlynk!"

Cheers swallowed up Draco's own shouts, as the crowd flew into a frenzy. The guards actually had to keep the peopel from getting TOO excited...

Icil smiled a little, somewhat nervous about setting off to find the swords. The succubus found herself hovering about four feet above the ground, her wings flapping slowly, as if she were gliding. She looked over Kard's shoulder as she continued to flutter...

The group soon exitted the Inn. The storyteller carried a large bag on his back and had his walking stick firmly grasped in his hand. Kard had his trusty sword at his waist, plus his shield slugn across his back. His menagerie of knives were opposite of his sword, and his bow and arrows (which he primarily used for hunting for food) were hidden behind his shield. Soon, the Storyteller turned to the others.

"Well, are we to set out today, then? Or shall we wait a bit?" the older man asked.

"I'd say we've waited long enough," Kard grumbled. "If Cyris gets to either of those swords, or worse, awakens Algol and devours his soul, before we find them, we'll be in for some serious trouble."

"What do you think we should do, Icil?" the storyteller inquired to her.

"I guess we go now?" Icil implied, now fluttering over Kard's head. The succubus was unsure about how to start their journey to find the legendary blades...

The storyteller gave a quick nod, before he began to march off into the distance. The old man turned to Kard and the hovering Icil.

"Let us head this way," the storyteller said. "I remember the ancient scripts saying that the ancient tombs were 'hidden deep in the mountainous regions up north'.... I'd assume the swords are somewhere near there, considering the last recorded clash of the two blades was in a place known as Reznok Tzrkir, or 'Exalted Realm', which was located in that region..."

"Sounds good to me," Kard replied. "I have no idea to even start looking for them."

"I have a way of covering ground without consuming as much time..." Icil said before whistling, Rattlebones hovering over the trio with only the sound of his flapping wings giving a hint of his existence. The skeletal wyvern landed next to his succubus master, snorting as he crouched down for the three to get on his back...

Kard imediately mounted the skeletal beast, leaving the storyteller on his own for a moment. The old man chuckeld as he, too, mounted.

"Impressive, young adventurer," the old man stated as he mounted the undead wyvern. "You are quite adept in necromancy."

Icil smiled at the comment and climbed onto the wyvern's back, whispering something in an unknown language, making Rattlebones take to the sky. The skeletal creature's wings were surprisingly able to carry it through the air as his wings were stretched apart, flapping once per every few minutes...

Kard held on tightly to the creature's spine, the warrior feeling a bit uncomfortable being this high up. The storytelelr seemed unaffected, and he chuckled at Kard's discomfort.

"What's the matter? Never been higher than 10 feet off the ground?" the storytelelr teaser.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up..." Kard replied with a somewhat nervous tone.

The older man soon turned to Icil.

"The ancient tombs should be somewhere over there." he pointed off into the distance, somewhere in the northeast. "Reznok Tzrkir is somewhere around there."

Icil giggled at the old man's joke, almost as if to agree with him. She pointed in the same direction that the man had pointed, now boldly commanding in the same unknown language she had whispered to Rattlebones to make him fly. The wyvern set off in that direction with a proud, bold, and loud roar, now speeding up through the skies.

"You guys may want to hold on to something, Rattlebones tends to fly a little fast." Icil recommended...

