Darkness's eyes flicked open, scanning the space infront of him. He was in some sort of cave. How the... Darkness snarled, sitting up. He spotted Shadow Leaf and Raven. Darkness jumped up, his one leg collapsing under the effort. He looked at them, stunned. It can't...be... Darkness growled, shaking his head. Did the trail end here? But I saw no one... he snarled, still shaking his head. Darkness collapsed back onto the ground, in a laying position, staring ahead of him. Blade! he snarled suddenly, turning with amazing speed, running out of the cave, still having a heavy limp. Darkness spotted the Allosaur on the edge of the clearing, limping to him and seeing that he was still alive. Darkness began to drag the Allosaur closer to the cave, finally laying him down next to it, limping into the cave itself and grabbing the compy he saw infront of him, laying it next to Blade. Satiefied, Darkness limped back into the cave, laying down, still tired, but remained awake.

Steeltalon burst into the clearing and stared in disbelief at her mate. The one she had thought was dead. Who she thought she'd lost forever. "Darkness," she barked quietly in greeting, her red eyes softening at the sight of him. "We thought you were...." She didn't finish the sentence and she walked forward slowly, as though in a dream, settling down beside her mate. She stretched her head forward and tenderly began licking some of the deeper wounds, deciding that how he got them wasn't important right now.

Raven watched, amused. "Is that an allo?" he asked, noticing for the first time the small creature.

Darkness's spirits leapt at the sight of his mate, the black raptor happy to be in contact with her, to be by her side. Darkness gently rubbed his head against Steeltalon's, unbelievably happy to see her. Darkness turned to look at Raven, nodding. His name is Blade...He is my traveling companion, so to speak... he growled, grinning. Darkness turned back to Steeltalon, eyeing her with unbelievable emotion, something that was strange for him. He layed his head down, slightly tired, but would not dare sleep.

Raven nodded to darkness and decided to give the happy couple a bit of space. Standing, he lept from the ledge he'd been resting on and backed respectfully out of the cave.

Steeltalon continued cleaning Darkness' wounds, just happy to be with him again, to be able to talk to him again. She leaned into the gentle touch of his head against hers, wanting desperately for him to stay here with them.

Shadow leaf was speechless. Darkness had just poped up onto his feet and dragged a juvineille allosaurus into the cave. She smiled and hissed "Good to see your alright Darkness." She nudged the dead compy closer to him and added "You should eat..."
Sandstorm padded over to the cave and growled hapilly when he saw Darkness and Steeltalon. He barked "I thought you were dead brother! Good to see you alive.."

Darkness nodded to Shadow Leaf, ripping a strip of meat from the corpse, swallowing it. He didn't want to move, not ever, in fear of loosing this moment with his mate. Darkness looked at Sandstorm, grinning. Good to be alive, Sandstorm. he growled, still grinning. Darkness sighed, his flank still having a dull pain to it, but he knew that it would take time to heal. He looked around the cave, just now wondering why they arrived here, moving his head closer to Steeltalon. Darkness was confused, but didn't ask, just enjoying the moment with his mate and friends.

[The Kingpin]

Fatalis had come across a dead Protoceratops further down the stream, seemingly the victim of a crocodile attack. Compies were eating the remains, and Fatalis saw it as the perfect opportunity. two of them were trying to peck it's eye out, but had got their heads a bit stuck in the process. he ran out screeching, the compies around the kill scattering, and the two eating the eye having their snouts stuck in the socket while struggling. he bit one and grabbed the other, his jaws and claws quickly killing both. he grabbed them both with his hands, and walked off to a tree near the cave, eating the one in his right hand first...

Blade woke up to see the sun in his eyes. he got up, looking around, and saw a cave next to him and a Compy near where his head had been. he looked at it curiously, then panic struck him. did Darkness go off without me? he thought. "Darkness! where are you!?" he roared, though his sound was more of a shriek at this age...

Steeltalon rested on Darkness' flank and murmured, "Welcome to my old home, love. Hope you find it a bit more secure than the underground caves...I would've told you we were moving home, but everyone was getting a bit uneasy with Crusher in a berserker rage and I decided it wasn't a good time to explain." She sighed happily and added, "I'm just glad you're alive."

Sandstorm dipped his head respectfully and walked out of the cave, Shadow leaf following. He was about to say something when they got outside, but the Allo roared making them jump. Shadow leaf rolled her eyes and trotted over to the dead Spino, the compies having not come back after what happened to the last one. She ripped a chunk of meat out of it, and brought it over to Blade droping it near his head. the meat wasnt fresh, but it would do. She backed away quickly, it was only a juvineille but that was still bigger than her.

Blade looked at the piece of flesh hungrily, but was still fearful of where he was. he looked up at the Raptor for a moment, and growled "Who are you? where's Darkness?". he looked around, spotting another Raptor, a bit worried by it's presence. he knew what happened to small animals surrounded by raptors, and was hoping that that fate wasn't his...

Darkness nodded to his mate, grinning still. He made a bark, signaling to Blade that he was ok. Darkness looked back at Steeltalon, love in his gaze. I'm glad I found you...I thought I'd never see you again... he growled, smiling slightly. I'm just glad to be by your side... Darkness growled, still smiling. He would have to warn them about his Carchar nemesis, but not now. He just wanted to enjoy the moment...

