Darkness immediatly put his head down to the hatchling, nuzzleing it slightly. He layed down where he stood, wanting to guard the hatchling as it explored. Darkness made a low growl and layed his head down, watching the hatchling, the triumph only continueing to build.

Goldfang continued to search franticly for Fatalis. He could smell him, he was not far. The pain from the fight with Reaper still hung over him. He managed to resist the pain barely, Fatalis was more important. He had to find him. He followed Fatalis's scent towards an area he had seen before. He finally came to a cave. Goldfang stopped, this cave was one he had seen before. He knew it who was in that cave, Midnight. Goldfang decided to check, hopefully Fatalis was just hiding. Goldfang had never met Midnight before but what Fatalis had told him, Midnight was bad news. He crept inside and then hid behind the nearest pillar and peered around to see the conversation...

The hatchling hopped over to Sandstorm and Shadowleaf, trying to remember their scent. It was different from his parents'. He went over to a young raptor, a Lili and a spinosaur, blinking curiously.

Silver smiled at the little hatchling. It was cute how he wanted to see everything and he was barely a day old.

Darkness leaned forward, uneasy about the hatchling's wandering. He made another low growl, trying to get the hatchling's attention.

Ghost looked at the Exploring hatchling, it was so fragile looking not much unlike his own hatchlings. Bloodfrenzy and Moonbeam both looked at the hatchling and chirped in excitement at the arrival of another hatchling, but dared not moveagainst their father's wish for them to stay away.

Switchblade snapped back to her senses, and quickly lifted her head back up. "Huh? Oh, no... uh no, it's nothing really. I'm fine" She tried a smile, but it seemed reluctant to come. She sighed. "I'll be okay. Maybe I'm still stressed out over hitting that tree." She chirped, but only half believed her own words. She hoped her expression didn't give away her true feelings. She peered at a tiny, but bold hatchling who had come close to her, Silver and Redtooth. She couldn't resist a small grin at the curiosity of this hatchling.

The hatchling looked at the black raptor and chirped. He hopped over, looking around excpectantly. Steeltalon couldn't hide a small smile at her child's curiosity. He would grow up to be a fine fighter.

"Hey, it was just one time. It's not like it'll happen again," Silver chirped encouragingly.

Switchblade nodded slightly. "Yeah, you're probably right. But I still can't shake the feeling that I could have died if I had hit any harder." This was true. She was still feeling a bit unnerved by the accident. "I mean, if i had twisted my neck or broken it, I could be paralized or dead by now." She gave her body a small shake, trying to get rid of the thought.

Darkness nuzzled the hatchling again, glad he was near him again. He got up slowly and walked back to the nest, making another growl for the hatchling to follow. Darkness layed down by the nest, smiling at Steeltalon before turning back to watch the excited hatchling...

"But you didn't," Silver pointed out. "And you're still here, aren't you?"

The hatchling, seeing nothing of interest happening, soon grew bored. He laid down where he was, his skin color almost matching Darkness'.

Darkness made another growl, this one out of amusement. Even a hatchling this young grows bored fast. He looked into the nest, staring at the remaining hatchlings. One caught his eye. The hatchling had soft red eyes, and seemed to want to adventure like her brother. She has your eyes... Darkness growled, looking up at Steeltalon. He looked back down at the hatchlings, making another growl of amusement as they tryed to venture out of the nest.

Crusher entered the small lake slowly, and rippled his tail to propel him forward through the water, the cool liquid being forced to the sides as his body drifted through. he dove below, submersing his body fully in the water of the lake. after feeling he had been cleaned satisfactorilly, he left the lake and went to start a patrol. his skin glistened as the heat from the morning sun dried him. he started on his patrol, starting from the northern edge and walking in a clockwise direction...

