Desrium's maw emanated bright white light, gaseous streams reaching out through the barely opened metal jaws. Just as the beam was about to hit him, the Blood Omen unleashed his own magical wrath upon the Greater Shadowreaver, its purple energy barely managing to score a glancing blow on the Hueilin Scholar before Desrium's plume of white mana surrounded by the spiraling prismatic light crashed against it, the two beams linking together. This lasted only an instant however, Desrium's full magical power forcing the purple ray back and ultimately smashing its way through its center, annihilating the shadow being's head and by lowering his gaze Desrium raked the immensely powerful magical beam down the Shadowreaver's body, obliterating it and the ground it stood on.

Cyris managed to get a final shot, which actually met its target this time: Icil's arm. The bolt started to glow as it proceeded to slowly leech away her soul. The process was slow, but could completely sap her life away within hours...

Rattlebones roared, managing to gore Spiritjaw with his tail, slamming it into the tiger's stomach as it attempted to pounce onto the wyvern's ribs. The skeletal beast let out a roar, throwing the tiger into the wall...

Zazikel smirked, casually waving a foreclaw. A wave of negative energy spread from his lazy gesture, smashing into Nitsunobue and sending him reeling...

Discord continued talking, as if Eredar was still right in front of him. "Now, I know you're trying to prove something to me here, what with the silent torture and all, but really, I don't see much point. Would you rather not have an advantage again? Personally, I'd like to see you win. Aster needs some real change, doesn't it? All this monotony before you got out of your little hole in the ground was mind-numbing, I tell you! Believe me when I say that, if you take a few minutes out of your busy schedule of sitting around and looking menacing, I can make it worth your while..."

Andruil landed on the floor in a crouch, skidding to a halt as a trail of dust was kicked up in his wake, as at his side, Bassunka tumbled along the ground before stopping and rising to his feet, a low groan of pain escaping him as he rose to his feet, spinning his bladed staff in hand. "How are we going to kill this thrice-damned demon?" asked Bassunka. "Watch" snarled Andruil, his tone deeper than usual, his eyes at this point absolutely glowing, his body overall seeming notably larger, his proportions 'just' outside of the realm of what would be considered human. the man bolted forward with speed no human could rival, leaping in mid air as his sword tore into one of the Shadowreaver's eyesockets, the sheer momentum knocking it backwards and throwing off its balance, as a taloned hand gripped the shadowy being's scalp, pulling it into the blade as his sword plunged deeper, a loud crunch being heard as the blade plunged past what was most likely the eye socket, into whatever lay beyond, the black blade's runes flaring a piercing white. A moment later Bassunka's bladed staff smashed into the beast's knee with bone shattering force, the extraordinarily powerful, inhuman soldier entering a flurry of immensely powerful strikes, aimed to cripple, unaware that Andruil had likely killed the beast, focused only on inflicting as much damage as possible to their foe...

Antar accelerated upon his Manticore mount, soon flying across the length of the valley, as fireballs smashed into his pursuer, engulfing the Shadowreaver in flames in moments as the squadrons of Dragons maintaining the no-fly zone over the Allied armies moved to destroy the threat, three white pillars shooting upwards at the foe, Council Mages unleashing powerful beams of light magic; the specifically anti-demonic energy intent to destroy any demonic taint that came in their path...