Septimus soon replaced the orb in his satchel, before glancing out over the forest beyond, soon seeing a black drake leaping from amidst one of the larger camps, a man in silver armour riding on its back and approaching rapidly. Behind them, 3 Gryphons also leapt into the air, following close behind, A robed man and two soldiers, one dressed in grey armour and the other dressed only in light leather armour, approached. The drake itself was probably only about half Septimus's size, and likely served simply as a steed for the leader of the faction. The man riding it had features that resembled Andruil's, though the man had a short beard and longer hair, and had a notably more formal look to him than the ever-joking knight. The robed man had an aura of magical power that surpassed anything Septimus had ever seen in a human being. He was at least as powerful as Tetto'eko and himself, if not more so, and Septimus was lead to wonder if there wasn't a hint of Elven blood in the man's veins. The larger soldier in grey armour seemed well weathered, giving the impression of a man who had seen and won many battles. As for the one in the light armour, for all intents and purposes, he seemed normal, though Septimus noted a pair of curved blades at his sides. Before long they had arrived, the drake gliding in before landing at a fast trot, soon slowing to a stop alongside the others below, the three Gryphons landing behind the drake, revealing themselves to be only slightly smaller than it was, and notably larger than the ones Andruil and his friends had come in on, not to mention more ferocious looking, their beaks lined with jagged edges and their talons long and scythe-like. Their tails were relatively flexible, and lined with blade-like feathers that became fewer and more thoroughly spaced near the end. These were not mere steeds. They were war machines. The Drake was no less, a bony layer forming over its jaws, forming a jagged, armoured mouth, its horns curving forward to either side, extending a good foot or two ahead of the young dragon's nose, the horn having a blade like edge on the outside edges of it's curve. its tail ended in a thick, menacing club, with bony spikes growing out of it's outside edges. "Ah, brother. I was wondering when you'd show up. Almost missed the party" said Andruil with a smirk as he eyed Alexander, who chuckled. "Not surprised you're here, Andruil. You have a habit of bringing excitement with you wherever you go" responded the older man with a smirk. "Of course. I'm irresistible" responded Andruil, smiling. "Try not to attract too many swords your way, hm?" said Alexander. Andruil chuckled lowly as he replied "I'll try. No promises though. You know I love a good fight". Alexander smiled as he shook his head. It was hopeless. "So where is the organiser of this assembly of forces? I need a proper briefing" asked the Knight Commander as he glanced around, Andruil nodding to the giant above, Septimus just departing from him. "The big guy seems to be in charge. Beyond that, I'm not sure. We only just arrived ourselves" explained Andruil, Alexander nodding as he watched the Giant.

Not far behind came the Leader of the Desert Elves, Antar riding on the back of a fanged Manticore, the beast's leonine head adorned with a pair of sabre-like fangs, it's large, hellish, webbed wings beating powerfully as it approached, a large, barbed, whip-like tail flowing behind it, ending in a vicious sickle-like stinger. It's blackish brown hide and pitch black mane were contrasted by its glowing yellow eyes, and a pair of jagged horns grew from its head. it landed with a thump at the edge of the courtyard, the dark-skinned elf leaping from it, walking towards them, beige clothing and boots covered in a dark brown cloak, several pockets and straps, belts and buckles visible, his scimitar at his side, as well as a crossbow on his back. He nodded respectfully to the others present, before the steps, already knowing from what Septimus told him the previous day that Radamand and Tzeentch were the ones in charge...

Last of the three was the Commander of the forces of the Zuppo, and a representative of their Mage forces. The General was fully clad in armour, looking startlingly similar to Desrium, though the armour was tinted a deep iridescent green and turqoise, and the helm looked somewhat more conventional, with the eyes opening in L-shaped slots extending from the eye socket down to the bottom of the helmet, leaving a metal nose-guard down the centre. the Armour seemed to be constantly wet, as if the man had just climbed out of the water, and where Desrium's armour had spikes, this armour had saw-like fins rising up the soldier's back. the gauntlets had serrated edges extending from the wrist to the elbow, and on his back was a long, double headed blade-staff, which ended in flat, semi-circular blades that looked as though they were made of some kind of shell. The Mage, meanwhile, was clad in much lighter looking armour, looking as though it were made of the scales of some large fish, the armour glimmering with a metallic sheen, multiple colours visible in the grooves in the scales. Like the General, the Mage representative's armour gave the impression of being constantly wet, dripping droplets of water constantly. "Greetings. I am General Bassunka of the Zuppolandian Kingdom" said the General once he was within hearing range of the others, gaining an interested stare from both Andruil and Alexander, who, up till this point, were convinced that Zuppoland was wiped out centuries ago. The Council representative with the Knight Commander however, was not as surprised, only showing a degree of intrigue in how the race had changed from what they once were...
"Ah yes, organised chaos. the sign of a clever but ever-busy mind. To the perpetrator, a carefully woven web of belongings and intrigue, but to the bystander? Madness!"

