Sandstorm thought back to the day before and hissed "Last time I saw him he was talking with you before we left, then Crusher arrived, I grabed a hatchling and followed you....." His voice trailed off as he begun to worry about his freind...

Switchblade slowly half-woke, still not wanting to open her eyes. "Too early. Back to..." she mumbled and yawned. "back to sleep." The Lili curled herself tighter, eyes remaining closed. Her burns had finally begun to heal, and for the first time in days, she was getting some good, restful sleep.

Redtooth smirked as Switchblade spoke, lifting his head from the bank, survaying the area around them. They were downstream, but he didn't know where. Redtooth sighed, still survaying the area for any sign of where they were...

Darkness snarled, seeing the Allosaur again. He didn't slow down, not really paying attention to the beast, more focused on the trail ahead. Darkness scented the air, smelling a farmilar scent. His hopes rised, thinking it could be Sandstorm or one of the others. Darkness continued on at the same pace, still ignoring the Allosaur...

Blade pushed himself as fast as his relatively small body could take him, very slowly starting to gain on the Raptor. he couldn't risk losing a possible food source...

"Darkness?" Steeltalon called, a bit desperately. She listened for a reply.

Raven froze when Steeltalon called into the jungle. "I thought the point of moving was to stay hidden?" he hissed, urging her to be quiet.

Sandstorm listened out for a reply, but none came. There was a deathly silence over them. Shadow leaf blinked, trying to come to terms with what might be happeing. She shook her head clearing it and snarled "Raven is right, we should get moving soon." She knew it was possible, but she didn't think Darkness was hurt. Afterall, he had told her that he was Crushers ally.

"R-right," Steeltalon stammered, shaking her head to try and break out of her daze. She staggered slightly as she turned, unable to understand that Darkness might be injured or worse. She picked up two of the hatchlings without another word and, gesturing for the others to follow her, bolted off along her own bloody, fear-scented trail from five years before.

Raven looked after Steeltalon, unsure of what to do, but soon leapt into the tree and started following. She had seemed disoriented, even unable to think, when she realized Darkness was not there. Maybe she was just so used to seeing her mate around that it had unnerved her when he did not reply.

Darkness continued on, the farmiliar smell becoming stronger. He continued on, happy that he might actually meet up with the others. Darkness looked behind, seeing the Allosaur again. Will it ever give up?! he snarled, continueing to walk while looking back. Suddenly, something burst from the trees, Darkness swinging around and dived out of the way, a massive head falling where he once stood. Darkness got up, getting into an aggressive stance. The beast was a Carchar, a dark colored one. Suddenly, Darkness remembered the beast. Your the ******* that re-broke my leg! he snarled, stepping forward. The Carchar raised its head, coming into full view, staring down at the black raptor. Thats Gigus to you, raptor... he bellowed, smirking at Darkness.

Well, I'm Darkness. Darkness growled, bowing slightly. A pleasure to meet you... he growled, looking back up, smirking. Gigus snarled, getting into an aggressive stance. Do not mock me, you already deserve death, don't make it any worse.... he growled, remaining in the same stance. Darkness rolled his eyes, looking back at Gigus. You aren't the first to say that..."Gigus"... he snarled, snickering. Gigus barred his teeth, walking forward. Darkness got into an aggressive stance, readying himself.

Gigus bellowed, charging forward. Darkness snarled, dodging out of the way, only to be slammed to the ground by Gigus's massive head, the black raptor quickly rising and bolting to the back of the creature. Darkness leaped at the Carchar's flank, digging his killing claws into its flesh, blood trickling to the ground. Gigus roared, preparing to slam his flank against a nearby tree. Darkness snarled in frustration, jumping down just as the Carchar hit the tree, the black raptor running out of the way as the tree came crashing down. Gigus turned, attempting to slam his head into the raptor, Darkness jumping into a tree, landing on the lowest branch. Not going to turn out like last time... he snarled, jumping at Gigus, latching onto his side, leaving more bleeding wounds. Gigus bellowed, shaking his entire body, causing Darkness to fall to the ground, falling on his side. Gigus turned, his head right above Darkness, the black raptor rolling onto his back. Gigus roared and brought his head down, Darkness kicking up, slicing open the Carchar's snout. Gigus roared and backed away, giving Darkness time to get to his feet, panting.