Septimus snarled as the edge of his tail was singed with the dark beam, the intricate patterns that decorated the fin glowing brightly, as if exposed to the air by the blow. craning his neck over his shoulder he saw that the being had been dealt with by Desrium; in fact, that was probably why only the very tip of his tail was struck before it was deflected. It was as he shifted his gaze ahead once more that he was struck from below by something, the Dragon almost blown out of the sky, only barely managing to throw off whatever hit him, tumbling through the air as he struggled to regain his control, his wings flaring widely as his fins spread to catch the wind beneath them, the Dragon twisting to see what had hit him, his face collapsing into a look of pure horror. Before him hovered a horribly deformed dragon, its once silvery scaled hide now taking on a sickly grey hue, shadowy patterns that once glowed with light, now emanating shadowy streams of the darkest darkness. its torso was badly deformed, ribs jutting out amidst a mass of bubbling flesh, jagged spikes growing in violent disarray across the joints of its wings, one of its arms blown off at the elbow, replaced by a large, black, jagged blade. Two long, spiralling ivory horns grow from the back of the Draconic creature's skull. "HeeeeeeeELP MeeeEEE SepTImussss" gurgled the abomination, its face badly torn, jaw dislocated, its face frozen in a look of pure agony. This thing had once been a Hueilin....One of the Exiles. No....No. This couldn't be thought the Scholar despairingly. He had sworn he would bring them all back. His mission...the very reason he left the Hueilin a second time...He had failed before he had even started. a black beam slammed into the Scholar, blowing him out of the air as the monstrosity that had been a Hueilin dove after him. "It Hurts" gurgled the beast as Septimus plummeted...

An abrupt pillar slammed into the undead Hueilin's side as it pursued Septimus. Though the mana beam lasted mere seconds, the speed in which the zombie traveled ensured that it carved a sizable gash along its degraded form. Immediately after, Desrium began gathering his power for yet another blast, more than willing to exhaust the last of his magical reserve to save Septimus. Even if that meant falling from the sky once he could not maintain his flight...

Septimus's wings spread, the buzzing flutter of his wing membranes audible as he veered upwards, regaining altitude as he broke out of the dive, an unholy screech audible above as pus and degraded, seemingly molten black flesh rained down, barely missing him as the deformed Hueilin shot past, flipping in mid air as it fired a black beam of corrupted mana at Desrium, the damage inflicted on its frame meaning he would have to be eliminated before it could attack it's former friend. Septimus meanwhile was struggling with a kinetic orb in his hands, black energy convulsing violently within the purple orb, his arms crackling with electricity, which arced into the orb, flashing arcs tearing through the black energy violently as Septimus indirectly changed its nature, attempting to get into position. "They will not use you friend....You will not suffer for my flaws....or Arashi's mistakes..." muttered Septimus to himself, as though he were speaking to the deformed Hueilin that now attacked Desrium...

Desrium's eyes pulsed brightly as he suddenly discharged the energy he had channeled, streaks of light arcing behind him as he shot over the beam and was sent flying at the corrupted dragon. In a split seconds Desrium's eyes were that of scarlet as his metal form was pelted onto the dragon's back, where he drove the Lance of the Justicar down into its flesh as an anchor and swung himself around its gold and silver rod, planting his feet firmly on top of the creature. It's suffering would not last much longer.

The deformed Dragon bellowed as it flipped and twisted in mid air, changing direction, flying upwards rapidly as a sickening snap was heard, the blade like forelimb of the monstrosity twisting well past whatever joint it had was capable, attempting to impale the Blood Omen on it's impossibly sharp edge, the arm turning into a scorpion-tail-like weapon as it reached over the Dragon's shoulder freakishly. "KILL me" gurgled the beast, its voice echoing around it disturbingly, the tortured soul speaking through the abomination's mouth yearning for release from its demented, twisted, fleshy prison...

Septimus twisted in mid air as he lined up a blow, the black energy within the orb by now almost unrecognisable, the dark magic crackling with arcs of electricity channelled into it through the barrier, keeping it from connecting with Septimus directly. The Hueilin snarled as he thrust his arms forward, a bright flash exploding from his palms as the beam was unleashed, a violent explosion of flesh and blood trailing behind the beast as the entire rear half of its body was blown apart, thin shreds of mangled, singed flesh trailing from where its lower torso would usually meet its hips, the hind quarters vaporised by the beam, along with most of what followed, leaving only the head, arms, wings and upper torso intact, though the area in direct contact with the beam was horribly burned and decayed. An unholy screech tore through the sky as the beast writhed and spun, thrown completely off balance now that it's rear half had suddenly ceased to exist...

