Already the downsides of Radamand's new form became apparent. Both mutants and Shadowreavers alike took interest in this enormous new threat, bombarding his form with so many magical and physical attacks that he could not contend with them all. Although he could take the damage, he was not indestructible. The leviathan snatched a mutant gryphon spewing chaotic energy on him out of the air and crushed it into a fine paste in his clawed hand, before smashing said limb into another crowd of Shadowreavers.

Meanwhile, the thickness of the fog continued to grow worse with each passing second around Arashi. Soon, the dragon could not even see the other mages that surrounded him.

The same was occurring with Septimus and Desrium. Their vision of the battlefield was becoming more and more obscured. Suddenly, a large black shape smashed into Desrium, throwing him off the dragon's back and into the darkness below. For Septimus, it would seem as if Desrium was no more. No matter how much the dragon searched, the Blood Omen would not be found in the darkness or even on the battlefield. For Desrium, he would fall not into the waiting hordes of Shadowreavers or mutants or allies, but instead into a massive clearing, scarred from battle, but devoid of all signs of life. Not even the sounds of battle would reach the Blood Omen.

Icil's eyes were filled with tears. She didn't want to stop at all: in fact, she wanted to run faster. The succubus heeded the warning, however, and skidded to a halt.

Cyris fired a bolt at the strange warrior, landing in the stomach of the undead humanoid. The elf then pulled out her dagger, ready for a battle...

A large horde of shadowreavers assaulted Radmand's massive new form, akin to how ants swarming over larger prey. Shadow magic, claws, teeth, and demonic blades tore at his hide, attempting to overcome their gargantuan, but no doubt delicious, foe...

Kard came up beside Icil.

"Let us fight Cyris TOGETHER, here and now. If we fight her seperately, she will defeat us easily. But, with some teamwork, we may overcome this monster," Kard said to his young, rash, but still likable partner...

The bolt elicited a grunt from the zombified warrior, but he continued his advance, not even stopping to pull out the arrow. When the zombie got in close, the warrior swung his mace, aiming for Cyris...

For the second time Desrium smashed into the ground with earth shattering force, throwing up dust and rubble from beneath his metal feet, unharmed by the fall. The dissipating cloud of debris revealed the armored being standing, peering out into the darkness and observing the oddities of his situation. The bodies he saw before were nowhere to be found. The cries of war and the powerful thumping of his friend's wings were muted completely. He was for all intents and purposes, alone in the dark.

But he knew that within the Lance of the Justicar, Inarius stood with him. Be this illusion or reality, the former Justicar would light his way and guide him through.

Zazikel grinned. "If you insist..." with a mighty roar, he charged towards Nitsunobue like a demonic freight train, wreathed in negative energy...

The Hellhound Bassunka hit tumbled forward, stunned by the sudden lack of hind legs. The other two, however, were not easily outmaneuvered. They both leaped over their fallen comrade, one hitting Bassunka in the chest with a head-on collision, knocking him to the floor, while the second moved to flank, just in case...

Sammael suddenly stopped pacing for a moment, then thrust his head forward, long tongue whipping out and striking Andruil's leg, wrapping around it...

Nitsunobue responded to Zazikel's roar with his own roar, before he rushed towards Zazikel's horns lowered to gore. The two aimed at each other, and who would come out on top would be decided with good old melee combat...

A somewhat creepy smile spread across Cyris as she grabbed the mace where the head and the handle met, surprisingly not being thrown to the side by the force of the weapon. The elf then prepared to yank the weapon from the undead warrior's hands, planning on using it to her advantage...

Icil watched in awe, fascinated by the strength of the corrupted elf...

Before Cyris could yank the massive weapon from the undead warrior's hands, the massive brutish zombie pulled Cyris to him using his weapon, before he delivered a powerful to Cyris' face....

Kard turend to Icil.

"Let's go help that zombie out.... I'd rather deal with him that deal with Cyris!" Kard said before he rushed towards Cyris...

Cyris attached her dagger to her crossbow. The arms of the weapon folded to the sides, forming a sort of spear. The elf then slammed her "spear" into the zombie's forehead, the blade burrowing through his skull. Cyris yanked the "spear" downwards, attempting to destroy the undead's face...

Jerrin stood in his room contemplating what his nightmare mean't, his light blue eyes drifting across his dark room. The dream had revealed the one he hunts, Claudius the sole ruler of the Forsaken tribe of vampires that destroyed his clan and his family. Enraged, Jerrin lifted his chair off the ground with one hand and shattered it against the wall of his room his eyes emitting crystal blue light. Breathing heavily, the White Fang now knew why he had chased, hunted, and killed the Forsaken. The bloodsuckers have taken everything from him and anyone that would have known about it were ashes against the wind by now. After 290 years Jerrin finally knows what happened to him all those centuries ago. With a stern expression on Jerrin's face he began to suit up, putting on each individual part of his crimson armor with care. It was something of a ritual before each of his hunts the Lycan would place his armor on with a sense of duty. Fully suited, Jerrin exited his room and headed down the near deserted hallway, save for a woman who stared at him with fear in her small innocent eyes. Continuing out of the Inn, Jerrin looked up into the sky and knew that the hunt was to begin shortly...

Arashi paid the darkness no mind, knowing it was a distraction, instead focusing on maintaining the channelling, using the established direction and pattern to maintain the course of the channelled energies, so that the darkness could not throw him off course...

Septimus glanced back below him, looking for Desrium until he realised it would be hopeless in this darkness. Almost instinctively, the Dragon arced into a vertical ascent, his massive wings powering him upwards at high speed, hoping to rise above the shadows, keeping in mind the distance he covered as there was no way of telling how far off the ground he was in this unnatural, light-consuming black fog...

