Bronx stood in the river current, waiting for a fish of sufficient size to come by. He waited patiently, and again silently cursed the Suchomimus pair that had pushed him further downstream a few years ago. Ever since they had appeared here, the fish gotten more scarce, and with the Spinos fishing at the source they were hard enough to find as it was. Scavenging was always an option, but he preferred fresh fish to rotting meat.
As soon as Bronx spotted a fish nearing him, he stayed still and as soon as it came near, he struck out with his clawed hands, pulled it out of the water and snapped it up. It was the first food since earlier that day, thanks again to the Suchomimuses upstream.
While Bronx readied himself for another fish, he heard the sound of footfalls. And from the smell of it, a Tyrannosaur. How he loathed the Tyrannosaurs, conceited and intrusive short-snouts they were. But as he heard the lumbering brute approach, his mind came up with a plan. Perhaps I can rid myself of the Suchos, he thought. Quickly, Bronx readied himself for the oncoming Tyrannosaur...
It's you and me against the world. We attack at dawn.
This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang but with a whimper. - T.S. Eliot