Desrium ripped the spear from its hold on the dragon's back, promptly thrown off by the Hueilin's erratic movement but grabbing onto its clawed forearm when it turned over. Pulling himself toward the halved dragon, Desrium pressed his sabatons against its underbelly scales and thrust the spear up through its lower jaw, stabbing through it's skull and ending its torment...

The Dragon's body trembled as it stopped moving, beginning to plummet, the resistance facing the staff beginning to give way, as if whatever was left between it and the roof of the skull hand liquified...

Until a rumbling snarl tore out of it's chest, it's head and neck splitting vertically in half, a massive fanged maw forming where once an elegant head and neck had been, the staff sliding several feet past where the skull would have been as the flexible maw attempted to grab the weapon's wielder. A long, tar-black, tendril-like tail burst out of the rear of it's chest cavity, compensating for the loss of balance the loss of it's hind quarters had caused, the tail ending in a bony, spiked club, made up of what looked like dislodged chest scales, ribs and vertebrae...

Desrium swung out of the way of the maw, yanking the spear from the mangled head of the Hueilin in the process. He then swung his arm up, stabbing the newly formed neck behind where its jaws were...

Agamemnon and the dragon were locked in a deadlock of power, both forces struggling to gain control voer the other. Though blinded, Agamemnon was able to sense his foe through life energy and smell. The king of the shadowreavers wrapped his coils ever tighter, squeezing his foe until the audible sounds of bones snapping rung in the air. Shadowy tendrils slithered from Agamemnon's form and stabbed themselves into the dragon's hide, peircing his scales with ease. His jaws squeezed so tightly around the dragon's neck that he began to bleed, the serpentine demon attempting to suffocate his prey like a constrictor would. The two then began to enter a freefall, blood dripping from both, though neither seemed to be gaining an advantage over the other. It was brutal stalemate between the lithe, agile, yet somewhat powerful Agememnon, and the large, bulky, yet magically adept dragon...

Dhoulmagus snarled, the faceless nightmare's tongue wiggling about before it withdrew. Dhoulmagus then countered with a tentacle strike, the blow striking Radamand across the head. Before Radamand could fall, the magical anomaly's whole tentacle (not just the tip, which is how he usually grabs his foes), wrapped around the giant's head before he was tugged down to the floor, flogging him a couple times with his two other tentacles. Relinquishing his grip, Dhoulmagus then began to bring his tentacles down multiple times onto the downed giant, intent on breaking the creature...

The Greater shadowreaver let out a horrifying roar, as its form was destroyed, the eldritch creature becoming absorbed back into the darkness from wence it came...

The massive beast flailed back at the general, knocking him backwards from the mortally wounded nightmare. Somehow, it was still alive despite Andruil and Bassunka's brutal assault. Soon, after some deep, raspy breaths, the creature collapsed onto its hands and knees. Purple, luminous blood dripped from its mangled face, before it rolled onto its side.

"UMBRA.... GRHAT'EN R'LEH... (shadow god, reclaim me)" was all the beast uttered as it was absorbed into the blackness of the arena...

The magical assault tore chunks of the being's body off, leaving glowing white wounds in their wakes, and the beast was engulfed in intense flames, but the monstrosity continued its pursuit, hellbent on avenging its fallen clan members. A purple ray of shadow magic fired from the beast's maw, slicing across the king's flying mount, leaving a large, glowing cut across its form...

Nitsunobue spiralled out of control unable to right himself. The wyvern beat his wings hard eventually slowing his descent, before he glided down to the cliffs below. His body was marked by the blast. Angered, nitsunobue stood his ground, awaiting Zazikel's next move...

The group managed to escape Cyris' grasp as they fled into the catacombs, leaving Rattlebones behind for now. Kard turned back to Icil.

"c'mon- a little farther and we can stop! I don't want Cyris to follow us..." Kard said...

"K-Kard... I can feel my s-soul... leaving my b-body..." Icil weakly sputtered, the arrow glowing as it literally started to suck the life from her; her magic, her soul, everything. The succubus's skin started to turn pale. She needed the arrow to leave her arm, or else she would not live to see tomorrow.