As I said...Not...like last time... Darkness growled, breathing heavily. Gigus barred his teeth at the raptor, but did not attack. Of course it won't be like last time...this time you won't live! he snarled, grinning evily at the black raptor...

Blade saw a large Charca ram into the clearing, nearly killing the Raptor he was following. he charged, wanting to stop it, but veered off at the last minute and leaping, landing face first into a bush. Are you crazy?! that Carcha would squash you without noticing! said a voice in his head. But the raptor didn't kill me when it saw me. in fact, it helped me kill that compy by kicking it. that's as good as saving me. the least i can do is return the favour! he argued. But he didn't kick it intentionally, and he only pulled himself from the prospect of killing and eating you because he has somewhere to go responded the voice. he fell silent and watched the fight...

Grimfang did not know what else to say to Fatalis and Softfoot. "I should leave then. But I am glad to have met you Fatalis and Softfoot. I'll be around here and there if you are looking for me." He hissed before heading off...

Greatjaw had been feasting on an Amargrasaur that had been killed with a few bites to the neck. He watched from the distance as other predators came out, they were out hunting but were smaller predators. Greatjaw guessed that the bigger predators had been driven out by whatever T-Rex owned this territory. He knew he had to be cautious. He had heard there was a gigantic Tyrannosaur and was as long as a Brachiosaur but not as large. Still he knew Largefang had deserved his death, he had betrayed the trust of that Rex. Greatjaw was cocky but also cautious, this T-Rex would kill him if it was around unless he could be allowed to stay in the territory but he did doubt that. There was even more predators out there just as dangerous. He remembered the sight of a huge black raptor which had killed a Tyrannosaur before, that monster had been terrifying...

RazorEdge shrugged and growled "True, speaking of eating I'm peckish." With that RazorEdge walked over to the stream and watched patiently for a fish to cross his path. After a few moments of waiting a small fish with blue scales swam in front of RazorEdge. He snapped it up with his jaws and stripped some meat of the now dead fish.

Sandstorm and Shadow leaf each picked up a hatchling and started following Steeltalon. They were quite, deep in thought, not wanting to think about wither Darkness was okay. Looking at Steeltalon, he was reminded of how Softfoot had looked. He shuddered, not wanting to consider the possiblity.

Softfoot watched Grimfang leave and then grunted, turning around. She hissed "uhh are you going to actually eat something or just stand there all day?" She took a bite out of the gali, chewing it idely.

Steeltalon continued to run along the familiar trail, trying to ignore the fear that had welled up inside her since discovering Darkness wasn't there. The second place was not too far from here...about an hour or so away, at this pace. She sped up a little, hoping to cut the time it would take down by a bit.

Raven was following in the trees, unable to ignore the scents of blood, death and fear. She's taken this trail before, he realized, watching her run with a certainty that could not be matched.

Darkness stood his ground, barring his teeth at the Carchar. Gigus bellowed, charging forward. Darkness jumped onto the branch again, leaping at the back of the Carchar's neck, digging his claws into it's flesh, sliding down the side of it's neck. Gigus bellowed again, swinging his head at Darkness, knocking the black raptor to the ground. Darkness rolled across the ground, finally slamming into the base of a tree. Gigus bellowed, walking forward, lowering his head and charging. Darkness jumped up, clinging to the tree, swiftly climbing up the side, just as Gigus's head struck the tree. Darkness snarled, hearing snaps coming from the base of the tree. He leaped to a branch, the tree finally giving way, Darkness running along the branch, jumping off of it as the tree gained momentum.

