Fatalis remained silent, deciding to spare the Raptors present the reality of why the paralysed one was being kept alive, instead considering how best to apply the shredded leaves. The wound would likely have begun to heal by now, so it wouldn't take in the contents of the leaves properly. but the Raptor couldn't eat, so swallowing it wasn't an option either. "Do you think she'd be able to take in the leaves if they were shredded and put in the water?" he inquired...

Crusher stepped into the dark cave, his pupils dilating as he entered the darkness of the cavern, hearing the sound of tearing and ripping somewhere within, his eyes soon settling on a 22 foot Megaraptor, the Neovenatorid snarling constantly as it tore apart a dead Raptor, gulping down chunks, occasionally hissing and tossing a chunk in its mouth at a wall, a sickening splat being heard as a bloody smear was left on the wall, the chunk of flesh dropping to the floor. As Crusher approached, he ducked down, wary of threats. He smelled others, but did not see or hear them, and their scents were somewhat staler than this one's scent, as if they had departed. Deciding it would be best to leave before they returned, he began to back away. Suddenly, a snort was heard, the creature's head snapping round as it hissed threateningly, it's shimmering eyes and bloodstained maw intimidating to any who saw it. Crusher's yellow eyes gained a tint of red along its edges, realising his situation had just become considerably more complicated. The Megaraptor turned to face him, stalking towards him, arms outstretched, talons glinting dangerously in the low light of the cave as a hissing rattle could be heard coming from the creature, Crusher bracing himself, opening his jaws, flashing his own set of deadly fangs as a rattling, rumbling snarl reverberated in his chest; the beginnings of the thundering snarl that would define him as an adult. The young Rex stepped to the side slightly, making sure he was clear of obstacles as he continued to make some space for himself...He had a bad feeling it would not simply let him leave...

"Perhaps, if you could get her mouth open," Sharpclaw said. "She stiffened up greatly in the past few hours. I fear the venom has done something worse, but I haven't seen any difference in her behavior."

"How've you been keeping her hydrated if you can't get her mouth open?" asked Fatalis, raising a brow...

As Crusher took one more step towards the exit, the Megaraptor lunged, the Allosaur-like predator charging with the intent of killing the young Tyrannosaur. Crusher had other plans however. Growling ferociously, the Rex stepped sideways before swinging his head in on the charging predator, the bite landing on its head, but failing to get a good grip, nonetheless leaving a host of gashes from halfway along the beast's snout to the base of its neck, the predator snarling angrily as it spun round, jaws snapping inches from Crusher's own throat, the larger predator furious that it had let him gain the advantage for a moment...

"That is the unusual part," Sharpclaw said. "The past day, we have not been able to hydrate her, but she seems fine. It's like... the venom is preserving her. Keeping her alive..."

"Help me get these leaves in her mouth. I'll tell you why this is happening to her afterwards" hissed Fatalis, deciding to put off the explanation until after the Raptor was treated...

Crusher reared back as the bite was made, missing him by mere inches, the young Rex using the backwards momentum to lift a foot up, kicking the larger predator in the chest and causing a vicious gash along its underside, a screech of pain coming from the predator as it reared upwards and moved to the side, trying to avoid any more damage to its stomach, Crusher already pressing his advantage as he rammed into it's side, trying to knock it off its feet. The Megaraptor wasn't so easily brought down however, its footing having been adjusted as it sidestepped, allowing it to remain stable, countering with its own push, knocking Crusher away and giving itself some space, a rattling hiss coming from the beast as it moved for another attack...

Sharpclaw nodded, leaning down and gingerly nudging at the paralyzed female's snout. She was stiff as a board. With a grunt, the albino attempted to pry his patient's jaws open with his foreclaws, but it was slow going. They were already hanging slightly slack, fortunately, but the jaw muscles seemed locked in place, with only a bit of give. "How long will this take to work, if it DOES work?" Sharpclaw asked as he slowly attempted to open the raptor's mouth...

Fatalis held the shredded leaves over the Raptor's mouth, dropping the narrow strips in the narrow gap. "Not too long. a half hour at most. Effects will be immediate, but gradual. She will be stiff for a while after that, and may be slow to react for a few hours before she's fully recovered" he hissed calmly, shredding more leaves and adding them to the shreds already in the Raptor's muzzle. "See if you can't get her to swallow some water. It'll work a lot faster in her stomach than on her tongue" he added...

"I will... take your word for it," Sharpclaw growled, though he didn't seem very convinced. "I will go get some water now. I'd rather not drown her in the process, so I can't give her too much, however..."

