Al had returned to the nest to see Smash drying in the sun. Al waded in the shallow end of the lake. It was a very hot day.
Smash growled something to herself so Al couldn't hear "I hate these stupid hot days..."

Steeltalon shrugged and nodded. She didn't voice what she was thinking, that it was her territory, and laid her head back down to rest.

Darkness finished his kill and left it for the scavengers. He arrived back at the cave and saw that the two other raptors looked like they had stayed silent. Darkness sighed and layed down in his sunny spot. He rolled onto his back, and closed his eyes...

green eye woke from his brief rest. the heat had woken him up and he was thristy. he led his family to a river and checked to make sure that there weren't any koolasuchas in it. after they were satisfied, the famil returned to their territory.

Darkness awoke, having fallen into a light sleep. He snarled and rolled onto his side. He got up, yawning in the process. He looked over and saw Steeltalon and Sandstorm resting. He slugishly walked over to the stream and lapped up the water. He then slid into the water, trying to wake himself up. Darkness swam back and forth in the calm waters, still bored, back happy he found something to ammuse himself...

Snadstorm lazily watched some flys buzzing around, then he heared some splashes coming from the stream, curious he looked over and his jaw dropped He barked "Darkness! you can swim brother! where'd you learn that!" He was amazed, he hadnt seen much raptors who could swim, even though he always wished that he himself could....

Darkness came out of the water and looked at Sandstorm. I used to escape into the water when I was on my own...it kinda came naturally... he growled, surprised yet happy at this question...

Steeltalon got up slowly, her stiff joints cracking, and made her way over to a fern-sheltered cave of tree roots, wanting to be alone for a little while. She curled up, relaxed by the soft earth, and gave a soft sigh. Her eyes slowly closed as she started to fall asleep.

Darkness saw that Sandstorm had no more to ask, so he decided to leave and go visit an old friend. He needed advice about his situation, his feelings for Steeltalon.

Darkness bolted into the jungle toward the raptor cave. Sharpclaw was who he needed to see. He came to the cave after a while of running, and walked inside, the sentries remembering his patterns. Darkness looked around for Sharpclaw, but couldn't find her. Where is she... he growled, looking around the vast cave...

Switchblade giggled with a small squeak and sighed with relief relaxing a bit. "I wonder if that little white raptor is still there." She thought of her nerve racking trip through the dark jungle and shivered. "I think I'm ready," she squeaked, still slightly nervous about the other dinosaurs that might lurk in the denser part of the woods.

SharpClaw was sleeping with RawHide on the bottom. Things worked very well for them and she hoped that it stayed this way. Suddenly, she heard this bark coming from one of the sentries. She growled and rolled over, not wanting to wake up. There was that stupid bark again! SharpClaw snarled and finally got up. "What is it?! Can't you see I am try to get some sleep," she snarled, not in one of her best moods.

"Darkness is here to see you," said the sentry, and scurried away before she could get more angry.

Darkness, she thought and went looking for him. Finally, she spotted him looking for her. "Over here," she barked.

Its about Steeltalon... Darkness growled, feeling oddly comfortable talking to Sharpclaw about it. I am not even sure if she has feelings for me...and....I don't know what to do to find out....or if I should say something to her...and I need advice. he growled, staring at the ground...

scarback was still resting when he heard that darkness was here. scarback looked and could see darkness was consevering with sharpclaw. deciding not to interupt sharpclaw, scarback ignored the conversation.
