The Lizardmen army arrayed alongside the rest was impressive, to say the least. Lines of vicious Saurus warriors made up the bulk, armed with their spiked maces and axes, made of stone, but still sufficient enough to kill in the hands of these warriors. Even their shields were edged with these vicious barbs. Leading the Saurus infantry was the albino Oldblood Gor-Rok, resolute, who had never taken a step backward in battle, and one of the most powerful fighters in Aster. Scattered amongst the ranks of Saurus were towering Kroxigor, carrying even more massive weapons which could shatter half the bones in a man's body with a single strike. One of these Kroxigor, heavily scarred and covered in plates of armor, was known as Nakai the Wanderer. He traveled the forests of Lustria alone, only appearing before his fellow Lizardmen when a battle of great importance was soon to come. It was unsurprising, then, that he had appeared in Itzl just before Lord Kroak had mustered his forces. Along the right flank of the army was the Cold One cavalry, their mounts dim-witted but unquestionably vicious. Leading them, as he always did, was Kroq-Gar himself, his Carnosaur mount Grymloq far smarter and more powerful. Kroq-Gar had a second-in-command as well: the Scar-Veteran Bok-Ax, who rode a Horned One, a subspecies of the Cold Ones that was even more aggressive, and far more intelligent. Few Saurus knew how to control these beasts, but those that did were given great reverence. Along the left flank were the trio of Stegadons the Lizardmen had brought with them. Each was crewed by Skinks, safely squirreled away in the howdahs on the creature's backs. One had a "Great Bow;" essentially a ballista, while the second was equipped with a massive blowpipe, each dart the length of a man's arm. After realizing that venom would be of little use against Eredar's forces, they had asked for assistance from Tehenhauin. The Priest enchanted the crew's oversized darts, triggering a blast of magical energy each time one hit a target. The blast itself would be small, but the blowpipe was large enough to fire a spray of darts, not just one at a time. Tehenhauin himself was on the third Stegadon, its howdah replaced with what was known as an Engine of the Gods: a massive magical artifact, rumored to be created at the beginning of time, that could not only enhance the magical power of the Skink Priest using it, but also strike out at surrounding enemies with magical fire or weaken the minds of enemy wizards. A truly impressive device, and one only used in times of great need. Most of the other Skinks, other than the Terradon riders flying above and the handlers of the Salamanders and Razordons alongside the Stegadons, were at the back of the army, a last line of defense alongside the Temple Guard to protect the numerous Slann Mage-Priests that had stirred themselves to contribute to the battle...
