Crusher considered what the Baryonyx had said. If what he saying were true, he would never forgive himself for killing him. But what if the fish eater was lying again, just to save his own skin? But what would the Baryonyx gain from continuosly lying to him? Gettting on the wrong side of the most dominant predator on the island was not a wise idea.

He growled to himself. He needed to check a few things first. "What was the name of this Spino, and where on the island is he located?"

Bronx's lie worked. The Tyrannosaur bought it, he could send the Rex on a wild goose chase if things worked out all right. He never told me his name, should you have found me, Bronx growled. But he walked off in the direction of the Channels, so I think that's where he went. Already, his mind was plotting a route away from here that should shake off the Tyrannosaur if it came back and found him suspicously missing. The only problem was how to get the Rex off his scent, but if he could find a tunnel to slip through that the Rex was too large to, he would be fine...

Crusher growled "What did he look like? and how can you prove to me that this Spino actually exists, and that your not lying to me again?"

Razor growled as Rox lunged at him, bumping him to the ground. he got up and head butted her, making them both dizzy. after they regained their balance, they started roaring at eachother. Rampage watched as her grand daughter started chirping. she nearly started to laugh. Razor managed to actually make a roar, although it was quite squeaky. Rampage growled "Blade...i have a feeling something bad is brewing around here...Crusher getting lied to by a Bary about a Sucho, and then finding a Troodon seemingly spying on us...it all seems too...odd. and Suchos, Barys and Spinos are rather closely bonded. having one lie to my mate to kill the other one? impossible....i think they're planning something...im just not sure what...yet"...

Crasher went to sniff out his brother. He was hungry. He would kill anything. 4 Spinos appeared and he took the first one down by head butting the spinos neck so hard that it broke.
Second: Second was killed by getting its spine ripped off.
Third: Third was killed by slamming a tree trunk in its stomach.
Fourth: Killed by a bite to the neck.
Crasher yawned and stretched.

EDITED by The Kingpin: dont put any YAY im the second most dominant predator! posts. you didn't say that in your first post, so dont go claiming that now. and even if you had said it, dont go saying things that provoke an aggressive comeback. i will not tolerate arguments on this RPG!

SharpClaw let out a bark that sounded more like a laugh when the two chicks started to play with each other. "Yes, I agree," replied the raptor to Exile. "They will be very close when they grow up together."

Hunter growled "I think we need something to eat". Lightning growled "I'll go. you stay here and guard everyone. i'll be back soon". Hunter nodded. Lightning left the nest, and started to track a herd of Triceratops through the fern covered grounds around the deep river...

[attention: please try and give detail in your posts. it makes people more interested in reading it. saying something like "Rex drank from the river next to him then slept" isn't nearly as interesting as saying "Rex was in a small clearing near a river. the plants around him were lush, a bright green tone tinting everything near them. Rex saw a herd of stegosaurs further down the river. he ignored them, and lapped up a few mouthfuls of the refreshing water that was flowing in front of him, then rested for the first time in 2 days". see what i mean? people like detail. it's one of the things that make or break writers. some of the best writers around are ones that put in detail; ones that allow you to visualize the scene. im not saying dont post if you cant do it in detail. just try and make it so that readers can visualize the scene  ]

Bronx thought for a second. He what was the average coloration of a Spino? Quickly, he came up with another lie. He looked like a regualr spino: mostly dark brown, some blue on the sail, some white on the sides. As for how I can prove it exists, I don't know. But what is the harm that could come to you? If you're attacked, you'll just get to kill a few more of your hated enemies. Your mate can defend herself, and no one would be stupid enough to try to attack you or your family-even if they were successful, you'd no doubt hunt them down and kill them, just like you'd hunt me down and kill me if you found out that I was lying. He hoped it was a satisfactory explanation, though he did have no proof that he was threatened by a fictional Spino. But it didn't matter, he just needed to distract Crusher long enough for him to slip away...

Exile nodded in reply to SharpClaw, and watched the Rex leave the cave. She was just about to say something to Hunter, when Balde barked to them
"We'd best be getting back to the cave. The rest of the pack are hungry, and we must hunt before the sun sets. Are you coming?"

Exile nodded in agreement. Hunting in the darkness was not her idea of pleasent...

