Steeltalon watched, startled. When had Fatalis betrayed Darkness? The confusion turned to cold uncaring. "You forget, Darkness...you don't own the territory." Her tone was dangerously calm. "He's one of my friends." She shifted to a more comfortable position. "He's been visiting since I settled here, until the Shadowraptor episode started up. To tell him he can't do that anymore would be like...losing Silver to another predator. It would hurt us both. It helps to have allies close by. So, you might not like having him here, but you don't have to so much as look at him. He's coming to talk to Sandstorm." Steeltalon rested her head on the side of the nest.

Silver regained her balance and leaped to the ground, growling, "Catch me if you think you can!" She bolted off through the trees.

Redtooth thought for a moment, then hissed, "I think the biggest prey you could easily hunt right now would be anything your size or smaller. It's practically a rule."

[Shadow]

Blizzard watched the raptor drop to the ground and run. Blizzard followed, but he went to the left of where the raptor was running. He did not make a sound and made the raptor think it was not being followed.

[Pyronychus]

"Oh," Switchblade chirped. Then she grinned and said jokingly, "So I guess I won't be hunting therizinosaurs any time soon?"

[TyrannoTitan]

Darkness snarled, his mind tearing itself apart. How he hated that raptor...how he loved Steeltalon...That raptor took his brother away from him! ....He has hatchlings to think about...

Darkness slashed at a tree violently, turning to Steeltalon. Steeltalon....please...do not make me choose! ....I...can't...not after what he did... he growled, his face the saddest its ever been. I can't...let...you... Darkness snarled, slashing the tree again. If...he...hurt...you...killing...him...wouldn't...be...enough! he snarled, turning back to stare at his mate.

"Not by a longshot, Switchblade," Redtooth growled, patting her lightly on the head with one claw.

[Hopeflower]

Silver heard a twig snap to her left and swerved right, smirking. The raptor thought he could fool her. Silver leapt into a tree and ran through the jungle canopy, occasionally laughing out loud.

Steeltalon closed her eyes, resting. She was listening intently for any sounds, or Darkness' reply. When she heard it she growled softly, "He's one of my closest friends, Darkness. He wouldn't hurt me. Besides, what did he do to make you hate him so much?" She lifted her head to stare at her mate.

[Shadow]

Blizzard sped up, running much faster than the raptor and upon hearing a laugh from above, he ran to his right, behind the raptor yet running silently.Blizzard leaped onto a low ledge and continued to run.

[Draco]

Ghost nuzzled Bloodrose, they had returned to their home a short time ago they didn't want to intrude anymore upon Steeltalon and Darkness and they needed to get Bloodfrenzy and Moonbeam home before dark. Bloodfrenzy cuddled up next to Bloodrose and Moonbeam to Ghost and they both went to sleep. Bloodrose looked toward Ghost and gestured that they do the same. Ghost nodded and Bloodrose laid her head upon Ghost's shoulder and Ghost laid his head upon her neck and then they slept.

[Shadow]

Blizzard leaped up to a higher ledge. He had a plan and would spring it when he knew he should. Blizzard ran, following the raptors every move. All he wanted to know was why it was there and what it was doing.

[TyrannoTitan]

Darkness stared at the female, seeing the same thing that happened to him, happening to her. I can't let you...not because of my hatred...because I'm afraid he'll do the same thing he did to me, to you... he snarled, staring wide-eyed at the female. I would never be able to live it down...you can't be hurt like I was...you CAN'T turn into the creature I was! Darkness snarled, stepping closer to Steeltalon. I wouldn't let it happen... he growled, still staring. Darkness couldn't leave either, he did not want to become his parents. He wanted to be here with his hatchlings, to teach them things. If he left now, they would know him like he knew his parents, not even wanting to remember their names. Darkness winced at the thought and continued to stare at Steeltalon, his mind still conflicting.

[Shadow]

Blizzard took every obstacle as it came, where a branch was poking out from a tree, Blizzard leaped over it and continued to run slowing down a little to catch his breath. Blizzard leaped onto a higher ledge and was leveling himself to the raptor who was laughing to itself. This irritated Blizzard but did not delay him for any amount of time.

[Iceking]

scarback decided that he would take over as sentry for an hour or so. he approached a raptor that seemed tired. scarback growled to the rapor:"you can get some sleep. i will take over as sentry for an hour." the raptor nodded in gratitude and entered the cave. it was night on the island and most of the raptors were now asleep. the only raptors still awake were the sentries or those who still hadn't fallen asleep. scarback kept watching and listining for sounds of anything that might be a threat to the pack. blade's coughing could be heard from outside the cave and some of the sentries glanced back quickly before watching what was in front of them and around them. scarback didn't hear any sounds coming from the bushes near by.

[Shadow]

RazorEdge could not sleep. He had tried and tried but he could not fall asleep. RazorEdge got up and walked silently away from the darkness and positioned himself so he could watch the sentry while he rested.

[Hopeflower]

Silver smirked at the raptor and put on a burst of speed, running to the last tree on the edge of the forest and settled down to let the raptor catch up. Her eyes glittered with laughter, until she thought of RawClaw and her happiness died. She cared deeply for the young male, and she wouldn't let this white raptor win her over.

Steeltalon tilted her head to one side, studying the expression on Darkness' face. "I'm sure I won't become what you were again," she murmured. "I'd rather die than turn back into the ruthless murderer I was. But...what did Fatalis do?" She tried to read Darkness' expression, concerned and confused.

[TyrannoTitan]

Darkness grit his teeth. He took my brother away from me...the last person to care about me...I won't let him do the same to you... he snarled, looking away from the female, the pain of remembering his brother back then was unimaginable...

[Shadow]

Blizzard watched as the raptor put on a burst of speed. Blizzard put on his own burst of speed and caught up easily with the raptor. When he saw the edge of the forest he leaped down from tthe ledge and landed perfectly to confront the raptor. "Why are you here?" Growled Blizzard.

[Doc 42]

Shadow leaf was happy when they returned to the caves. Sure it was sad seeing what Clawfist had done, but she now knew that there was no poast anymore, just the future. She had enjoyed the walk as well. They hadnt ran into any trouble the whole time and all was good. When they entered the clearing they could see Darkness and Steeltalon deep in disscussion. Sandstorm went off to the stream for a drink, while Shadow leaf only gave a small bark in greeting, not wanting to disturb them. She curled up below the same tree and Sandstorm climbed up to his ussual branch.

Steeltalon got up shakily, remembering her own brother. She walked over to her mate and rested her head on his shoulder in a comforting way. "My brother's dead," she whispered. "But there's no way in hell I'll ever lose you." She glanced at the hatchlings and lifted her head to gently run her snout down Darkness' neck. "No matter what happens, know I'll always remain by your side. Remember that." She rested her head on Darkness' shoulder again, trying to comfort him with a low purr.

[Iceking]

scarback had been with the sentry's for ten minutes now. the sentries didn't mind that scarback was being a sentry. there hadn't been any sounds that would indicate that something was coming close to the cave. there was also no scent of any raptor or other dinosaur that could be hidden by the darkness as well as the bushes and trees. the pack had now reduced the gali to a skeleton. this would be the last meal until they went hunting again.
