As soon as Steeltalon forced herself to swallow a few more mouthfuls and the hatchlings had eaten their fill, she stretched out on her side and curled up beside her hatchlings. The lack of their father seemed to have confused them, and Steeltalon had to purr soothingly to them for a few minutes before they finally fell into a light sleep. Their mother soon followed, closing her scarlt eyes as sleep finally wrapped itself around her.

Silver rested beside her daughter, occasionally nuzzling the tiny hatchling. My daughter...our daughter, she thought proudly as she succumbed to sleep.

Fatalis chased after Softfoot, keeping his speed steady with hers, to make sure they didn't split up...

the two raptors soon arrived at the Cave, where BlackStorm was resting, curled around the hatchlings, and HookFang guarding them. Fatalis walked in quietly, and went to his spot in the corner, the soft, warm, dry grass was a welcoming resting spot and he soon fell to sleep after nodding a good night at SoftFoot...

Softfoot nodded back and colapsed by the rock she had sleapt by before. She closed her eyes trying to fall asleep. Still annoyed about Grimfang showing up. He had delayed them when Fatalis was suposed to be teaching her some of the lone wolves tricks...

Darkness awoke slowly, the sunlight marking for him to start on his trek again. He rose from the ground, stretching and looking toward Blade. Darkness heard movement, swinging around to see the other raptors awake already. He barked a goodbye to them, walking past Blade and back onto the trail, knowing the Allosaur would join him shortly...

Blade jerked up to the sound of raptor chirps. he looked around and saw Darkness wasn't there. he looked at one of the Raptors which looked at a small path near the southern part of the clearing. Blade nodded thankfully, and raced off to try and catch up with Darkness...

Raven was already up, barking softly to wake everyone else. They needed to get moving soon.

Steeltalon awoke and scrambled up, waking the hatchlings in the process, who let out confused chirps. She nudged Sandstorm and Shadowleaf, turning to Switchblade and giving the lili a gentle nudge as well. "We need to get moving," Steeltalon growled. "If we go now, we'll arrive at my old home before noon." She hastily gulped down a few mouthfuls of water from the stream and gently scooped up two of the hatchlings in her clawed hands.

Raven gave a sigh, jumped from the branch and gently picked up the lili in his own hands, being sure to try not to startle her. He made sure that she wouldn't slip during and run and turned to Steeltalon, waiting for her signal.

Steeltalon gestured for the others to follow her and bolted off once again along the familiar path.

Darkness looked back, seeing Blade trying to catch up. He slowed himself to a walk, only running again when the Allosaur was close enough. Darkness was following the scent trail again, the trail itself almost gone. He snarled in annoyance, still not seeing this move as "needed". Darkness continued on at a steady pace, wanting desperately to see his mate and hatchlings, along with his friends...

Shadow leaf nodded and woke up Sandstorm, who was still asleep. They quickly picked up the hatchlings and started following. Shadow leaf had woken during the night and had eaten what was left of the small Gali. While they were running, Sandstorm explained breifly about what Steeltalon told him the night before.

Softfoot woke with a groan. Her elyes opened slowly, heavy with tiredness. She looked up around the cave. Everyone was asleep. Not wanting to disturb them she stood up and walked out quitely. When outside, she settled down in the grass next to a tree. Still not fully awake she rested her head down again, enjoying the sun light.

Blade decided to go into a run to make sure he could keep up with Darkness. his two years of playing and leaping after Dragonflies and chasing unusually large compies had done something for him, and now he'd lost so much weight out of lack of food, he was just about fast enough to keep up with a running raptor...

Fatalis woke up that morning with a growling yawn, letting out a snarl of relief as he stretched, loosening his stiff muscles. his leg had, by now, completely healed, but it had become extremely stiff in the process, and ached like mad. Fatalis began to do low kicking and leg stretching practices he usually did before hunting, to make sure his leg was brought back to it's old flexible self...

Softfoot rested by the tree for another while, but eventualy started feeling bored. She yawned lazily wondering when the others were going to get up. With a grunt, she stood up and walked away fromt he cavem walking towards a stream not to far away. After a short walk she arrived at the stream and lapped up the cool water, soothing her throat...

Sandstorm continued to follow Steeltalon through the trees. It was hard, as she seemed to know exactly where they were going at all times. Making sudden movedments and turns. Ever so often he would glance around at the unfamiliar landscape around him..

Darkness bolted along the trail, ignoring the strange jungle around him. All he wanted was to catch up with the group, desperately starting to feel alone, despite his Allosaur companion. Darkness snarled in frustration, scenting the ground. The scent trail was slightly stronger here, meaning he was gaining. Darkness looked back at Blade, gesturing for him to continue, continueing his trek across the unfarmiliar landscape.