The black raptor, clinging to the edge of a branch in the next tree, hoisted himself onto the branch, staring at Gigus. The Carchar was looking around wildly, finally spotting Darkness in the next tree. He bellowed, charging the current tree, Darkness leaping at the beast as he did. Gigus's head connected with the tree, Darkness landing onto the back of his neck, digging his claws into the beast's flesh. Gigus bellowed in pain, the tree he charged, crashing to the ground like the previous one. He moved around the small clearing, trying to make sudden movements to fling the black raptor off. Darkness snarled in frustration, loosing his grip. He bit down on the Carchar's flesh, regaining his tight grip. Gigus moved around the clearing, desperately trying to get the raptor off.

Darkness finally let go, using the momentum of the Carchar's movements to throw himself to the nearest branch, clinging onto it as he landed. Darkness stood up, staring at Gigus, the Carchar turning to him and returning the stare. After a few minutes, Gigus bellowed at the black raptor, but turned away, walking off into the jungle. Darkness remained tense, only relaxing when the footfalls of the beast were completely gone. Darkness relaxed, an exhausted expression coming over his reptilian face. He swayed uneasily, jumping from branch to branch, finally reaching the lowest branch. Darkness swayed too fair to one side, falling off the branch and hitting the ground a few feet below. He remained still, exhausted, only finally rising after a few minutes of rest. Darkness looked over at a nearby bush, seeing the Allosaur.

Darkness snarled, frustrated with the beast. Allosaur! he barked, his tone baring his exhaustion. ....What is your name? Darkness snarled finally, not seeing the use of threatening the creature.

The roars behind her made Steeltalon break into an all-out sprint, remembering the spino she'd attacked. It might still be alive, and it might want revenge. Leaning forward as she ran, she would surely kill herself if she ran into anything at this speed. But as she ran, she remembered something else...it would only take them half an hour to reach the second resting place, giving them the rest of the day to relax and get their energy back.

Raven blinked in surprise as Steeltalon raced forward and picked up his pace as well, trying to match her speed. They must be close, if she was risking everything by running like that. He said nothing, however, and continued running, hoping to catch sight of where they were going before nightfall.

Blade looked at the Raptor wide eyed in surprise. it had survived a fight with a Carcha, and had delivered more damage than he had been given. when it called out to him, he looked at it, silent for a few moments before finally growling "B...B..Blade. My name's Blade"...

Sandstorm bared his fangs in annoyance at Steeltalons pace. He pushed himself into a sprint and cought up with her, transferring the hatchling into his claws and barking "Steeltalon! Slow down!" At this speed she wouldn't notice if something happened to anyone behind her. They had to avoid being split up.

Darkness shuddered at the name, memories of his past creeping into his mind. He shook it off, looking back at the Allosaur. Well....Blade...your welcome to join me in my tavels... Darkness growled, nodding to the Allosaur. He turned around before it could answer, finding the scent trail again. Darkness walked along it, exhausted from his fight, but needing to continue.

Blade was surprised by the Raptor's words, but decided he'd best not hesitate to accept it to avoid giving the Raptor time to change it's mind. he walked after it, trying his best to keep going, ignoring his hunger for now...

Fatalis looked at Softfoot and nodded, and started to tear at the carcass, suddenly feeling very hungry. he riped and tore at the carcass, taking large chunks and swallowing them whole...

She switched the hatchling in her saw to her hands, cradling the two close to her chest. "Almost there," Steeltalon growled in reply, catching sight of where they were to spend the night. A little farther...she slowed down anyways, though not by much. Just as the sun began to reach it's highest point, she reached the first place she'd stayed in her deserate escape. She set down the hatchlings and barked, "Another day and we'll be there..." She collapsed onto her side, exhausted. "Just gotta...rest for a while..." Her head fell to her crossed wrists with a soft thud as a sigh escaped the half-mutant.

Raven leapt from the trees and looked around. This place wasn't as sheltered as the last, but at least there was a small stream just beyond where the forest started again. Vaguely he wondered if this stream fed the much larger one in the territory they had just vacated. There was a small dip in the ground, coated in thick, luxurious grass. Raven nudged the hatchlings into it and watched them start play fighting.