Fatalis nodded to the Raptor as he watched his 'patient' with concern...

Crusher meanwhile was locked in combat with the Megaraptor, the creature making progress against the young Tyrannosaur, hammering him with attack after attack, Crusher's body dotted with a myriad of wounds that would eventually form scars, though the Tyrannosaur had done no less to his opponent, the Megaraptor's face covered in cuts from a barely avoided skull-crushing bite, its flanks badly mangled and a chunk of its tail missing. The Megaraptor suddenly lunged forwards, the force of the blow knocking Crusher off his feet, landing on the floor heavily, the Megaraptor leaping forward with the intent of finishing him, as Crusher eyed a Stalagmite only a couple of feet away from him. With a rattling snarl the young Rex rolled onto his back, feet poised to meet his attacker, kicking up at it's stomach, gutting it in an instant as it fell forward, his jaws clamping shut around its neck, the Tyrannosaur kicking the creature off him once its weight settled on his feet, the force of the move breaking its neck and flipping the Megaraptor over him, neck still locked in Crusher's mouth, before landing sideways onto the stalagmite, impaled on the formation, the beast laying lifeless as Crusher panted for breath, a pool of the creature's blood flowing out around them...

Shade began to hunt, attempting to sniff out any scent of her next victim that happened to be in the air. She could hear the yelps of a adolescent Minmi. From what she could smell, the mother was not around... as of yet. The Carcha began to step towards the young ankylosaurid, licking her chops slightly as she prepared to attack...

Tsar snapped his maw full of 6 inch bone-crushing teeth around the Allosaur's leg, shattering the bone into small painful splinters. The smaller carnivore stretched its long neck skywards and bellowed into the heavens, only to have his fully flush and exposed neck shredded by another bite from Tsar. A fine pink mist shot out of the severed flesh where the bull Rex had bitten and sprayed across his maw. Satisfied that he had retained control of his territory, he dropped the lifeless frame of the Allosaur, and sent out a bellow of victory that scattered a small flock of Dryosaurs.

Xanthe gave a long stretch and rose to his feet, flexing cramped muscles. His stomach had just reminded him that he'd gone hungry to feed his mate; and though the corpse of the Giga was nearby, he would leave that to be picked over by his pack and scavengers. He needed to stretch his legs in a proper hunt. The bites the Giga had landed in their fight were painful, but hadn't done much damage where they were placed. His shoulder had been wrenched in its attempt to break his arm, and his hip had several shallow graze marks where the other predator's teeth had broken the skin, hit bone and glanced off, but he had still been able to fight - so he would still be able to hunt. The alpha male gave his mate a nuzzle and murmured, "Keep an eye on things. I'll be back shortly." Savarna watched him go, before turning back to keep an eye on the pack.

Xanthe placed each massive foot confidently, completely at home in the territory he knew so well. His pack was safe for now, and the Spinosaurs were a threat to deal with another day, when their leader became too assured of himself and slipped. For now, food was priority, and there was a good chance that prey could become scarce with two large packs in close proximity. The thought of going to see if there was anything left of the sauropod briefly crossed Xanthe's mind, but was pushed aside after a moment's consideration. There likely wouldn't be anything worth eating on that carcass at this point.

The black and gray alpha paused at the edge of the trees and cocked his head to consider his options. He didn't want to tackle anything too big, as the pack had a huge corpse to feed off of at their leisure...but...a young Corythosaur looked promising. It wasn't a hatchling, but nor was it quite fully grown yet. perfect. Xanthe blinked slowly, golden eyes ever watchful as his target came closer. Just as he was preparing to ambush his chosen prey, a familiar scent reached him. Raptors were rushing forward on silent feet, quickly closing the gap between themselves and...the same young animal.

There were five of them. As he watched, the black one in the lead gave a massive leap and drove her claws deep into the flank of the Corythosaurus. Its screamed alarm call caused the rest of the herd to scatter. The scent of blood reached him and made his mouth water, but Xanthe forced himself to be patient. He'd forced raptors off kills before. They'd try to make a stand but ultimately have to flee - it was just a matter of there being a kill first. He waited as the pack attacked again and again, their prey having been abandoned to its fate by panicked adults, who were milling in the distance, letting out wary noises.