Cyris growled, leaping out of the window, grasping onto the walls. The elf then proceeded to climb the wall of the tower...

Spiritjaw snarled, charging into Rattlebones with open jaws, slamming his teeth into the wyvern's neck as he leaped onto the beast's spine. Rattlebones roared, shaking wildly, struggling to get the attacker off of his back. Suddenly, Rattlebones slammed his back into the wall, easily crushing the soul beast in between his spiked vertebrae and the wall, let alone skewering it...

The dragon summoned what remained of its strength, bringing its claws together in its enemy's head before tearing them out the sides, cutting the shadowreaver's head in two. The energy that surrounded the beast intensified immensely, liquefying the coils enough to allow the dragon to yank itself free, now above its foe as they fell. With a roar and a single flap of its mighty wings, the dragon smashed into Agamemnon's midsection with outstretched claws, hurtling him into the ground at an incredible speed, the dragon landing on top of him as he collided with the ground.

Seconds after Dhoulmagus relinquished its grip, the giant was already sitting up, just as the tentacles came toward him once more. Radamand's eyes burned a fiery red as he extended a hand, one of the tentacles splitting into multiple pieces as it splintered through the giant's fingers, the hand closing after reaching several feet down the tendril. The giant violently yanked the limb toward himself, bringing the monstrosity with it, which brought the two being's heads within inches of each other. Radamand breathed very heavily in the eyeless monster's face, like a raging beast unleashed. The giant kicked Dhoulmagus back, releasing the tendril in the process, the blow sending the larger creature soaring back across the cliff, almost to the opposite edge. Radamand got to his feet, his blood red eyes flaring as he stood there, breathing deeply...

Zazikel, confident as ever, took his time landing on the cliff to face Nitsunobue on even ground. It was only fair, after all. "Your move, wyvern," Zazikel growled...

Discord rolled his eyes. "Come oooooon!" he moaned, sounding like a whiny child. "I didn't know you were such a boring god..."

Kard immediately turned to Icil, dropping Ivan onto the ground and approaching her. He examined the wound, looking at it closely and planning his approach.

"Brace yourself, Icil..." he said and he grabbed the bolt tightly. "This might sting a bit."

But just as he was about to wrench the bolt free, he saw Ivan rise to his feet, looknig as if nothing had happened to him. The old man turned to them, before he spoke.

"Wait," the man said. "Let me do it."

Kard was shocked, but complied. The old man stomped over to Icil, before he grabbed onto the bolt with surprising strength. His hand became a golden yellow, and suddenly, the bolt became disenchanted of its soul eating properties. Using his other hand, he placed a charm to null the pain in the bolt's general location, before he pulled it out with surprising ease for an old man. Kard, in all respects, was shocked.

"Let the master spellcaster do what he does best," the old man said as he tossed the bolt aside. Smiling, he then continued his march into the catacombs. Kard nudged Icil, looking at her in a bit of a confused fashion. "I've... never seen him so lively before. It's... wierd." The warrior then walked slowly, waiting for Icil follow...

Agamemnon, broken and battered, let out a cry as the two collided with the earth. The king of the Shadowreavers roared, his form ruined beyond what any normal creature, shadowreaver or not, should endure. Yet the king continued to fight. Even as the being's form began to disintegrate, becoming one with the shadowy realm, blowing away like a dusty structure in a strong breeze, the progenitor of his species would fight till the bitter end. From his broken face, a beam of purplish energy lanced out, slicing across the opposing dragon's visage like a demonic blade. His wings, the only things that remained in their original shape on his ruined form, wrapped themselves around the dragon like a grim cloak, their dark embrace threatening to destroy the beast with the dying king. His tail lashed about like a beheaded snake, slithering around to find a target to strike, to make it endure the unending agony its master was enduring...

Dhoulmagus was breathing just as deeply, in a mixture of anger and pain, the beast's head looking in the direction of Radamand. Suddenly, Dhoulmagus' hands became shrouded in a bluish gleam, as his form began to glow as well. The monster let out a roar, tentacles writhing out, mangled beyond recognition from their initial state, before, just as suddenly, Radamand's head became engulfed with a simialr aura. His mind was suddenly and unceremoniously breached, as horrific images graced his mind, the thundering bellow of Dhoulmagus shaking the very foundations of his being, threatening to tear his mind apart.