A faint, almost chittering noise marked the ascent of a burly, muscular Frondfoot whose scaly hide was a burgundy color accented by a light gray shade that conveyed the creature's great age. An elder Frondfoot close to the end of its life; it still possessed power and energy greater than that of an equine steed in its prime. It was adorned in an armor of leather capped with silver metal hubs at its elbows and knees with trimmings of green. It was fitted with a helmet that was silver as well, with green engravings of treetops on the crest that rose from the back of the creature's head. With the reptile sporting such colors, it was clear the beast was that of the Daavenian captain of the guard.

Its long claws tapped against the temple grounds when its climb was done, the large lizard dwarfing a bear in size. On a decorated saddle sat Urlox, who eyed the gathering curiously. Such a wide assortment of races and creatures that Daaven, despite being out on the plains, rarely- if ever- encountered. The Frondfoot Bardia did so as well, her hazel eyes large and almost falcon like, the bunched up quills extending past her folded frill quivering.

Nitsunobue's head rose in surprise and curiosity. Impressive! He had not seen men up in arms like this for centuries. He had been dulled to the majesty and terrible power each and every man could appear to have. From their menacing, heavily armored steeds, to the heavy plates adorning themselves, to their intimidating and often highly ornate weaponry. Nitsunobue was simply awestruck by the sight of the riders before him. Homonids never ceased to amaze him, even after all these years. Despite their intimidating appearences, Nitsunobue was touched that all these warriors had gathered for one great, trully noble purpose: they had all come to combat the armies of the Traitor God. While he knew that all homonids contained evil within them, he was reassured that there was still good in all the peoples of the sad, broken continent of Aster...

Kard simply nodded nervously, tightening his grip on Rattlebone's spine. The storyteller chuckled as he wrapped his hands onto the undead dragon's spine. And so, the group was off, to find the swords of legend and combat Cyris, Icil's sworn enemy, and an enemy to all life on Aster...

Soon, a feathery shape could be seen passing over the mountain pass to Freyr-Lunge and begin headign straight towards Greshlynk's City itself. He would need to alert Zazikel of their newest allies...

Cyris stopped in thought. The elf pondered and pondered, remembering a certain thing that could help her defeat all life of Aster. She kept remembering something about what her mother had told her when she was a girl to get her to sleep... until it finally hit her.

Soul Edge and Soul Calibur.

"Of course..." Cyris thought aloud. "If I get the blades, then I can be the true ruler of Aster... and I shall destroy any obstacle in the path of my quest, be it alive or dead. Now, just to find my way out of this damn forest." The elf changed directions, jumping from tree to tree to complete her quest.

Rattlebones suddenly stopped in a small open field, perching on a rock, crouching down to let the trio off of his back. The wyvern was tired from flying, and needed rest...

Kard slid off of Rattlebones' back slowly, whereas the storyteller simply hopped down from the dragon's back. Kard opened his satchel and pulled out a little bit of bread for each of them.

"Anybody hungry?" the grizzled warrior asked to the group.

Icil remained on the wyvern's back, seemingly trapped in her memories. Her mouth was open by about an inch, and she remained unblinking and still, as if she had looked into a gorgon's eyes, and her expression showed that these memories were not good ones. She didn't answer Kard's question, as she was almost a part of her own little world of nightmarish and hellish amounts of darkness...

"Icil?" the old man said. He got his walking stick and tapped her leg.

Icil suddenly blinked; the succubus finally came back to the real world. Her orange eyes shifted to the old man as she let out an uneasy Oh into the air. The necromancer climbed off of Rattlebones's spine, hovering down slowly to the ground...

The Germanian forces were all settled near the shrine, and both Guame and Djinn were moving in toward where Septimus was.

"Are you certain about this?" Djinn whispered into Guame's ear.

The beastman sighed. "Yes. Our presence as both leader and mage of this army must be accounted for."

Off in Gorgoroth, Mara was sound asleep in her usual room, the throne now seating Akuro, who had arrived a while back, the Kitsune still in his fox-like form...