Crusher growled with annoyance. he snarled "If i find that you are indeed lying, i wont just hunt you down and kill you. i'll hunt you down, make sure you feel the pain of me ripping you limb from limb, and then kill you and rip you to shreds, as a sign to all the other predators of what happens when im lied to". Crusher was sick of this lying reptilian. if it was lying to him again, he wouldn't just kill it. he'd enjoy every moment of it. he was also sick of this family feud. if it wasn't for the Spinos constantly attempting to retake territory, he would've stopped the killing ages ago. he disliked them for it, and for the fact that they had killed his family years ago, but he had already had his vengence. he didn't need to continue it. he left, anger fading slightly, but still effecting his appearance. his skin colour hadn't changed though. it was still normal. his eyes had changed before he revealed himself. he went through the valley again. he though for a bit...The Channels...close enough. there were a few short-cuts around some unpassable cliffs and gourges along the way...he'd be there and back by the end of the next day. when he was far away from the Bary, he made a messenger roar, informing Hunter not to leave the nest, and to warn any Fish eater who ventured near the nest, and to kill it if it didn't keep back. he wasn't risking anything. he then continued walking, the grassy plans making way for swampy territory....something Crusher was fairly suited for....

As soon as Crusher left, Bronx slipped away, going in the opposite direction from the rex. He didn't know how to cover his scent, but when the rex returned it would only find a trail going so far. He hurried through the jungle, every so once in a while glancing in the direction of a roar or crash, his paranoia setting in.

Bronx knew that he should be able to be far away by the time the Tyrannosaur returned, but still, there was always a chance that the Rex had simply followed him instead... That's nonsense, he growled to himself, and added, There's no way he could have followed me without my noticing it. Still, Bronx was glad when he saw the enterance the tunnel he would escape through was to small for the Rex to fit through.

Crusher arrived at the channels later that day. streams spreading in several different directions, with Ankylosaurs around some parts of it, and Therizinosaurs in others. Styracosaurs were the most common creature there...outnumbered only by the compies which were actually too small to be considered. the trees were overhanging the area, casting a green tint on everything below them. Crusher searched the area for 2 hours; enough time to allow him to cover them thoroughly. nothing. not even a Spinosaur's scent. Crusher growled in anger. this Bary wouldn't lie to him again and get away with it. this time, He was dead. no more excuses. He had brought Crusher's anger down on himself, even though he didn't have to. Crusher started charging back towards where he saw the Bary...his eyes glowing red and his colours changing...and at this rate, he'd be there in half the time...a few hours after nightfall...

Bronx left the cave, emerging into the waning dusk light. He was several miles from the tunnel enterance he had been through earlier, and was certain that the Rex wouldn't be able to track him here. Even if he did, then Bronx still had a plan to talk the Rex out of killing him: he had only claimed to see the Spino go off in the direction of the Channels, and could claim that if the Spino wasn't there, then it could have changed direction or went somewhere else.

And if that didn't work, he could simply note that when his body was found, that of a sub-adult Baryonyx that would not have been able to defend himself, along with Crusher's scent and his unmistakable teeth marks, then his original goal would be accomplished anyways: the Spinos would have something to use to call the fish-eaters together and the attacks on Crusher would only increase until he and his family were dead.

Either way, Bronx won, as long as he could get the Tyrannosaurus to pull himself out of his little temper tantrum and talk to him, and if Bronx couldn't, then his original goal was still accomplished, the Rex just didn't know it, and it would make it all the more surprising when he was attacked or returned to his nest to find his mate hurt or dead. With these thoughts in his mind, Bronx set off to the south, moving towards the main Sucho territories...

Crusher arrived back at where he had left the Bary, and found it had gone. he tracked it for several hours, until he came to a small cave that not he, nor any of his family, other than Razor and Rox, could fit through. he snarled in rage. he started thinking...trying to figure out a way to get through. hmm....this cave.....i've gone past it before....years ago. i used it to get away from a very large Spino....there's another entrance. but where is it? Crusher though. while trying to remember, his thoughts drifted to a purpose for lying to him...what did that Baryonyx lie to him for in the first place? why get him to attack a Sucho? why send him on a wild goose chase that would only lead to the Bary's own death? he decided to return to the nest. he was tired, had many things on his mind, and couldn't focus. he'd have a better time trying to track the Bary the next day. it was a lie. not a killing of one of his family members. so if he lost it's trail, as long as it didn't do anything else to him, it'd be safe. he returned to the nest, exhausted. he told Rampage about it, and about what he was wondering, seeing if she could possibly come up with an answer. he had too many things going through his mind to think of an answer himself. Rampage told him about her worries, and he continued trying to figure it out...