"Run!" barked Midnight as he ran down the mountain side, with the others in hot pursuit. the Bary followed them for a while, but at the bottom of the mountain, it was knocked to the ground with a loud slam. the turned to look to see a very large Carnotaur biting it on the neck, it's foot on the Bary's side and a deep wound in the Bary's neck closer to the head, where the Carnotaur's horn had hit. "Shade!" snarled Fatalis. soon, 2 Raptors showed up. "Fatalis! you're back!". Fatalis turned to see Swift and Amber staring at him happily. they were unusually close to eachother. "Let's go. there are more predators than that chasing us. we need to get to Crusher to make sure they dont follow us". a booming roar was heard as a large Acrocanthosaur showed up near the start of the incline. Shade snarled "Let's go!" as he appeared beside them, blood on his jaws. the Raptors started running, Fatalis easily taking the lead, with Swift close behind him, and Midnight after that, with BloodClaw, BlackStorm only slightly behind ShadowFang, with Shade deliberately taking up the rear, protecting them from any fast attacker. soon, the gap between them and Crusher's North Eastern Border had gone, but the predators were still chasing them, ignoring all territorial borders. to the group's astonishment, in front of them, stood the immense form of the predator they came here to see. the massive Tyrannosaur known as Crusher, was patrolling his territory, and as soon as Shade saw him, he revealed himself and made a roar that caught the Rex's attention immediately...

Crusher turned his head towards the source of the roar, and spotted Shade, Fatalis and a bunch of other raptors he didn't know, one of them looking like Fatalis but with longer feather quills on it's head, reminding him somewhat of a Parasaurolophus, with a feather fan growing on the tail. behind them he could spot movement in the trees. Crusher nodded to the Raptors and Carnotaur as they ran towards him. he growled "Stand behind me. I'll hold them off". the Raptors and Carnotaur did as they were told, hiding behind the massive form of the Tyrant Lizard King. the Acrocanthosaur charged through the trees, with another of it's kind, much smaller than itself, and a Sucho by its side. the Acrocanthosaur, the largest of the three, stepped forward and roared "All we want are the Raptors and the Carnotaur, Rex. stand aside and let us have them, and we will leave". Crusher roared "You are tresspassing on my territory, and i will not give them to you". The Acro snarled and then roared "I'm afraid you misunderstand the situation, Rex. we aren't asking you to give them to us. we're TELLING YOU". a couple of Gigas not too far away raised their heads and looked at the scene as they heard what the Acrocanthosaur had said. "Who do you think? Acro or Crusher?". the other grunted "The Acro's dead. no way for it to win". the first Giga snarled "well, it's not too small. i think it might have a chance". the other Giga grunted "You're not serious...right? that's Crusher we're talking about here!". the first one fell silent, knowing his sibling was right. Crusher roared "Well, if you want them, you'll have to get past me first". The Acro snarled "So be it!". he roared and charged. Crusher snarled "Go to the nest! i'll meet you there!". the raptors nodded, and Fatalis led them to Crusher's nest, while Shade disappeared, and moved away from the main fighting area, but staying close, just incase something didn't go according to plan. Crusher ducked as the Acro neared him, and moved forward, tripping it over his massive body. Crusher stood up, and stared at the Acro, as it got up. it snarled and Crusher made a territorial roar that shook the area. the Sucho immediately turned and ran in the opposite direction, almost out of instinct, while the smaller Acro stood there, fixated at the fight between his father and the Tyrannosaur. Crusher looked at the Acrocanthosaur as it charged at him, only to get knocked to the side by Crusher's massive head. it hadn't fallen, but it was made to run past Crusher, before skidding to a hault and turning around. it walked up to him, and tried to bit him on the leg, but Crusher pounded it on the back once, with enough force to break some of the elongated spines on it's back. it snarled in pain, and was grabbed by the neck. it was at least 20 feet shorter in length than Crusher, at least 10 feet shorter in height, and obviously much lighter, as Crusher had then done something that left all witnesses wide eyed afterwards. Crusher bit down hard on the base of the neck, and heaved upwards, lifting it off it's feet, the Acro squirming as it tried to break free of the massive Tyrannosaur's grip, before being thrown back down like a mere toy, it's body slamming hard as it landed on the ground, several ribs breaking from the impact. Crusher looked down, as it tried it's best to get onto it's feet, but only succeding to turn it's head to look at the Tyrannosaur, as his massive jaws slammed down on it's neck for the last time, crushing the bone with shear force. Crusher turned around to look at the other Acrocanthosaur, to see it still looking on in shock. he snarled "Leave, or you'll suffer the same fate your father faced". the Acro nodded frightenedly, and then turned around and ran off. a booming victory roar echoed throughout the island, and Crusher stared walking towards the nest, Shade following close behind, and the Gigas looking on in pure shock...

