[Pyronychus]

"Actually, this one's my second, but my first one wasn't very good. It was a small compy and I had a harder time killing it than I did with this one."

Switchblade's head swiveled around when she heard Redtooth's voice. "I was showing Sandstorm the compy I killed. Steeltalon gave me a hunting lesson today. Do you like it? I think it's bigger than my last one."

Redtooth smiled and hissed, "I'm very proud of you. That must of been the shriek I heard. Nice work."

[Pyronychus]

Switchblade smiled broadly. "Thanks." she chirped. Then remembering how hungry she was, added,"I think I'll eat it now. I haven't had anything all day." she picked up her prey again and dragged it a few feet away to the shade of a tree. There, she sat down next to it and dug into its flank. I guess I got back at that compy that bit my leg earlier. I wonder if this is the same one. she thought, and tore off another strip of meat.

Steeltalon snickered at Sandstorm and swam back to the shallows, laying on her side and resting her chin on the bank. She closed her eyes as she relaxed. "Darkness and his best friend the rock," she growled jokingly.

[The Kingpin]

Darkness was what he me across when he awoke. his eyes closed, a reddish glow behind them. he tried to open them, but the right eye was stinging beyond belief. he left it as it was, and tried opening the other eye. he saw the green of the jungle around him, monkeys in the trees above feeding off the fruit found in them. he rose,his hefty head hanging slightly from slight exhaustion. he had had very little sleep the previous night. he was constantly having nightmares about his family, their killers and what seemed to by a Giganotosaur. for several days he had been trying to ignore the dreams, but they were getting worse. he decided to straighten up, and decided to head for a stream near the northern part of the territory, to try and wash off his wounds. it was more a river than a stream, just deep enough to reach his stomach while he was standing it. it would help clean off his wounds. maybe afterwards, he'd attempt at opening his right eye again...

A single loud quake echoed through his surroundings. He took another step foreward and the same loud quake came from his feat pounding into the ground. Cloud snorted loudly. He was nervous. He didnt know if he should continue. But he felt he was ready. He quickened his pace and stomped through the trees. He was ready to finally take another territory for himself. He decided that this was going to be it. It was smaller than his old one, but it was big enough for him, and he could expand it latter. Most of it was empty of larger carnivours however a large portion of the area he had decided upon belonged to another Rex. It was a good area. lots of prey, access to water, and according to what he had heard the rex was injured at the moment. He grunted as his eyes flicked around scanning the trees. Even though the rex was injured, it was legendary for its strentgh and ability. He belived he could defeat it though. In its injured state now was the best time. The longer he waited the harder it would become......

[The Kingpin]

he arrived at the small river. the water was clear in this one, since he was near the source of it. he lowered his head and began to drink, gulping mouthful after mouthful of water. after a few gulps, he noticed something. he looked at his reflection in the water. his right brow, once grey, was now black, and his eye was covered in what he expected was burnt blood. his jaws had been caked with layer upon layer of dry blood since his fight two nights ago. he was tired, weak and in need of rest. but his son was too wounded to do patrols, and a single rex couldn't protect the youngsters from all possible attacks. as he was about to dunk his head below the water, a thump attracted his attention. it was something large. and at the rate of the thumps, it was a predator...

Darkness smirked and stroked the rock again, lifting his head in a serious look. He nodded and layed his head back down, snickering. Darkness moved forward, enough to hang his head over the edge of the rock. He stared blankly at the fish. Again. Darkness sighed, bored. He was tired, yes, but he hated his "blank stares" at some random object or creature. Darkness yawned and continued to stare at the creatures below.

Steeltalon snickered and slid under the water with barely a ripple as she swam into the deep part of the stream. She swam downstream until she poked her head above the surface and looked around. She was by the clearing with the pine tree. Steeltalon snickered and swam back upstream, popping up in the deeper part of the stream, swimming aimlessly.

Raw claw shifted slightly on his rock and raised his head looking around for Silver. He felt, strange the past few days, as if he wasnt really here, as if he was just observing. He would just lie down and watch as everyone else went about their business having fun or just talking to each other. He geussed he was probley just getting used to not living with the pack anymore.

