B Movies

Postby TyrannoTitan » Fri Dec 29, 2006 4:35 am

I'm sure you have all seen a B movie before. Its those cheesy monster movies. They are great in my eyes.
Examples are...

The Blob
Gwangi
THEM!
Komodo VS Cobra
Reptilicus
Yonggary

Godzilla is sometimes even considered a B movie. I love them. They are great movies and are very cheap to buy.

No. B movies are movies RARELY seen in theaters. Black comedies are when someone dies and it makes you laugh.

i know one that COULD be considered a B movie. Highway 666. it's a VERY cheap horror about a bunch of criminals killed by a sheriff and haunt the highway...highway 666. wierd, ridiculous and SLIGHTLY creepy [well, a bunch of guys with makeup that looks like teal coloured gravel cant be a good thing, right? :P ]

Ya. He danced at the end. He jumped up and down and put his hand on his head. Realy wierd. And in Godzilla VS Hedorah, he flew by shooting his nuclear breath at the ground. That was the really old and cheesy Godzilla series, the Showa Series.

Anyone ever seen Manos:Hands of Fate? It's definatly a B-Movie, and though I've never seen it, but I've heard it is the worst movie ever made.
It's you and me against the world. We attack at dawn.

This is the way the world ends. Not with a bang but with a whimper. - T.S. Eliot

im lucky enough not to have seen it... :P

3 things make a good movie, IMO:
1) it has to have a good story
2) the acting has to be believable
3) the Special Effects, if present, MUST be able to look real and seemlessly blend in with the movie environment.

What do you think Godzilla is? The story don't make no sense half the time, the actors mouths move differently cause its english over Japanese, and the monsters are people in suits! But you know what? The Godzilla fandom would be really pissed if anyone changed the story, actors, or effects cause thats what makes a Godzilla movie great! It's all what somebody pictures a "perfect movie" would be.

The ultimate B-movie of all: Attack of the killer tomatoes.

I haven't seen it, but it's about giant tomatoes that eat people.