Andruil was quick to react, pulling his leg back as his blade swung down, severing the tongue as it struck at him, leaving the demonic muscle to writhe on the floor at his feet...

Bassunka's clawed gauntlet struck up into the hellhound's throat as it collided with his chest, the Zuppo General being knocked to the floor and rolling backwards so that he pinned the hellhound clone beneath him, a powerful punch caving in the creature's face with relative ease as Bassunka rose to his feet, already bracing for the inevitable impact of the second hellhound's retaliation...

As Nitsunobue charged, Zazikel abruptly rose onto his hind legs, grabbing the wyvern's horns in his claws and stopping Nitsunobue's charge. With a twist of his body, the Archdemon threw his opponent to the side, letting him slide a few meters, before landing back on all fours, snorting angrily...

Sammael's tongue was just a distraction, and in the time it took for Andruil to take a step back and cut it off, the Hellhound had already been moving forward, moving low, zooming past Andruil at speeds only a Demon could attain, and tripping the warrior with an outstretched forelimb, knocking him on his face, before the Hellhound vanished back into the chaos around them...

While Bassunka had been expecting the second Hellhound to attack, instead it continued to stalk him. By the time the warrior got up, the injured Hellhound, its hindlegs still maimed and struggling to regenerate, used its tongue to pierce his leg with the foul Demonic barb at its tip...

Andruil had been expecting a blow to come at him, and his shield managed to absorb a fair amount of force of the impact, the Knight skidding somewhat as he turned towards where the beast had retreated, placing his shield on his back, his hand flexing as he flipped his blade in one hand, preparing for the next attack. These pathetic hit and run tactics were quickly becoming tiresome...

Bassunka's tough armoured leggings managed to withstand the blow, the hit slipping off at an angle as a result of both the durability and the perpetually wet nature of the armour, though there was a degree of damage to the scale-like plates. The General swiftly impaled the beast's tongue with his bladed staff, pinning it in place almost the moment it deflected off his armour, the Zuppo General drawing a pair of jagged, semi-translucent blades, walking over to the trapped beast and driving one blade through it's skull...

Nitsunobue growled, rolling himself back onto his feet, locking his gaze onto Zazikel.

"That all, Archdemon? I expected more... flash in your melee tactics," Nitsunobue snarled as he stomped towards Zazikel...

The undead warrior grunted, grabbing the crossbow "spear" in his hands, before he pulled it out of his face, dust crumbling out from his wounded head. The undead warrior struck forward with the butt of his mace, aiming for Cyris' head...

Kard soon moved around the two battling warriors, waiting for a good time to strike Cyris...

Draxon was a bit silent this early in the morning. A pair of guards soon greeted the lycan.

"Welcome, stranger. You seem like you have business to take care of."

Jerrin spotted the guards and was surprised to see them expecting most of them to be away in the war.
"Sadly it seems I missed my window of open hunting. Would any of you care to join me in Coven hunting?" the Lycan asked wondering how interested they would be in vampire hunting...

"We would love to," the guard on the left replied. "But we are bound to the state, and must serve our duties as the Royal Guard. Perhaps another time, brave hunter."

The second one soon spoke up.

"What are you hunting, my friend?"

Jerrin looked at the guards his eyes becoming a vivid and intense blue startling the second guard.
"I hunt scoundrels of the night, I hunt vampires. They have plagued me my entire my life and I have sworn to dispose of these vermin." Jerrin said his eyes soon returning to a lighter shade of turquoise. Jerrin's emotions were directly connected with the color of his eyes changing to a different shade of blue for each emotions...

The arms of the crossbow spear spread out as Cyris loaded it with a bolt, evading the butt of the mace, slamming the blade into the zombie's stomach before firing the bolt at the same time, twisting the weapon, intending on ripping the undead warrior's stomach. The elf pulled the arrow out and then proceeded to slam it into the chest of the beastly creature, trying to skewer his heart.

The darkness surrounding Desrium seemed to part slightly, a shape embedded in the ground barely visible at the edge of the Blood Omen's vision. Stuck in the ground blade-first was Desrium's jagged blade...

No matter how fast Septimus moved, he did not seem to be getting any farther or closer to the ground, perpetually stationed in mid-air. Soon, the cries of his allies reached his ears, accompanied by the sounds of their destruction.

Desrium stared at his former weapon unmoving. He had good reason to be cautious and untrusting of the abrupt appearance of the sword. It was enchanted by the Traitor God's malefic influence and used to restrain him. There was still more to the Blood Omen's inaction towards his once cherished blade. He was aware of the atrocities he committed in the past; with the jagged blade being his instrument of terror. In the wake of Zuppoland's sinking, the armored being was driven into a perpetually maddened state of existence...

He had no ability to control his magical capability as he did now and so the island nation's Mana Well overwhelmed him when he attempted to feed upon it, empowering him with unstable energies that ultimately resulted in a negation of magic all together at Desrium's whim. The expanding wall of energy sapped all mana around him, rendering The Order's mages powerless and finally destroying the island's foundations, plunging it into the sea. Desrium himself would find himself upon Aster's shores in the days after, his mind ruined by his encounter with such raw magic. Feral and rabid, the armored being became a harbinger of tragedy. Settlements he came across embedded him in their folklore, turning him into a warning tale about the dangers of the world. Some proclaimed him a demon and recorded the legends the Council of Mercutio would use to learn about their contracted target. It was only when the Blood Omen's inner energy faded did his bestial reign end, when he returned to the ocean to slumber for years upon years before reemerging anew...

This blood stained history was given a physical form by the very sword impaled within the dead land in front of him...
