Riddles

Postby Shadow » Mon Aug 13, 2007 7:19 pm

This is how it works: I post a riddle, you have to try and guess the answer. When somebody works it out I will post another riddle.

First riddle: What part of a bird is on the water but always stays dry?
When you want it the most there's no easy way out
When you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt
Don't give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that's the way it is

Hm, well the whole bird is on the water, but the underbelly is the part that would get wet and the feet. Would it be the top part of the bird?

No. But a good guess. I didn't explain it properly. Sorry about that.

Let me rephrase it: What part of a bird is up in the sky, and on the water but always stays dry?

Better?

It's better...and I'm going to guess that it's the feathers.

-shrugs-

A wild guess.

Would it be the birds internal organs, or is it more of a methaphorical thing, like its hunting grounds?

i hate to admit it :P , but Stallo's right. the shadow cant get wet, and the area of the bird's body that isn't covered with light is shaded, or shadowed as the case would be here. at the same time, it's voer water or land, and never gets wet or dirty...
