Spottednose came into the nursery and mewed half to himself, "I have a bad feeling about Darkflower all of the sudden."

[Hopeflower]

Streamflower lifted her head, Smokekit tumbling onto her flank, and meowed, "A bad feeling about Darkflower? Why?" Smokekit launched himself at Frostkit and Snowkit, and the three kits started wrestling playfully. Sparrowkit watched his siblings from his perch on Streamflower's shoulder.

Spottednose meowed, "She was acting a little... edgy at one point. I mentioned that the only reason the other Clans would attack us would be if we trespassed, and Darkflower acted defensive."

[Hopeflower]

"Perhaps it'd be a good idea to have Shadowstar question her," Streamflower meowed, grunting slightly as Sparrowkit suddenly pounced at one of her twitching ears. "I doubt Darkflower would lie to her Clan leader." She glanced out of the nursery entrance, seeing Shadowstar eating a large fish.

Spottednose turned to look at the Clan Leader. He turned back and mewed, "Good idea." He gave Streamflower a lick and strode away to talk to Shadowstar.

[Hopeflower]

Shadowstar took another bite of fish, enjoying the unusual taste. She saw Spottednose aproach and sat up, swiping her tongue around her muzzle. "Yes, what is it, Spottednose?" she meowed, wrapping her tail around her paws and pricking her ears.

Spottednose mewed, "Um, I've just noticed recently that Darkflower has been acting a little strange lately."

[Hopeflower]

Shadowstar blinked, glancing at Darkflower, who was eating her own fish a few tail-lengths away. "And why do you suppose her behaviour has been odd?" she asked calmly, giving her deputy a level emerald stare.

Spottednose mewed, "Well, when she got back and asked if the Clans were scented nearby, I said no, since they wouldn't unless they we trespassed on their territoryt or something. All of the sudden, she got defensive over the fact that she never went into anyone else's territory to hunt."

[Hopeflower]

Shadowstar sighed. "It is as I feared," she meowed grimly. "Darkflower has been stealing prey from the other Clans." The fur on her neck bristled as she growled, "Be ready for an attack. ShadowClan will not take kindly to this."

Spottednose nodded, but he couldn't help mewing, "What about Darkflower?"

Snowclaw woke up and walked out of the den. He saw Spottednose and shadowstar. "Did I sleep through another meeting?" He made a small groan and walked to Shadowstar and asked "What did I miss?"

[Hopeflower]

Shadowstar unsheathed her claws and scraped them against the ground. She meowed, "She'll be chased out. I won't risk more raids or return attacks."

Spottednose nodded again and mewed to Snowclaw, "Help get everyone prepared for a possible attack against our camp. Don't worry about Darkflower; Shadowstar will take care of her."

Snowlaw mewed and ran off. He yowled "Every cat of Thunder Clan! Get ready for a possble attack, so says Spottednose!"

Spottednose growled, "Just get everyone ready! As quickly as possible!"

[C S]

Snowclaw yowled to Spotted nose "I AM!" He yowled again "GET READY FOR AN ATTACK!"

[Hopeflower]

Darkflower yowled in shock and sprang to her paws, leaving her half-eaten fish where it was. "What's going on?!" she meowed. "What attack?!"

Saberclaw stood up, fir bristtleing. He snarled "Theiving scum!" He glanced over at Blackstar who gave a nod. He turned back to the other cats. Quickly chooseing 14 able wairrors and howled "Time to teach them NEVER to raid Shadow clan territory" Howling, the cats followed him into the forest, heading for Thunderclan territory. Each one of them bubbeling with anger at this insult.

Spottednose mewed to Darkflower, "That's what I'd like to know. Do YOU know any reason why there would be a possible attack?" He sniffed some of the fresh kill she had brought back. He hissed, "I knew it! This fresh-kill still has ShadowClan scent on it!"
