Isla Sorna Stories RPG

Where good and bad RPGs and E-wars go to die.

"Okay." I walk off, trying to find some rexes. I see the giant one, the one that killed my family. I silently stalk him. I'm completely invisible, and I'm downwind of him. I then notice a Chryolophosaurus, those 25-foot long predators with strange crests. The T-rex seems to be very agressive toward it. I've seen that same one confront, and often kill, Dilophosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus, Spinosaurus, Carnotaurus, Troodon, Allosaurus, Metriacanthosaurus, Megalosaurus, Albertosaurus, and even compies. It seems that they are intolerant of nearly every predator on the island.

Crasher looked around. He stretched and yawned. He then rolled on his back and tried to amuse himself. He got up and went to hunt. He found a river nearby. He ran towards the river. The river housed baryonyx. Crasher roared. He then took a drink. He spotted the baryonyx. He thought it would make a good meal.

P.S. I am muslim and i also made my character different. He's your lost brother lol.

[Crusher: check your Private Messages]

While Rampage and Crusher are watching the Cryolophosaur carefully, waiting for it's answer, Razor starts to explore. Fury, also focused on the Cryolophosaur, doesn't notice. Razor walks around the nest quietly, and while looking around, bumps into a predator about his size. it had a hook claw on it's foot, and a long snout. it was what he'd later learn to be a Troodon. he chirped at it with curiosity "who are you?"...

Bronx stood in the shade of the trees, absent-mindedly watching the river flow by as he wandered about his thoughts. He was somewhat troubled, recently, he had noticed he was becoming impulsive. For starters, he had began his plan with little fore-thought, even having to improvise his lie that had almost lead to his downfall. And now the Tyrannosaur distrusted him. He could have come up with a better lie, or tried lying to the Suchos so that he wouldn't of had to lie and instead have been telling the truth. But that would mean that the Tyrannosaur wasn't killing for fun, he thought. So what could I have done?

And then, there was also using the Troodon as a spy. Bronx found it troubling that he had not bothered to find some way to test his loyalty, and now there was the possibility that the Troodon would tell the Tyrannosaurs that he was plotting something. At least I was smart enough not to tell him anything about the actual details of the plan, he mused. Then things could have gone quite wrong. The last part of the plan requires an element of surprise, if I miss out on that, then there's a great chance I could fail.

I'm distracting myself again, aren't I? he thought. Bronx chastised himself, and then refocused on what he was crituiqing himself for: his impulsiveness. Patience was required to meet his goals, if he was too impulsive, things could come crashing down. Too many points required subtle manipulation or even outright lying, often it would take patience simply to convince the others of his point of view. Acting on impulse was not the way too do it...

A day-old T-rex chick bumps into me. I consider whether to kill him or not, but I remember what I promised to the bary, so I rush back to tell him. "I bumped into a very young T-rex chick. It's Crusher's new son. Also, I found out that rexes are hostile toward all predators except for raptors."

Crusher growled "There's a Cryolophosaur pack to the south, on the edge of my territory. just keep going for about an hour, and you'll see them. the reason im hostile is because my son has just been born, and my previous son was eaten by Grunt the Giga. it was the most powerful predator on the island, but i was the most dominant. angered, it started attacking my family and friends. that was it's downfall...when it killed my son. since then, i have been extra protective of my family. Razor's right over there...Razor!". he turned around just in time to see Razor facing something. as it ran, Crusher recognized the skin pattern...it was a Troodon. the first thing he did was check to see if Razor was hurt. he growled "Who was that?". Razor chirped "It was something i bumped into while i was looking around! I didn't mean to do anything!". Crusher growled "You didn't. just stay away from the edge of the nest. stay close to your mother". he looked back at Red Crest, and growled "You know where to go now. I need to leave". Hunter arrived, and Crusher growled "Stay close to the family. i have a feeling we may have a Troodon pack nearby". after that, he went to where Razor had been, and sniffed around. he realized why he hadn't caught the scent before. it was downwind. started to track the scent...fast...

The group had finally reached the cave. Exile barked with delight when she saw the second baby tyrannosaur she had seen today. She went straight up to it. "Hi, I'm Exile. What's your name?"

Blade went up to Rampage. "That's nice them both being born at the same time" He growled, looking over at Exile and Razor. Rox was looking slightly curious of the new arrival, but stayed far back. But soon, curiosity overtook her, and she bounded over to him.

Red-Crest looked at the group, bravely he told Crusher, "You have an odd bunch there, I keep hearing rumors that you are a bit anti social, I thought anti social creatures don't have friends."

Suddenly, Crasher caught the smell of something familiar. He growled, "weird, that smells like... Crusher! My long lost brother! Where is he though? I would really want to see him." Suddenly, he saw Crusher. He found that he had a daughter ( Son?). But he also saw something creeping very close to the infant. It was a Spinosaur! He ran towards the spino. He roared at the trees. The spinosaur came out. He headbutted the spino. The spino fell to the ground. He bit the spino in the neck. The spino squealed in pain, but then, Crasher made a clean rotation shattering the spino's skull and breaking it in half.