Shadow leaf crouched down trying to make herself seem less foreboding. She hissed quitely "Darkness is in the cave with his mate. He is alright." She gestured towards Raven and Sandstorm and added "We won't hurt you, you are safe here." Sandstorm nodded to confirm what she said, but other than that remained still.

Softfoot tore another bit of meat from the almost skeltonized compy and then pushed the corpse to the side. She reached over dragging theo ther corpse closer and then tore open its side...

[Pyronychus]

Switchblade woke to a bright beam of sunlight shining through the ferns. She yawned and stiffly crawled out and got to her feet. She heard something happening in the cave and decided to investigate. The Lili tentatively poked her head around the corner of the cave, hoping not to intrude too much. Then she gasped in surprise. "Darkness! You're alive!" She made one small skipping hop, then stopped suddenly and stared. It wasn't Darkness she was staring at though, but a small dinosaur of a species she had never seen. She cocked her head, wondering where this dinosaur had come from. "Uh, w-what's he? And where'd he come from?" she asked cautiously. This must have been the first time in her life that she did not run away when meeting someone new. Then again, this dinosaur wasn't twenty times her size and looking for a meal.

Blade made a sigh of relief. "His mate? you mean we've finally arrived?". the Allosaur grabbed the piece of flesh on the ground and gulped it down, before ripping the Compy in half and eating both halves one after the other. he looked up, at the young dinosaur nearby, and growled "I'm Blade, an Allosaur. i was with Darkness while he came here. he probably saved my life by finding me...if it wasn't for him, i would've starved to death". he then looked back at the Raptors who had answered him, a look of what seeemd to be embarrasment in his eyes, as he growled "Is there anything else i can eat? im starving". having gone for weeks with the occasional lucky break with a half eaten compy or an abandoned egg, starvation was obvious in his looks. he seemed almost skeletal, a shadow of what an Allosaur his age should look like. he hoped that that wasn't the last bit of food he'd have for the day...

NOTE: Blade, at the moment, is about Darkness' size. he's not exactly tiny.

Shadow leaf laughed slightly and gestured to the Spinosuarus corpse behind him Blade and hissed "Take as much as you like."

Sandstorm turned and answered Switchblades question "He is an allosaurus, and yes Darkness is back, he is in the cave with Steeltalon." He regarded the creture with curious eyes. Back in the old terrirory, when the pack was still around, they often had trouble with Allosaurus's..

[Pyronychus]

Switchblade gulped and backed up a step. As she watched the dinosaur tear a compy apart, her eyes widened. She hoped she was big enough to avoid being mistaken for a compy. She gulped again and took a few steps forward, fully exposing herself. "Uh, hi." she muttered in a high almost squeaky tone, her voice quivering with anxiety. She kept a good distance between herself and the allosaur... just in case... The Lili tried to calm herself, and chirped, her voice evening out, "An a-allosaurus? I don't think I've heard of them before."

orange sail and razor edge opened their eyes and saw that it was now morning. the first thing razor edge wanted to do was wander about this area. the raptor appraoched orange sail and growled:"may i wander about this area?" the spinosaur nodded and growled:"this area is my territory and you are free to go wherever you chose. just stay alert in case anything tries to attack you." razor edge growled:"don't worry, i'll be careful." with that, the raptor ran off to the north. he wanted to see if there was anything interesting in the terriotry. he listened and watched carefully in case there was anything that might want to attack him.

Blade nodded in thanks to the Raptor, and then looked at the smaller dinosaur, which looked like a Dilophosaur to him, but with a smaller crest, and no frills. he growled "Hi" in response. it seemed a bit frightened, and he felt a bit guilty for it. he knew how it felt to be fearful of something larger than you, and the thought of scaring something as innocent as that was a feeling he didn't like. when it calmed down, he sighed in relief, and growled "Well, when fully grown, we're a bit smaller than Rexes. just faster and more nimble, but not as strong". he then walked over to the Spino carcass, watched the smaller dinosaur for a moment, and then started ripping into the kill hungrily, wondering if there was anything else it wanted t say...


Fatalis walked towards the cave, and spotted SoftFoot, eating a Compy, with another one dead by her side. he took another bite out of the one in his right hand, and hissed "Good Morning SoftFoot. it seems your hungry as well. how was your rest?"...

She looked up to at Fatalis and nodded, acknowledgeing him. She pushed the compy away slightly and barked "yes, im always hungery in the morning... Enjoy your mid-night patrol?" She stretched idly waking her muscles up.

[Pyronychus]

Switchblade's jaw dropped a tiny bit in surprise for a moment before she recovered. "You're going to be almost as big as a Rex?" The Lili didn't know there were so many species of large carnivores out there. It was a scary thought to a relatively small, lightly built dinosaur like herself. But she put this thought aside, now becoming more interested in the allosaur. She stood deep in thought for a moment, then snapped back to her senses. "Sorry, I don't think I introduced myself," she chirped, a bit embaressed that she forgot. The Lili quickly regained her composure and chirped, "My name's Switchblade. I'm a Liliensternus." she lowered her gaze slightly. "My kind doesn't get very big. Maybe a little bigger than a Dilophosaur or velociraptor. We're also a bit rare." she smiled at the irony of he next thought. "In fact I haven't seen another Lili since I last saw my family," she trailed off staring at the ground, then quickly changed the subject. "Uh, would it be okay if I had a bite of that?" she asked, gestuing toward the dead spinosaur and dipping her head in respect.