A loud crash brought Steeltalon to a sudden halt and immediately she hid the hatchlings under a half-buried fallen log. She looked up and let out a bark of alarm; a huge spino was right in front of them, not four feet away. It bore vicious scars from when Steeltalon attacked it, and it seemed to remember her, for it let out a booming roar when it saw her.

Raven gave a startled hiss when the spino appeared. He had heard that Steeltalon attacked an adult spino once before.... She must've been crazy! he thought in astonishment. This has to be the spino she attacked. Those slash scars could only have come from a raptor. Leaping from the branch he was on, he ran forward and put the Lili with the two hatchlings Steeltalon had hidden. He rose to his full height and glared at the spino, not at all in the mood for this.

Sandstorm froze, staring up at the huge dinosaur. He was knocked out of the trance by Shadow leaf who nudged him as she passed. He snapped out of it and hid the hatchling with others. He took a position next to raven, snarling. Shadow leaf did the same. He would've instinctivly run, split up, but he was in unfamiliar territory and the hatchlings were there. He was ready to leap up into the branches, but would stay unless he simpliy had to run.

The spino lunged at Steeltalon, making her leap away. She hissed as she slashed at its snout, leaving a deep cut. It roared in agony and knocked her to the ground, trying to pin her down. She thrashed and kicked up, again hitting it in the snout, making it back away, shaking scarlet drops of blood from its face. By the time it was ready to attack again, Raven had leapt onto its neck and started clawing and biting, trying to hit a major vein. Steeltalon had scrambled up and slid under the massive spino, attacking its ankles, trying to get it to fall so as to put them in control of the situation, and perhaps kill the spino.

Switchblade cowered with the hatchlings under the log. She had been exposed long enough to see a gigantic, angry spinosaurus. This dinosaur was nothing like Redtooth. It was covered with deep scars that looked like they had come from a raptor's dagger-like killing claws. The Lili trembled and scootched deeper into the log, edging closer to the young hatchlings. She closed her eyes and pressed her head against the ground, not wanting to look out for fear of seeing the monstrous spinosaur.

Sandstorm shrieked and charged foreward, dodgeing to the side. he leapt up onto the spinos leg and slashed at its muscles with his claws. Shadow leaf was climbing a near by tree, she ran out along a branch and leapt off landing on the spino, just above its arm, she bit it into it trying to get a grip on it.

Ruby gently nudged the lili, not understanding what was going on but wanting to offer some comfort all the same. Blackstripe, the more muscular of the four by now, squeaked, "They be okay." her emerald eyes glittered with the strength of her belief as the sounds of the battle raged outside.

Steeltalon finally severed a tendon in one ankle, making the spino bellow in pain and crash to the ground with a considerable thud. Steeltalon staggered, coughing from the dust that had risen into the air, and glared into the spino's eyes. It hissed at her and attempted to take her head off with a loud snap of its jaws, but Raven slashed the back of its neck and cut open a few major veins, making the spino roar in pain again.

Shadow leaf leapt away from the spino as it fell, narrowly avoiding being crusher by it. Sandstorm was on its side his claws dug in he took a few steps foreward, but was still wary of its jaws. Shadow leaf snarled bit into the bakc of its neck breifly and then pulled back...

Steeltalon, breathing heavily, managed to growl, "It's going to die of blood--" Before she could finish, Raven walked around the spino's head and bit down on its throat, slashing with both of his killing toes. Soon the spino stopped thrashing and was still. "Or...that works," Steeltalon hissed, staring at the now-dead spino. "Well, we're almost there anyways. In fact..." She backed away from the spino and thrust her way through a thick patch of ferns. She was looking at her old home and, sure enough, the skeletons of her family as well. She turned and barked, "We're here."

Raven ran to Steeltalon's side and gazed at the clearing. "Are...are you going to move the skeletons?" he asked, only recieving a nod in response as the four hatchlings ran forward one after the other.

Sandstorm looked at the dead spino and shrugged, he followed Steeltalon through the ferns, Shadow leaf hoped over the spinos head and followed aswell. Sandstorm looked around Steeltalons old home slowy, it was a clearing with thick grass a small river and a couple small streams nearby, a large above ground cave went far back into a cliff with the skeletons outside it, probabley Steeltalons familiy. It looked like a very secure place to live. He nodded at Steeltalon respectfully, decideing not to go into the clearing untill Steeltalon had done what she wanted to do.