A final gurgle draw Xanthe's attention as one of the raptors scored a decisive blow. As the Corythosaurus fell and drew its last breath, and the raptors started to settle in to eat, the alpha made his move. Smoothly, unhurriedly, he strode out of the cover of the trees and gave a low snarl to announce himself. As the raptors looked up and froze, he could practically see their thought process - they were tired and hungry, but uninjured, and he was many times their size. There would be other kills. One by one they slunk off cautiously, not taking their eyes off of him. To make sure they got the message, he ran forward a few steps and snapped at the tail of the last of them, which sent them all scattering. His prize secured, Xanthe gave a satisfied growl and planted one foot on the carcass, bending down to tear into the still-warm body

Darkwing circled low over a pack of Eoraptors chewing on a rotting stegosaur. The didn't even hear her. A few seconds before one of the small dinosaurs poked its head up and looked into the sky as a black shadow knocked its breath out and carried it up int othe sky.

Erosion sprinted through the low jungle, panicked. She had been stalking an old dryosaur for two days now, and moments before the kill, some irritated Tyrannosaur had blown up the jungle around him with roars of victory. Erosion had frozen when the tyrant bellow. Thats when it started chasing her.

Tsar, still running on huge pulses of adrenaline from his fight with the allosaur, decided it was best to chase the Dilophosaur past the low treeling that marked the edge of his territory. He has passed there some time ago. Frustrated, he slowed to a trot and roared out at the small carnivore to ensure it stayed away.

Within the depth of the cavern the deep breathing of a large predator could be heard. A predator at rest and in no rush to wake as the sun shone across the threshold. Down the walls and along the floor trickled a network of tiny streams, the titan's body dampened from being inside. The peace was broken by a faint chirping at the cave entrance as a miniscule creature dropped to the floor. "Hey.... hey wake up..." chirped the little archaeopteryx. Her bright red feathers glistening in the sunlight as she nipped at them preening. When there was no response she raised her head quizzicaly "Dont make me come in there big guy", she continued to chirp obnoxiously. Still no response from the huge predator as she wandered further into the cavern. "Greeeeey... Grey.... wake up Grey..." she proceeded to repeat in the most annoying way possible as she climbed onto his massive snout her claws clinging inside the beast's nostrils. The intrusion in his nostrils was enough to stir him but still he didnt wake, wanting to sleep. Over the course of the next few minutes the bird like dinosaur crawled up the massive head and towards the super predators ears. "Grey! WAKE UP!", she let out a shrill cry, that under normal circumstance wouldnt have hurt, however with her proximity it was more then enough to wake up as he jumped suddenly bellowing in anger.

Grey threw his head left and right looking for the foolish creature that had encroached on the tyrannosaur's dwelling. "Whoa whoa Grey, calm down its me, its me Flare, Flaaaare." The archaeopteryx clung desperately not wanting to get thrown off. "Remember? Flare?" She inquired chirping. Sure enough Grey settled down in the darkness as the familiar sounds of his accomplice. Snarling and huffing Grey yawned his throat rumbling and the muscles of his neck quivering. "Come on big guy, lets get some food." Flare chirped crawling her way up to the top of the rex's head. Grey grumbled in awknowledgement and began to walk forward his massive muscular mody quivering all over with each step as he stretched out. "Im sure will find something to drag back here, let's hurry the others are starving," flared squeaked in declaration referring to the whole archaeopteryx colony. Grey only replied with another grumbled and as he came to the cavern entrance and into the sunlight he winced at the glare. His whole body becoming revealed no longer in the darkness of the cave. Countless scars covered his pale hide and his massive muscular bulk proved to be an imposing sight. One of the few first generation tyrannosaurs that still thrived, Grey had survived through the most violent and brutal encounters. However other predators werent his problem. His strength and size was beyond most of kind, caused by an unfortunate discovery in his youth becoming "plagued" by the polluted waters caused by the human abandonment of the island. Long addicted to the chemical waters, he had lost most of his mind throughout his life.

His black and red eyes adjusted and focused on his surroundings, scanning the landscape of his territory at the foot of his elevated cavern in the side of a mountain. Innumerable bones and rotting carcasses dotted his territory. All either prey he had stolen from other territories, or animals who inadvertantly wandered into his domain. However none of the meat was satisfying. He has finished his last meal and nothing was left but the bones while other carcasses were far too putrid to feed on. It was nessecary yet again to find new prey, which really wasnt a problem, as his mind was essentially one-tracked. "Well lets go Grey, we cant stand here forever." Flare scraped the top of his head with her insignificant claws trying to get the predator's attention. Jets of hot vapor shot from Grey's nostrils as he snorted, not really paying attention as he began moving down the shallow slope from his cavern.