Interesting, Bronx growled. If Crusher had a child, kidnapping it would give them quite a bit of leverage of him and the Tyrannosaurs in general... And the fact that they were hostile other predators was nothing new. But did they follow you here? Also, did you find anything else out? How they fight, family relations, anything else? Already, he was growing impatient with this Troodon. As soon as the deed was done, he would be glad to be rid of this one...

"Well, they are monogamous, the young are very curious, and the adult young seem to stay with their parents, at least some do. As for fighting, I know that Crusher fights by, well, crushing with tooth and bulk. I heard that he smashed a Spinosaurus into a pulp to save his mate. Speaking of Crusher, he's on my trail. He caught the slightest glimpse of me, and now he's on to me like a dragonfly hunting a mosquito. Aww crap, I hear something big in the forest. Very big. Before we die, I'll reveal what I was plotting. I was going to spook that giant herd of Triceratops, and get them to stampede to Crusher's nest site. Crusher would come, and either die of shock by seeing his dead mate and young, or get trampled and gored to death."

Crusher slowed down, sensing the scent was thicker and more potent than before, indicating it was slowing down. he decided to try and track it stealthily. after a little while, he came to a clearing...a familiar one. what he saw surprised him; the Troodon was looking at the Bary that had lied to him earlier, and was apparently telling it something. Crusher listened in...

[guys, every now and then, i may stop in and make a post or two, so dont be surprised if you see me online around this time every other day or so...]

IMPORTANT NOTE: many of the new players are seeing characters when they shouldn't. i.e: Snowstalker saw Otalp and Ripper [the 2 raptors], then saw Crusher and Bronx, and suddenly saw Crusher's Nest, then went back to Bronx. in reality, moving between the Raptor's position and Bronx's territory would take several days, since the Isla Sorna in this RPG is over 1500 KMs from east to west, and nearly 2000 from north east to south west, going to around 1750 KMs from north to south. just look at Sorna's map, and multiply it by 2-4 times or more. Crusher's Nest and the Raptor Cave are about 2-5 KMs apart, so they are reachable in a few minutes for something with as big a stride length as Crusher. just wanted to clarify things so that we dont end up blowing the RPG to pieces...

Crasher wandered off. He then saw a herd of Triceratops. Very slowly he walked through the trees. He found one that was seperated from the herd. He innched closer. Then, he striked. Trike was on guard, ready to fight. Crasher bit the frill of the Triceratops. The Trike fell to the ground, struggling to get up. But Crasher pinned the Trike to the ground with his foot and made bite to the neck. The last thing the Trike saw was his own blood, spilt over the place.

You really think that your plot would work, Troodon? Bronx snarled, patronizing his spy's poor planning skills. Tyrannosaurs would naturally build their nests in very secluded places, being a protective of family as they are. And the Trikes would know to stay away from it, the Tyrannosaur nest is a place of death for them. Now you said that you let the Tyrannosaur follow you here? How did you let him follow you here? You should have been smart enough to slip away, how fast can it be? You're a Troodon, I thought you were supposed to be intelligent. If the Rex doesn't kill you, I will.

Bronx tyrned away from the Troodon, towards the forest where he expected the emergence of the Tyrannosaur. Come on out, Rex! he barked. I thought you were supposed to be stealthy when you were stalking prey, guess the rule must not apply to fish-eaters, huh? Is your ego so big that you think you can show yourself and still be able to defeat us? It was all useless taunting, but perhaps it could anger or irritate Crusher into showing himself. If this was a battle of claws and jaws, he and the Troodon did not stand a chance, but if it was with words, perhaps he could emerge victor...

(Tyrannaosaurus Emperor, check your PM's)

Razor looked at Exile and growled his name to her. He looked to the side to see Rox running straight for him. He yelpt in suprise as she jumped on him, and tried to get to his feet. Rampage looked over at them from the noise they were making.

"You two, settle down" She roared, laughing to herself. She'd leave it to them to get used to eachother.

"Yeah, it is nice" She replied to Blade "They can look out for eachother while they're growing up"

Meanwhile, Crusher heard the words of the Baryonyx. He growled to himself. A fish eater was not going to lie to him, then insult him and live to tell the tale. He emerged from the leaves, watching as the Troodon scampered away. He roared his annoyance "What makes you think that you can get one over on me? You lied to me once, and i let you live. What is your excuse this time for sending a Troodon to spy on me and my family?" His eyes flashed red menacingly, as he awaited a reply

A lie, Bronx needed a lie. He couldn't deny that he had sent the Troodon to spy on Crusher, doing so would only make the Rex more suspicous, possibly enough to kill him outright. And he couldn't tell him the truth, that would only make the Rex want to kill him. But he could try blaming it on someone else. He could blame it on a conspiracy, sending the Rex off elsewhere while he left the area to find some place safer.

A Spinosaur made me do it, he growled feebly, trying to sound like a Spino really had scared him into doing the deed. It was the same as when I tried to get you to attack the Suchos. I really do want the bloodshed between us to end, but he threatened me by saying he'd kill me if I didn't try to distract you... His voice trailed off as he finsished the lie, hoping it would buy him time to escape.