Switchblade nodded again and lowered her gaze. "I guess I'm worrying too much again." She smiled sheepishly and glanced at Silver briefly, then looked back at the ground. "I'll try not to do that. But it's hard when you're as nervous as I am."

Then she thought of something she had been wanting to ask Redtooth. "Redtooth, uh can I ask you something about your trip into my old territory?" She asked, wondering if this was a good thing to do.

Steeltalon nodded, purring softly in amusement at their son. The rest seemed to want to join him, and with a sigh Steeltalon relented, lifting the three restless hatchlings from the nest and watching the three hatchlings run over. They started chirping at their father to play.

Silver smiled at Switchblade. "There's no reason to be nervous. At least, not here." She glanced around at each of the raptors and the spinosaur. her gaze settled once again on Switchblade as she assured the young Lili, "Everyone here would fight to the death to defend you and the little ones."

Darkness smirked at the hatchlings and nudged one softly. The tiny creature chirped and ran back toward him. Darkness made a soft growl and layed his head down, allowing the hatchlings to climb onto it. He didn't dare lift his head, but was happy watching the hatchlings jump around.

Switchblade brightened a little. "Thanks. That means alot." She chirped in a quiet, honest tone. "You all have been very good to me. More so than I ever expected."Switchblade looked at all the dinosaurs around her in turn, counting every one of them as a friend, even Darkness. "But I think it's probably just in my nature to be that way. Ever since I left my territory, I've been wary of everything."

Goldfang peered around at the source of what he thought was chatter. As it turned out, it was the sound of insects, small crickets making loud chirping noises inside the cave. It was deserted. Goldfang sniffed the air again. Fatalis's scent came back to him and found that it was not inside the cave but further away from it. He hurried back outside and toward the scent, once again ignoring the temptation to cry out in pain...

Steeltalon watched the four hatchlings jump around Darkness and realized she hadn't named them yet. Her gaze flickered over the pale green female, and Steeltalon drew her breath in sharply. Jade... she remembered, then shook the thought off and looked at the hatchling's eyes. They were a deep, blood red. "Ruby," she decided softly. She looked at the other three, noticing a dark gray male. His claws were a very pale gray. "Darktalon," Steeltalon murmured. She glanced at the third, an orange female with black tiger stripes. "Blackstripe," she growled quietly. That just left one. The dark navy blue male with a white stripe down his spine. Just like Tigerstripe... Steeltalon thought. She decided, "Whitestreak." Steeltalon settled down beside the nest and decided to tell Darkness later.

Darkness growled happily as the hatchlings played on top of him and around him. This was the proudest and happiest moment of his life. Darkness grunted and nudged another hatchling, making it chirp and pounce onto his head. He smiled and continued to watch the excited hatchlings...

Steeltalon purred softly as the hatchlings all pounced on Darkness. Silver was looking as though she wanted to join them, her blue eyes glittering with mischief. Steeltalon found her gaze drawn to Ruby. She couldn't forget how much the hatchling looked like Jade. Blackstripe pounced on Darkness' tail while Darktalon playfully nipped Whitestreak's shoulder. Steeltalon smiled at the young raptors' antics.