Again satisfied, Tsar turned his muscular, hulking fram back towards his home. That is, untill he lifted his nose, and caught the scent of another bull rex. His legs spread apart, tail protruding twoard the sky, he bellowed out at the other bull, challengeing it.

Erosion slowed, and settled herself into a low moss field. She blended well with the foilage, and feeling safe, chirped out a call for her packmate. She didn't know this area well, and going alone would be dangerous.

Once the young Rex had gathered his breath, he got to his feet, knowing this animal's packmates would likely return soon. He had to leave quickly, and find a stream to throw off his trail. That in mind, he made his way for the exit, rushing to put the cave behind him, swiftly departing as he sprinted into the undergrowth, wary of his footing...

Rotting logs splintered with each step the old rex took, most likely trees that had been broken and trampled throughout his life. Though in truth, he couldnt remember. The trivial things of his past were long erased, and he had no care for them. His head swiveled carefully left and right through the air, his singular mindset only wanting prey. However with the wind blowing the way it was there were no scents he could track, his olfactories only catching the stagnant air of his territory behind him. Such a disadvantage on his hunt had little effect on his temperment and he continued onwards, his eyes darting all around with casual shifts of his head. Taking in every sight and every sound was his only way to find prey at the current moment, but so far nothing would even put a dent in his hunger, as smaller species scampered in fear.

It was then that a roar caught his ears and he paused momentarily in stride turning his head to the direction of the source. "Oooh, what was that you think?" Flare squawked obnoxiously. "Sounded like one of you big ones didnt it?" Grey however was not nearly as interested as the miniscule archaeopteryx that sat comfortably atop his skull. With a snort and a pair of vaporous jets escaping his nostrils he moved on casually. The invitation for combat was little more than a distraction, and more over, one he was not obligated to answer. "Oooh you... always about food... food and 'friends'... well i cant really complain... free meal and no work is fantastic in my opinion... honestly though your own territory would be far more efficent if you just-" Flare squeaked and chirped, and by the sound of it, she was not planning to stop anytime soon. As her chattering continued for another few minutes it was suddenly silenced abruptly by a threatening and disapproving growl from the predator many times Flare's size. "Okay, okay... I'll keep quiet, but im going to watch you're back, i dont trust the owner of that-" Grey interrupted with another low growl and Flare was immediately silenced as she spread her wings and took a quick glide down to his back. From there she kept look out, so that her partner and meal ticket wouldnt get blindsided by another predator. The hunt continued undisturbed for now as Grey kept his eyes and ears alert and his olfactories ready to catch the slightest scent of prey.

Tsar was locked onto the old rex. He sat at the edge of a thick treeline, waiting to get a good angle. Just then the windshifted, and the other bull's scent filled his nostrils. Tsar took one slow deep breath, his left leg stepped slightly forwards, then he rearead back, let out the breath in a massive bellow and a flash of serrated rows of teeth, he then bolted forwards and broke the treeline.

Erosion stopped her chirped calls for her packmate when she felt slight vibrations in the ground. "Strange..." She thought, not smelling anything else around.

Putting the cave behind him, Crusher made his way for a nearby pond he had smelled on the way here. The scent of stagnant water, and the lack of the unique sounds of a river or stream had led him right here. It was conveniently shallow, inadequate for crocodiles or other marine reptiles, though that by no means meant the water was absent of life. frogs and insects of numerous types swam, hopped and skated across the water's surface, and birds fed on fruits and insects in the trees against a backdrop of avian, mammalian and saurian calls, the natural orchestra enchanting to any who heard it, further accentuated by the marvel of light and colour generated by the sunlight lancing through the trees. The Rex would consider it peaceful and comforting, were it not for the fact he was trying to lose the trail of potential pursuers. Wasting no time, he let himself become submerged in the water, washing away the scent of blood and death from his hide, climbing out on the other side, hopefully free of the scents they would be tracking him by, before continuing onwards in search of safer territories....unaware that one of his pursuers had already found him...and now proceeded to tail him...

It wasn't long before Fatalis saw the female Raptor tended to, making sure she was watched and cared for, before departing from the pack's company. He needed to stake out the location of this Troodon pack, as well as get a breather. The dullness of pack life was almost cancerous, and it had swiftly begun to affect his mood. He needed a break from these.....boring creatures...

Shade ambushed the Minmi with quite success, wrapping her maw around its head, placing her foot onto its back. The young ankylosaur was quite helpless at this situation, and its herd had left it all alone...
