Well, his lust for revenge on me seems to be greater than any of my "revenge quests"... Darkness growled, shaking his head. At that moment, he realized he had just said something about his past. Darkness stumbled with his words, finally finding what to say. His territory isn't around here, but we still should be careful... he growled quickly, uneasy about his previous sentence...

Steeltalon paused for a moment, her curiosity peaked by Darkness' words. "Revenge quests?" she inquired, pressing the moss to yet another wound, the cold water seeping into the injury. "What do you mean by that?"

Darkness glanced around wildly, not knowing what to say. Well....uh...I had a few...creatures...that I didn't like... he growled, glancing from Steeltalon to the ground, hoping that the subject would change...

Blade growled "Steeltalon doesn't seem insane...she's saner than most of the predators i've come across so far". he thought of all the Carnotaurs, Cryolophosaurs, Spinos and larger Allosaurs that had tried to hunt him down so far...

Fatalis nodded. "It does. not just for making things run, either. the intimidating glare you can give another creature is enough to distract it while you do other things. for example, if you have a pack of Raptors on your side, and you're after a Ceratosaur, for example, you could use that glare to intimidate it and distract it while the other Raptors surround it unnoticed, meaning it's easier to kill"...

Steeltalon knew that Darkness was not being honest with her. Hurt flashed in her red eyes for a split second, so fast that no one would be sure it was ever there. "Alright then," she murmured, her voice carefully controlled and neutral.

Raven growled, "That's because she was born into a line of mutants...she's only half of what she might've been."

Darkness watched Steeltalon's every move, studying her expression. She would never just give up like this... he thought to himself, shaking his head. Darkness sighed heavily, looking back at Steeltalon. You've never heard about my past, have you? he growled, resting his head against her's, a brief gesture of appology. Its not something of distrust or dislike...I just feel that my past...may not be something you want to hear... Darkness growled, his voice barely a whisper.

Softfoot thought about it for a second and then barked "Sounds risky, what if the predator just charged at you. Not much chance of escape then."

Shadow leaf listened intently, but then had to ask the question which was bugging her, she hissed nervously "umm, Do all full mutants go insane? I mean, is there such thing as a full mutant who is perfectly normal?"

Raven glanced at Shadowleaf sympathetically and shook his head. "I'm sorry, but....I've never met a full mutant that wasn't insane. Maybe some managed to shake the insanity off, but then fell seriously ill and died. I've no idea why, though."

Steeltalon murmured, "That's what I thought....before I told everyone what happened."

Steeltalon...I...Crusher, his family, Rawclaw's pack, his mother and father, countless other creatures I didn't even know....all were killed or harmed at my claws... Darkness growled suddenly, looking down at his clawed hands. He shook his head, sighing deeply. I knew that if you ever found out....I could never be with you...That you would think of me as a monster... Darkness growled, lowering his head, looking at Steeltalon, sorrow in his gaze.

Shadow leaf winced, a pang of sadness went surgeing through her, she sighed and hissed "Ok, thank you Raven, but please, even if he asks, don't tell Sandstorm." Shadow leaf glanced around the clearing un-certainly. Softfoot was almost definately insane. She was unstable to begin with, now, she was probably beyond the brink. Suddenly moving home had another benefit, Softfoot didn't know where they lived now.

Sandstorm hopped off the branch and barked to nobody in particular "I'm going for a walk, have a look around.." Shadow leaf nodded and he left the clearing walking into the jungle.

Steeltalon blinked and moved one handclaw under Darkness' chin, lifting his head gently so he had to look at her eye to eye. "You're such a moron," she murmured. "You know I love you. Why would you think I'd call you a monster? You're nothing like Riptide, do you understand that? He was a true monster...I know you'll never be like that."

Raven nodded to acknowledge Shadowleaf's words and stood, arching his back in a stretch. Seeing the tender moment between Steeltalon and Darkness, Raven leapt into a tree, and from there sprang ontop the top of the cliff, where he'd slept last night.

Blade nodded. he fell silent for a moment, and then hissed "Have you ever come across an Allosaur mutant?". he remembered that there was one Allosaur in their pack unlike the others. it behaved differently, and had larger teeth, and was an odd green colour. not the kind of green that could hide it in a jungle. it was unnatural green. a bright green that seemed to stand out wherever it went. it was also the one that scared the others into leaving Blade and his wounded mother behind...

Raven flipped over onto his back, hanging his head over the side of the cliff and letting himself relax as he growled to Blade, "I think so...more aggressive than the average allo, that's for sure. It's also nearly impossible to guess what they'll do next, whether or not they'll attack."

Switchblade, having had her fill of the spinosaur, began walking aimlessly around the clearing. She eventually made her way to the center and laid down on her back, staring intently up at the puffy clouds as they floated lazily across the sky. "That one looks like Sabre," she chirped out loud to herself as a Liliensternus-shaped cloud floated into view. The Lili continued to stare at the sky for what seemed like hours, imagining herself up there, flying effortlessly through the clouds...

Darkness smiled at Steeltalon, realizing that she was right. And I love you, Steeltalon... he growled, staring into the female's eyes. I will never return to my old ways...never... Darkness growled, shaking his head. Be sure of that...

Blade nodded. he decided he'd have a bit more of the Spinosaur carcass, now that what he had eaten had gone down. he was starting to feel hungry again. he walked over to it, and started to take bites out of it...

Fatalis chuckled. "haven't you ever tried charging at it?" he hissed, knowing it probably sounded absolutely insane the way he said it...

Raven watched the little Lili and called, "So you like to watch clouds, huh?" He flipped onto his side while he waited for her reply.

Steeltalon smiled back faintly, seeing the Darkness she'd fallen in love with. "There's the Darkness I know," she murmured, setting down the wad of moss.

Softfoot looked at him as if he had 4 tails and three heads, she barked in an alarmed tone "Charge a carnotuar?!?!? wow.... Fatalis, you keep suprising me. From what your sister tells me, and from what you say, you are probably the most reckless raptor I have ever met. And Sandstorm used to willingly go foreward as a decoy to lure rexes away."

Fatalis made a barking chuckle and hissed "I dont mean go right at it's mouth! im not that crazy! I meant charge at it so that it stops, wondering what you're doing for a moment, it lunges for you, you move out of the way of it's head, and slide underneath it". his choice of words served to lighten his mood. "Reckless, perhaps, but if it's a life or death situation, wouldn't you take risks to ensure your survival?"...

Blade had eaten his fill for the second time that day. he amazed himself. he never thought he could eat so much alone. half of the Spinosaur's leg muscle had been eaten away by him alone. he walked away from the carcass, and started to practice his old favourite fighting technique. he'd move sideways around a spot he marked at the target, usually a tree if no other target was availalbe. this time, it was a short tree stump. he leapt around it actively, making little growls and ramming it. after a while, he decided his little evading jumps had been enough for now, and went to see what the others were doing...

Softfoot thought and snarled "True, I have had to act in similar ways before when it was life or death, but Blackstorm told me some things about you and.... it sounds like you do it to show off. I mean, I used to do some stupid things just for fun, but never played with a life, mine or someone elses."
