Snowclaw didn't attend the meeting. He still moarned for his brother and the other cats. He walked out of the den and to his brother. He used his claws to slice a cresent moon on Loneclaw's fore head. It was a tradition in his clan. When Lonelaw, formally known as Nighteye, was exatly 2 seasons old, he was to be engraved with a wound. A cresent shaped ut on the fore head right in between the eyes. The wound was a symbol of the pain he was going to feel as a warrior, but he was willing for it. Nighteye ussually stayed alone in the trees and would only hunt with Snowclaw. His name before becoming his warrior name was softstep, for his stealthy behaior sine birth. That night, their clan gathered by a plateu in the middle of camp. His father, clan leader raised his claw high into the moon light. He yowled with the intensity of a lion's roar. "TONIGHT, NIGHTEYE! YOU BEOME LONECLAW!" The clan yowled as he lowered the law. Suddenly, a rumbleing shook the forest, the clan sattered, the warriors bravely running to the defense. A light shone down on Lonelaw, he ran from the site. Ever since he felt he didn't deserve the name of a warrior. He thought he was a disgrace. He had now proven true to the warrior name he was bestowed with.
Snowclaw looked at his brother, a small amount of old blood flowed out of the wound. "Father never did give you the mark..." He mewed. He walked to the lake, washed his claw and raised up some fur that was covering his forehead. He looked into his refletion, gazing at his cresent moon scar...
"How did you escape?" Snowclaw mewed to himself.
Lonelaw laid in the tree. He was sevearly hungry. He was very thin. He was weak, barely moved. A deep rumbleing shook the forset. He thought it was the monsters that killed his clan comming for him. The tree snapped, the trap opening. Loneclaw jumped out to escape, some of his fur trapped in the rope was ripped off, he sreehed his pain. He rolled to escape the falling trees.Lonelaw tried to get up but slid on the snow. The monsters were in sight. They weren't regular monsters. They had huge jaws that knoked over the canopies of the trees above. Loneclaw ran for his life. After 10 minutes he was exauhsted. He used the little energy he had left to jump out of the way of the monster, his left paw was hit by the scoop. Pain took over his body as he fell into the snow. He got up, llimping away as sast as possible. Many minutes later, Loneclaw came aross a carcass. He jumped on it, eating the carcass as fast as possible. The rumbleing got louder. He ran, having energy from the scavenged meat. After running for 30 minutes. He came aross many cats, braving the mountains. He slinked to the right, resting, waiting for them to pass. He then saw a familiar face. "Snowclaw?" He mewed. He burst after the group. Sometime later, he came across a cliff. He looked down, seeing a dead cat below. He mewed, giving sympathy to the cat below. He then continued his journey. The cats seemed to have stopped by the hill. He was close. He picked up the pace, the cats in sight. they moved again, closer to the lake. Loneclaw walked down the hill. A short time later, he would have reunited with his brother. The stress of the entire situation made Lonelaw forget how he was freed from his trap other than his running away, getting injured, and following his brother.