Hunter and Lightning were planning to leave the nest as soon as Rox was 2 years old...to set up another nest...their own territory, near the North-Eastern shore, by the coves. near the cave that he and his family had taken refuge in years ago, and where his grandmother, Crusher's mother, Opal was killed, and where her bones still remained...

The raptors left the cave, and soon arrived back home, unscathed. The rest of the pack were standing there, obviously impatient for the hunt to start. Blade ran forward, accepting their greetings. The sun was quite low now. The day was nearly over. They didn't have much time before it was gone.

Blade started considering whether or not they should leave the hunt until tomorrow, but as he turned to the rest of the pack, he realised how hungry they were. "It'll have to be now" He hissed to himself, and led the lead hunters of the pack into the undergrowth, leaving the rest behind.

Lightning tracked the Trike herd, and saw one elderly one falling behind. she moved to the very edge of the jungle, her skin camouflaging perfectly in the green shade provided by the trees. she waited until it looked like it was about to collapse. she watched it drop to the ground, extremely weak. she then watched as a pack of Raptors charged at it. she had spent the last 4 hours tracking, trying to get the perfect kill for the family. she wasn't going to let a pack of raptors claim her prize. she charged out, her speed actually getting her there before the raptors, which were further away. she bit down on the Trike's neck before it could try and defend itself, then started dragging it by the neck. it was difficult. she wouldn't be able to take it alone. and the Raptors were getting closer. she made a messenger roar, calling Hunter to help her. the raptors would be there soon. she didn't know how long she would be able to keep them off before Hunter arrived. until then, they'd risk the threat of attacking her, for as big a meal as a Trike...

Hunter heard Lightning's roar, and growled "Rox, stay here. i need to go help your mother". he got up, and left the nest, watching Rox sit by Crusher, and started to run when he hit the plains. he'd be there soon...

Bronx felt better as soon as he reached the ocean. The trip downstream was uneventful, but he was upwind and wouldn't have been able to tell if the Tyrannosaur was stalking him until it was too late. The Suchos probably would be easy to manipulate, there was no doubt about that, so long as he was careful.

But right now, he needed to find another spy. The Troodon had abandoned him, though not before revealing himself to the Tyrannosaur, so now not only would he need a new spy, but he would need someone who could actually stay hidden, or who already knew about the rexes. So Bronx made several scratches in trees at the edges of his new territory and set out to find someone who could help him.