Killereye slowly scanned his pack from his position. All around the cave raptors were either talking or eating from their last kill. He smiled proudly. The pack was happy with him incharge. At first when Sharpclaw had suggested him, he had felt nervous and actually regretted complaining about Blade but now that was gone. After the last few hunts the other raptors were confident in his abilities and he was happy as their leader.

Sandstorm twisted his head and hissed to Redtooth "It seems Switch blade is growing up. Seeing as she couldnt face being in the same area with me not to long ago, now not only is she learning how to hunt but she actually came up and talked to me. she would have never done that a few days ago." Shadow leaf walked slowly over to Darkness, making sure Sandstorm wasnt watching and hissed "Darkness, I would just like to say thanks for helping to teach Sandstorm how to swim. Right now he is just going to be all grouchy about it, but he is going to thank you latter......"

Cloud trudged on through the trees, then faintly at first, but then the scent of another rex came strong to him. He swallowed hard and quickend his pace. He was going to have to fight this rex one way or another, and he was ready.......

Softfoot was lying next to the water, the sound relaxing her. She was waiting for the sun to go down before continueing and the stream was perfect for cooling her suspeicsions.

[TyrannoTitan]

No problem. At least someone knew what I was really doing. Darkness growled, nodding at Shadow Leaf. He yawned again and got up, walking to a nearby tree and jumping onto the lowest branch. Darkness layed down, yawning. Much better... he growled, looking down at the group from his branch.

Steeltalon got out of the stream, drippping wet, and casually walked over to Sandstorm. Once she was right in front of him she shook off the water, splattering him and the undergrowth, running off snickering.

Silver jumped from the branch and walked over to Rawclaw, nudging her mate gently. He looked as though he felt out of place.

Got Sandstorm leapt to his feet angrily. This was just too much. First Darkness nearly drowns him, now Steeltalon is being a pain aswell. He snarled and bolted after her. He quickly cought up with the half mutant and pounced at her he landed on her back knocking her over and sending himself sprawling into the under growth. He got up grinning slightly and hissed "Got you back!"

Steeltalon sprang up and snickered. "That was worth it," she purred, lifting her chin triumphantly. "Just to see the look on your face." She snickered again and leapt onto the nearest tree branch, still laughing softly.

[TyrannoTitan]

Rawclaw smiled at Silver and nudged her back, laying his head down. He was still in deep thought, slowly adjusting to life without a pack. Rawclaw closed his eyes and soon was asleep, the smile fading soon after.

Darkness snickered as Sandstorm ran after Steeltalon, lifting his head up to watch the specticle. He made a growl of amusement and layed his head back down. Wait... Darkness growled, lifting his head up suddenly. I'm alone again.... he growled, more amused then anything else. It really must be my fate... Darkness snarled, smirking to himself. And now I'm talking to myself... he growled, laying his head down on the branch, slightly embarrassed.

[Hopeflower]

Steeltalon pretended to be shocked. "Darkness is talking to himself!" she barked, shaking. Then she snickered. "Big surprise." She leapt onto the branch above Darkness' and growled softly, "What're you doing?"

[TyrannoTitan]

Darkness looked up, smirking slightly. Talking to myself. Afterall, I'm the best company to have. he growled, snickering quietly.

He looked up at her narrowing his eyes and gave an amused bark "Well this is certainly a change, I recall you telling me off for that kinda thing not too long ago and now look at you, eh? He shook some of the water and mud off himself and sprang into a different tree, catching onto the bark with his claws and pulling himself onto a branch. He moved from branch to branch suddenly feeling active and wanting to just sprint somewhere....

[Pyronychus]

Switchblade saw Sandstorm bolt after Steeltalon and panicked for an instant until she realized it was just for fun. She smiled slightly at her own jumpiness and turned back to her compy. She grinned and growled at it. "You bit me..." she swung her head down, digging her teeth in deep and snarled in a muffled voice, "Now I get to bite you." With that she yanked hard on the compy, tearing its flank completely open, exposing its ribs. With a loud snarl, she broke one of the ribs clean off and flung it toward a tree with a clatter. "Hah! So there!" Then she turned to the group and chirped "Okay, I'm good now," and continued to eat her kill normally.

Redtooth snickered and growled, "It's just a compy, no need to get mad over it."