"GIVE IN TO YOUR DESPAIR!" Dhoulmagus roared in Radamand's mind, the nightmare only getting worse, as it showed the death of all those he had become attached to, the failure of the alliance, and Eredar's conquest of Aster. The Dream Eater was not only trying to devour his being, but break his will in case he managed to escape Dhoulmagus' powerful hallucination. "SURRENDER TO ME AND MY LORD, AND YOU SHALL LIVE FOR AN ETERNITY! DEFY MY WILL, AND YOU SHALL SUFFER THE TORMENT OF YOUR GREATEST NIGHTMARES FOREVER!!!"

Nitsunobue growled. "You flatter me, Archdemon..."

With a bellow, Nitsunobue charged forward, horns lowered to gore his foe...

With an enraged howl, the dragon consumed Agamemnon's very essence, the king of Shadowreaver's broken body unable to deny the beast any longer. The wings released their grasp and fell to the ground, the head ceased its movement, and the tail was left as just a discarded body part as the energy that powered them was taken away.

"I am...a servant of Soel," Radamand growled, his eyes glaring intensely at the monstrosity before him. "And I have endured...in this form...LONG ENOUGH," the giant roared, his eyes flaring so bright that they almost engulfed his entire head, his voice distorting as he spoke. Radamand fell to his knees, almost choking on his own breath as his form began to swell and change. The former giant's body expanded almost uncontrollably, as if he would expand until he took up the entirety of Aster. His limbs extended with sickening cracks, his neck twisting and growing longer, his face elongating in a series of snaps. In seconds, the giant was no more. What towered before them all was a creature impossibly large, resembling a mix of both sea serpent and dragon, its limbs spread out in both passes, far too large to be contained on the cliff itself. Its scales were covered in coral and looked perpetually wet, as if it had been resting at the bottom of the sea for millenia. One of its clawed hands alone was the size of Dhoulmagus, and its enormous head was curved down to stare at the monstrosity, its eyes burning just as intensely as they had when it was smaller. "NO MORE GAMES. YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU TRULY DESERVE, DREAM EATER," the leviathan boomed, its voice shaking the nearby defenders to their core.

The monstrous former Dragon grabbed Desrium as he stabbed at it's chest, a gurgling snarl coming from the beast as it's vertical, jagged-fanged maw spread widely, the writhing tendrils that were the two halves of its neck whipping and flexing as the beast tossed Desrium up into the path of its maw, which then closed in on him, Septimus having disappeared into the darkness of the choked sky...

A pained roar burst from the Manticore's leonine jaws as it doubled back on the spot, the Shadowreaver already where The King wanted it, fireballs and beams of energy raining in on the shadowy beast from all directions as a burning jet of red flames burst forth, the flames seeming not to simply burn, but literally consume whatever it touched, be it flesh, bone, armour or energy, the fire growing larger and hotter as a result, just as a whitish purple fireball smashed into the Shadowreaver's head, the Valenhadian Knight Commander soaring past overhead on drake-back...

Andruil helped his Zuppolandian comrade to his feet as their foe finally fell, before the two charged back into the fray, assisting their fellow warriors wherever possible...

In a blur of movement, a shape slammed into Andruil, knocking him away from his comrade as they charged forward. As Andruil tumbled over, the creature that had tackled him leaped over his prone form and landed on the other side: Sammael. The Hellhound roared a challenge at Andruil, as several more copies of the Demon emerged from the mutated throng, snarling bestially...

Zazikel did not bother moving, instead sending another wave of negative energy at the wyvern to stall his charge. "You really must do better than that, my friend," he rumbled with a guttural laugh...

Discord snorted, then sat down in mid-air, crossing his arms. "Well, this isn't how I planned my vacation. I guess we'll both just sit here until YOU die..."