Lightning saw the Raptors arrive and start barking. they didn't look like the normal ones. they were apparently what Hunter and his parents called "mutants". the lead one, a male, barked orders to the others, who split up. she now had 2 on either side of her, and 3 in front of her. she growled "Keep away. this is my kill!". the leader hissed "And why should we? we're hungry too! and this isn't your territory!". Lightning growled "Your right. this is Crusher's territory. my mate's father's territory!". the leader stopped for a few seconds, then hissed "Your not. your our next meal. we dont care if you were the mate of the most dominant predator on the island! we're hungry, and your in our way, and just happen to have a meal with you!". Lightning growled "Crusher IS the most dominant predator". the raptor hissed "Not anymore. the Spinos rule the island again...but that isn't much use to you". Lightning looked at the raptor, surprised. how could the Spinos be back in control? Crusher was fine only a few hours ago, and they'd need to challenge Crusher and win in order to take his place. did that mean that...Crusher was dead? nah. impossible. Crusher's rage roars would've reached her before that. she snarled "lies wont slow me down, Raptor. and your not taking the meal i've been hunting for hours just because your hungry". the leader hissed at her and barked at the raptors on her sides to attack. the lunged, but Lightning ducked, and 2 of them went crashing into eachother, adn another missed. only one hit her on the side. she started swerving and moving her body so that she could rach the raptor. she couldnit reach it until it moved it's tail her way. she bit down, dragged it off, and swung it down into the ground, breaking a few bones. then, before it could get up again, she stepped on it. she growled "keep trying. your not going to get the meal". right then, Hunter arrived. seeing the raptors attacking his mate made Hunter go berserk. he roared a higher pitched versin of Crusher's rage roar, and his colours changed. the raptors, which had just realized he was there, hissed at him and attacked. the leader was the first to attack, lunging and hooking onto Hunter's neck, trying to slit his throat. before it could land a deadly blow, Hunter rotated his head quickly, which swung the raptor around enough to give him a grip on it's tail. he bit down, and jerked it off of his neck, then threw it at the 2 raptors which were attacking Lightning. he roared and charged the ones running towards him, which immediately split up and ran for their lives. the 2 attacking Lightning were on the ground, adn the leader was getting up. Hunter snarled "oh no you dont!". he lunged forward, and locked his jaws on it's torso, and crushed it. he then stepped on one of the 2 remaining raptors. the other one was about to get up, and Hunter snarled "your not going anywhere". he stepped on it's tail. Lightning looked at the raptor, and growled "How did the Spino's become dominant? it's impossible! they'd need to challenge Crusher to do that!". the raptor hissed "He was lying! he wanted to make you feel insuperior!". Hunter looked at her, then at the raptor, and snarled "Why would he lye about such a dangerous claim inside the most dominant predator's territory? tell us WHY the Spinos are most dominant". the Raptor snarled weakly "they are getting closer together. i think they're planning to group together against Crusher, to reclaim the island for themselves". Hunter snarled "Go. but if i see you in this territory again, i'll kill you". the raptor jumped to it's feet, and immediately ran. Hunter growled "Let's get this thing back to the nest and let my dad know about this...

Bronx had searched the area, and had so far found only rumors-nothing tangible. After questioning a few Suchos, who though gruff had been willing to answer his questions, he had heard afew interesting rumors. There was a Spino female, making a bid for power, and there were also whispers of strange raptors that had emerged from the caves.

And there were a few other, more outlandish things, too, like one had claimed that they had seen a dinosaur appear out of thin air, a dinosaur that looked like a smaller Tyrannosaur but with strange horns over its eyes called a Carnotorus, and a pool near the old human ruins, that supposedly made one stronger and more intelligent.

But there were things that Bronx could use against the Tyrannosaur, too, like how it had massacred a group of raptors at the old lab-before it burned down-or how he had ruthlessly hunted down and killed most of Thrasher's family. Only a few had escaped, like the female supposedly making a bid for Crusher's power. Supposedly, her mate had also been killed, along with most of her family.

Though all of it was interesting, there was no solid proof. Bronx made it a priority to locate the Spinosaur that was trying to take over Crusher's position. And finding the strange new raptors might be useful, but that would be later, if it still seemed important. Judging from the stories he had heard about them, they were fiercely territorial, and would probably attack him on sight.

I hear a pack of Irritators talking about Crusher. It seems to have gone from Bronx, to Suchomimus, and now Irritator. The talk about the horrible things the giant tyrannosaur has done, and inspires me. I remember how, just a week before Crusher killed my family, my father told me how our species was allied with the Megaraptor, an allosaurid about 30 feet long, with a killing claw on each forelimb. I went on a search for them.

(I would like to join please.)
Name: Thrash
Age: 37
Species: Acrocanthosaurus
Length: 43.5 ft.
Height: 18.9 ft.
Weight: About 5,000
Personality: Thrash, being a loenly creature with no mate in life, is a rather insane, and violent type of dinosaur. Thrash is extreamly protective of his right foot, with witch the middle toe is broken and swollen from previous attacks. Velociraptors are annoying to him and if one is near he will proceed to attack it.
Description: Thrash is a rather large Acrocanthosaurs, he is a dark red on his spine witch is peirced with azule tiger stripes. Unlike his neck witch is covered in zebra like patterns. Thrashes underbelly is a light grey and some of it apears in scar like stripes on his body. Thrash really apears like he has been through a war. His entire body is covered with battle scars and bone infractions but he manages to stay alive.

(Is that enough?)
